How to turn on the Airforce 720 blower?

To turn it on, press the on/off trigger. The appliance stops as soon as you release the trigger. For continuous operation, use the lock button after turning on the appliance.

How to switch to vacuum mode?

Connect the appropriate nozzle to the suction inlet (the intake) and attach the dust bag to the air outlet. Then operate the trigger to collect debris and leaves.

What to do if the appliance does not start?

Check that the power cable is plugged into a working outlet, that the outlet is powered, and that the trigger is firmly pressed. If the problem persists, the carbon brushes may be worn.

When should the carbon brushes be replaced?

Replace them if their length is less than 6 mm. To change them, remove the brush covers with a screwdriver, insert the new ones, and screw the covers back on.

How to empty the dust bag?

When the bag is full, remove it from the appliance, open its opening and empty the debris into a trash can. Put it back correctly before continuing.

What accessories are included with the blower?

The contents include: short nozzle, long nozzle, flexible hose, two vacuum nozzles (fine and wide), a vacuum bag and a 3-in-1 inflation nozzle.

What safety precautions should be observed?

What to do in case of jamming or obstruction?

• WARNING: Never allow children, people with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience and knowledge and/or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the tool.

• The leaf blower is a tool designed to clean outdoor surfaces, such as gardens and patios, using a powerful air flow to blow leaves and light debris. It is not intended for blowing heavy or wet materials, nor for indoor use.
• Do not overreach and maintain your balance at all times. Always be sure of your footing on slopes. Walk, never run.

• WARNING: Do not touch dangerous moving parts before switching off the tool or until they have come to a complete stop.

• Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers while operating the machine.

• Switch off the tool and ensure that it is disconnected from the power supply in the following circumstances:

o Whenever you stop using the tool.
o Before clearing an obstruction.
o Before checking, cleaning or working on the tool.
o Before checking the tool for damage.
o If the tool starts to vibrate abnormally, stop using it and check immediately for damage.

• Do not connect a damaged cord to the power supply or touch a damaged cord before it has been disconnected from the power supply, as damaged cords can lead to contact with energised parts.
• Keep extension cords away from moving hazardous parts to avoid damage and contact with energised parts.
• Connect the tool only to a power supply circuit protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30 mA.
• Recommendation: Avoid using the tool in adverse weather conditions, especially when there is a risk of lightning.
• The tool can be used by people with physical, sensory or mental limitations or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe operation of the tool and understand the hazards involved.
• Never allow children to use the tool. Keep the tool and its charger out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to play with the tool.

1) Training

a) Read the instructions carefully. Familiarise yourself with the proper use and operation of the machine.
b) Never allow people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the tool. Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.
c) The operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards that may occur to other people or their property.

2) Preparation

a) Wear ear protection and safety goggles. Wear them at all times while using the tool.
b) Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers while operating the machine. Do not operate the tool barefoot or wearing open sandals. Avoid wearing loose-fitting clothing or clothing with dangling laces or ties.
c) Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that can be sucked in through the air inlet. Keep long hair away from the air inlet.
d) Use the tool in the recommended position and only on a firm and level surface.
e) Do not operate the tool on a paved or gravel surface, as ejected material could cause injury.
f) Before use, check the power cord and extension cord for signs of damage or wear. If the cord is damaged

during use, disconnect it from the power supply immediately. DO NOT TOUCH THE CORD BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE POWER. Do not use the machine if the cord is damaged or worn.

g) Never operate the tool while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.

3) Operation

a) Keep your feet firmly on the ground and maintain proper balance at all times. Do not lean forward. Never stand at a higher level than the base of the tool when using it.
b) Stay away from the material to be blown when using the tool.
c) Keep the battery compartment and connections free of dust and debris to ensure efficient operation and prevent overheating that could damage the battery.
d) Do not transport the tool while it is connected to a power socket.
e) Stop the tool and remove the battery. Make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop before putting down the tool, clearing obstructions, unclogging the duct, or checking, cleaning, or performing any maintenance.
f) Do not tilt the tool while it is connected to a power socket.

4) Maintenance and storage

a) When stopping the tool for maintenance, inspection or storage, or to change an accessory, disconnect it from the power source, remove the battery and ensure all moving parts have come to a complete stop. Allow the

tool to cool down before carrying out any inspections, adjustments, etc. Take care of the tool and keep it clean.

b) Store the tool in a dry place, out of the reach of children.
c) Always allow the tool to cool down before storing.
d) Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only original spare parts and accessories.
e) Never attempt to disable or modify the safety function of the guard. This function is designed to protect the user and ensure safe use of the leaf blower.

The tool must be powered through a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30 mA.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if technical assistance is required.

3. OPERATION

This unit is primarily designed for cleaning tasks.

Blowing mode

To use the blower in blowing mode:

1. Connect the nozzle to the air outlet (the opening where air is expelled).
2. Turn the nozzle clockwise to secure it firmly.

Vacuum mode

To use the blower in vacuum mode:

1. Connect the nozzle to the suction port.
2. Attach the dust bag to the air outlet. Fig. 3

Emptying the dust bag

• When the dust bag is full, remove it from the unit.
• Open the bag aperture.
• Empty dust and debris into a waste bin.

Operation

• To switch on the unit, press the ON/OFF trigger.
• Releasing the ON/OFF trigger will stop the unit.

• For continuous operation without holding the trigger:

• Switch on the unit by pressing the ON/OFF trigger.

• Press the locking button.
• The unit will continue running.
• To stop, press the ON/OFF trigger again.

3. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem	Possible cause	Possible solution
The unit fails to start.	It is not connected to the mains.	Ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a working power socket.
	The socket has no power.	Test the socket with another appliance or check the circuit breaker/fuse.
	ON/OFF trigger has not been pressed.	Press the ON/OFF trigger firmly.
	The carbon brushes are severely worn.	Check the carbon brushes and replace if less than 6 mm (see the Maintenance section).
The unit stops unexpectedly.	The ON/OFF trigger has been released (if the locking button was not engaged).	Press the ON/OFF trigger again or use the locking button for continuous operation.
	Obstruction causing overload or overheating.	Unplug the unit, clear any obstructions and allow it to cool down before using it again.
	The carbon brushes are severely worn.	Check and replace the carbon brushes.
Poor blowing performance.	The nozzle or air outlet is blocked.	Disconnect the unit and clear any obstructions from the nozzle or air outlet.
Poor suction performance.	The nozzle, suction port or tube is blocked.	Disconnect the unit and clear any obstructions from the nozzle, suction port or tube.
	The dust bag is full.	Empty the dust bag.
	The dust bag is not correctly fitted.	Ensure the dust bag is properly attached to the air outlet.
Unusual noise or vibration.	Fan obstruction.	Disconnect the unit and clear any visible obstructions from the ports or nozzle.
Sparking are coming out from the motor area.	The carbon brushes are severely worn.	Stop using the unit immediately. Check and replace the carbon brushes (see the Cleaning and maintenance section).

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Maintenance

Before performing any maintenance on the blower, it is essential to disconnect it from the mains power to prevent accidents.

Checking carbon brushes

• Inspect the carbon brushes regularly.
• Replace with new ones if they measure less than 6 mm (approximately 1/4 inch). Fig. 5.

• To replace them:

• Remove the brush caps and worn brushes using a screwdriver. Fig. 6.

• Insert new brushes.
• Replace the brush caps and tighten by turning.
