• The leaf blower is a tool designed to clean outdoor surfaces, such as gardens and patios, using a powerful air flow to blow leaves and light debris. It is not intended for blowing heavy or wet materials, nor for indoor use.
• Do not overreach and maintain your balance at all times. Always be sure of your footing on slopes. Walk, never run.
• WARNING: Do not touch dangerous moving parts before switching off the tool or until they have come to a complete stop.
• Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers while operating the tool.

• Switch off the tool and ensure that it is disconnected from the power supply in the following circumstances:

• Whenever you stop using the tool.

• Before clearing/unblocking an obstruction.
• Before checking, cleaning or working on the tool.
• Before checking the tool for damage.

• If the tool starts to vibrate abnormally, stop using it and check immediately for damage.

• WARNING: Never operate the tool with defective guards or covers, without safety devices, or if the power cable is damaged or worn.

• Do not connect a damaged cable to the power supply or touch a damaged cable before it is disconnected from the power supply, as damaged cords can lead to contact with energised parts at low voltage.
• Keep extension cables away from moving hazardous parts to avoid damage and contact with energised parts.

• Connect the tool only to a power supply circuit protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30 mA.

• Avoid using the tool in adverse weather conditions, especially when there is a risk of lightning.

• Do not use the tool on paved, gravel or other loose material surfaces, as the air flow may lift and project objects, causing injury or property damage.
• Always wear a suitable filter mask in conditions where there is a lot of dust or airborne particles. This will reduce the risk of respiratory problems and protect your health while using the leaf blower.
• Never point the blower nozzle at people, pets or fragile surfaces. The air flow may project particles or objects, causing injury or damage.
• Disconnect the machine before attaching or removing the collection bag.
• WARNING! Under normal use, the collection bag may wear over time. A worn collection bag can leak small objects which may strike and injure the operator or bystanders. Check the collection bag regularly and replace it if damaged.

Training

a) Read these instructions carefully. Familiarise yourself with the proper use and operation of the machine.
b) Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the tool. Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.
c) Please note that the operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards that may occur to other people or their property.

Preparation

a) Wear ear protection and safety goggles. Always wear them while operating the machine.

b) Always wear suitable footwear and long trousers when using the appliance. Do not use the appliance if you are barefoot or if you are wearing sandals. Avoid wearing loose-fitting clothes or clothes with laces or ties that hang down.
c) Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that could get into the air intake. Keep long hair away from air intakes.
d) Use the appliance in the recommended position and only on a firm and level surface.
e) Do not operate the appliance on a paved or gravel surface, as ejected material could cause injury.
f) Before using the appliance, always visually check that the bolts and other fixing elements are securely fastened, that the housing is not damaged, and that guards and grids are in place. Replace worn or damaged components in sets to preserve balance of the appliance. Replace damaged or illegible labels.
g) Before using the appliance, check that the power cable and extension lead are not damaged, broken or worn out. If the cable is damaged during use, disconnect it immediately from the power supply. DO NOT TOUCH THE CABLE BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE POWER. Do not use the appliance if the cable is damaged or worn.
h) Never use the appliance in there are people, especially children, or domestic animals nearby.

Operation

a) Before starting the appliance, make sure that there is no foreign object inside the machine.
b) Keep face and body away from the power inlet opening.
c) Do not insert your hands or any other part of your body or clothing inside the appliance.
d) Keep your feet firmly on the ground and always maintain

your balance. Do not lean forward. Never stand higher than the base of the appliance.

e) Always keep away from the material to be blown when using this appliance.
f) When blowing materials, be very careful not to blow pieces of metal, stones, bottles, cans or other foreign objects.
g) If the cutting mechanism hits any foreign object or if the tool starts to make any unusual noise or vibration, switch off the power supply immediately and allow the machine to stop. Disconnect the machine from the power supply and follow the steps below before restarting and operating the machine:

I. inspect for damage;
II. replace or repair damaged parts;
III. check for loose parts and tighten them.

h) Do not allow processed material to accumulate in the discharge area: this may prevent proper discharge and may cause material to kickback through the inlet opening.

i) If the appliance jams, turn off the power supply and disconnect the machine from the power supply before clearing debris.

j) Never operate the tool with defective guards or covers, or without safety devices. such as the collection bag, in place.

k) Keep the power supply clean of debris and other accumulations to prevent damage to the power supply or possible fire.

l) Do not transport this appliance if connected to the power supply.

m) Stop the appliance and unplug it from the socket. Ensure that all moving parts have come to a complete stop

• whenever you stop using the appliance;
• before unblocking or unclogging the tube;

- before checking, cleaning or working on the tool. n) Do not tilt this appliance when connected to the power supply.

Maintenance and storage

a) When stopping the machine for maintenance, inspection or storage, or to change an accessory, switch off the appliance, disconnect it from the power supply and ensure that all moving parts have come to a complete stop. Allow the appliance to cool down before carrying out any inspections, adjustments, etc. Take care of the appliance and keep it clean.
b) Store the appliance in a dry place, out of the reach of children and pets.
c) Always allow the appliance to cool down before storing it.
d) When carrying out maintenance on the tool, please note that even if the power supply is switched off due to the interlocking function of the protection, the machine can still be operated.
e) Replace worn or damaged parts for safety reasons. Only use original spare parts and accessories.
f) Never attempt to override the protection lock.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

3. PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

Fitting the blower and vacuum tubes

1. Insert the upper vacuum tube (2) into the large opening of the motor housing (1) until it clicks into place.
2. Insert the lower vacuum tube (3) into the end of the upper vacuum tube until it clicks into place.
3. Insert the upper blower tube (4) into the small opening of the motor housing until it clicks into place.
4. Insert the lower blower tube (5) into the end of the upper blower tube until it clicks into place.
5. Using a Phillips PH1 screwdriver (not included), insert the screws (6) in the positions shown in figure 3. Turn them clockwise to tighten. Then screw an additional screw into the opposite side of the motor housing.
6. The vacuum/blower tubes are now installed.

Attaching the collection bag

1. Insert the collection bag connector (7) into the lower opening of the motor housing (1) until it clicks into place.
2. Attach the collection bag's carabiner (7) to the corresponding hole in the lower blower tube (5).
3. The collection bag is now installed.

Fitting the auxiliary handle

1. Place the auxiliary handle (10) onto the corresponding bracket (13), ensuring the protruding part faces downwards. Make sure the teeth of the handle and bracket interlock.
2. Insert the auxiliary handle screw (9) through the bracket hole and into the handle.
3. Thread the nut (8) onto the screw and tighten clockwise.

Adjusting the auxiliary handle

Adjust the auxiliary handle (10) to the desired working position. Always ensure the teeth of the auxiliary handle and bracket (13) interlock.

1. Loosen the star nut (8).
2. Adjust the auxiliary handle to the desired working position.
3. Re-tighten the star nut.

Attaching the shoulder strap

Hook the shoulder strap (11) onto the corresponding attachment point (14).

Warning: Risk of injury. If the appliance or accessories are damaged, they may cause injury. Check the appliance and its accessories.

4. OPERATION

Operating mode setting

This leaf blower/garden vacuum cleaner has two operating modes:

Blower mode: use this mode to blow away debris.

Vacuum mode: use this mode to vacuum debris.

Follow these steps to activate them:

• Set the lever (15) to the vacuum mode to activate it. Fig. 7
• Set the lever (15) to the blower mode to activate it. Fig. 8

Speed setting

Adjust the appliance speed by turning the variable speed control (16). Fig. 9

a. Turn the variable speed control to the left (-) to reduce the speed.
b. Turn the variable speed control to the right (+) to increase the speed.

Switching the appliance on/off

1. Slide the power switch (17) in the direction of the arrow in the figure (position I) to switch on the appliance.
2. Slide the power switch in the opposite direction of the arrow (position 0) to switch off the appliance.

Removing the collection bag

1. Release the collection bag's carabiner from the hole in the lower blower tube (5).
2. Press both sides of the connector piece (18) and remove the bag (7) from the motor housing (1).

Emptying the collection bag

Note: The collection bag may wear over time and with use. If worn, small objects may escape and cause injury.

Check the collection bag regularly and replace it if damaged. To do this, follow these instructions:

1. Open the collection bag lock (7).

2. Empty the bag contents.

3. Turn the bag upside down and shake it.

Using the shoulder strap

Always wear the shoulder strap (11) when using the appliance to prevent fatigue. It has a quick-release buckle so that it can be removed quickly in case of an accident.

Preparing the extension cable

• Operation requires an outdoor extension cable (max. 30 m, 1.5 mm ² cable cross-section, not included).
• Fully extend the cable for use during operation.

Note: Ensure no trip hazards and protect the cable from falling objects.

Connecting the power cable

1. Make sure that the power switch (17) is in the off position (0).
2. Thread cable through the cable holder opening (19).
3. Loop the cable through the holder.
4. Tension the cable slowly. Without tension, the cable may loosen during operation.
5. Connect the appliance power plug to the extension cable socket.
6. Plug the extension cable into a properly installed mains socket.

Correct working position

1. Position the strap (11) over your shoulder, crossing the chest and back. Adjust the strap length so the lower vacuum tube (3) can reach the ground.
2. Hold the motor housing handle (1) with one hand and the auxiliary handle (10) with the other.
3. Vacuuming/blowing leaves.
4. Make sure that the appliance is fully assembled and connected.
5. Set the operating mode.
6. Speed setting. You can adjust the speed during operation.
7. Switch on the appliance.
   7a. For vacuuming: Hold the appliance in front of you and push it over the ground.
   7b. For blowing: Walk slowly, swinging the blower tube left and right in controlled movements, about 10 cm from the ground.
8. Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning: Risk of electric shock. Improper handling of the appliance may result in electric shock.

- Always switch off and unplug the appliance from the mains socket before cleaning. Note: Risk of short circuit. Water or other liquids entering the housing may cause a short circuit.

- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.

- Make sure no water or other liquids enter the housing.

Note: Risk of damage. Improper handling may damage the appliance.

• Do not use harsh cleaning agents, metal or nylon bristled brushes, or sharp or metallic cleaning materials such as knives, hard scrapers or similar items. These may damage the surfaces.
• Clean the appliance immediately after each use; otherwise, mud with leaf debris will harden and may not be removable without disassembling the motor housing.
• Clean the motor housing, tubes and ventilation slots regularly with a soft brush or cloth.
• Hand wash the collection bag once a year with soapy water and let it air dry.

Risk of damage! Improper storage of the appliance may cause damage.

• Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
• Position the appliance where water cannot reach it.
• Store the appliance in a clean, dry and frost-free location out of the reach of children.
• Always store appliance parts and accessories together with the appliance.
• If possible, store the appliance in its original packaging.
• Transport the appliance and its accessories in the original packaging and protect them from impacts and vibrations.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem	Possible cause	Possible solution
The leaf blower does not switch on.	The power cable is not properly connected.	Check the power cable connection.
	The power switch is in the off position.	Make sure the power switch is in the on position.
The appliance shows reduced vacuuming power.	The collection bag (7) is full or obstructed.	Empty the collection bag or clear possible blockages.
	The vacuum tube (2, 3) is blocked with debris.	Check the vacuum tube and remove any obstructions.
Irregular operation.	The accessory (10) is not properly installed.	Make sure all accessories are properly installed and secured.
Excessive noise.	Debris caught in the rotor or impeller (internal part of the motor).	Switch off the appliance, unplug it and clean the affected area.
The leaf blower overheats.	Extended use without breaks.	Switch off the appliance and allow it to cool down before resuming use.
	The motor ventilation slots (1) are blocked with dirt or debris.	Clean the motor ventilation slots to ensure proper air flow.
The vacuum tube shakes excessively.	The screws or fixing parts (6, 9) are loose.	Tighten all screws and check that the fixing parts are secure.
The appliance does not switch between the blower/vacuum modes.	The mode switch is stuck or damaged.	Lubricate the switch mechanism or check the instruction manual for repairs.
