How to clean the dryer filter?

Open the filter hatch, remove the filter and remove lint by hand. Rinse it under warm water if necessary. Clean the filter after each cycle to ensure optimal performance.

Why is my laundry still damp after a cycle?

Check that the selected program matches the type of laundry and that the load is not excessive. Make sure the filter is clean and that the water tank is not full. A more intense drying program may be necessary.

What does error code E1 on the screen mean?

Code E1 indicates a drainage problem. Check that the drain hose is not kinked or blocked, and that the water tank is properly emptied. Restart the appliance after resolving the issue.

How to use the delayed start function?

Select the desired program, then press the 'Delayed start' or 'Timer' button. Choose the desired end time (e.g., in 3 hours). Press 'Start' to confirm.

What is the maximum drying capacity?

The maximum capacity is 9 kg for cotton programs. For other programs, the recommended load is lower (e.g., 4 kg for synthetics). Do not overload the drum.

How to empty the condensation water tank?

Pull out the water tank drawer located at the bottom left of the appliance. Empty it into a sink or basin. Replace it correctly before restarting a cycle.

Can I dry wool garments?

Yes, use the specific Wool program. Place the garments in the drum without squeezing them and do not exceed the recommended load (about 2 kg). This program uses gentle heat to protect the fibers.

How to reduce appliance noise?

Make sure the appliance is leveled (adjustable feet). Avoid operating the dryer with an unbalanced load. Check that the filter is not clogged, as this can increase vibrations.

How often should the condenser be cleaned?

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure to recycle all elements correctly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. INSTALLATION

• Before installation, check that the tumble dryer has not been visibly damaged during transportation. Do not operate the dryer if it is damaged. If any malfunction is detected, please contact Cecotec.
• During transport, the maximum angle of inclination of the tumble dryer must not exceed 45 degrees. In case it tips over, place it in an upright position for 2 hours before putting it into operation.
• The dryer must be installed in a dry and ventilated place. Avoid installing it in areas with high humidity, where it can get wet or be affected by steam build-up, such as the bathroom or an uncovered balcony. Avoid installing the tumble dryer in a place where it may be exposed to direct sunlight or the weather.
• Make sure not to install the dryer next to other heat-generating appliances such as cookers, gas appliances, etc. to avoid accidents.
• It is recommended to install the tumble dryer next to or near the washing machine to facilitate drying of the laundry after washing.
• Avoid installing the tumble dryer in a place where dust tends to accumulate, as excess dirt may block the ventilation grilles of the appliance.
• Remove all packaging from the tumble dryer and then place it on a flat, stable surface. Do not place it on carpets, rugs, supports, etc.
• During installation, adjust the feet of the tumble dryer until it is firm. Do not place objects that may reduce the space between the tumble dryer and the floor, such as carpets or wood, as this may affect the proper functioning of the appliance.
• Leave a minimum space of 5 cm between the dryer and the wall or other furniture.

Adjusting the feet

Adjust the angle of the base and feet to ensure that the tumble dryer is always level and stable.

Mains connection

Before connecting the appliance, check the following:

• The mains voltage complies with the required parameters.
• The plug of the tumble dryer is compatible with the socket.
• The socket can withstand the maximum power of the tumble dryer. The socket must be securely earthed.

Drain hose connection

If the installation location of the tumble dryer allows the accumulated waste water to be discharged directly through the drain, the tank can be emptied by connecting the drain hose to the water outlet. In this way, it will not be necessary to empty the condensation water tank manually or to remove the outlet pipe from the tank.

- Remove and pull out the hose and connector located at the rear of the tumble dryer.

- Connect one end of the drain hose to the tumble dryer, attach the connector and fit the other end to the water inlet or sink (Figure 2).

Warning:

• Make sure that the hose seal is securely fitted to prevent it from disconnecting.
• Once the connection has been made, the distance between the water outlet and the floor must not exceed 1 metre. If the hose is too long, you can cut it.
• When disconnecting the hose from the tumble dryer, be sure to do so by pulling on the connector. If it is necessary to restore the original drainage system, reinsert the connector back into place.

4. PREPARATION BEFORE DRYING

Previous checks

• Empty the condensation water tank and reinstall it in its place.
• Clean the lint filter and reinstall it in place.
• Check if the laundry requires a special drying programme.
• Remove all objects such as coins, sand, keys, etc. from pockets.
• Tie belts, ties, cords, etc. on clothes to prevent them from getting tangled or caught in the tumble dryer drum and tearing the clothes. Fasten the buttons. Close the zips, buckles and fasteners and fasten the buttons on the covers. Remove fasteners and metal parts from garments.
• Do not overfill the dryer. Unfold and separate rolled garments before putting them in the tumble dryer.
• Make sure that the ventilation grille is not obstructed or blocked.

Practical tips on drying clothes

• To prevent the buttons on the clothes from rattling when they hit the drum, turn the clothes inside out or place them inside out in the tumble dryer.
• In the case of delicate garments, it is recommended to use a laundry bag or mesh to protect the fabric during drying.
• Spin the laundry well in the washing machine before putting it in the tumble dryer. A higher drying speed shortens the drying cycle time and reduces energy consumption.
• Follow the drying instructions on the garment labels. Insert only items that have the symbol indicating that they can be dried in the dryer.
• To speed up the drying process, shake the laundry before putting it in the dryer.

ENGLISH

• For uniform drying, sort the laundry according to the type of fabric and select a suitable drying programme according to the type of laundry inserted. To avoid damage to garments, follow the drying instructions on the garment labels to find out which programmes are suitable for which fabrics.
• Do not tumble dry fabrics that have undergone a sizing process. The sizing treatment which helps to stiffen the fabric will reduce the drying result.
• In the heat of the tumble dryer, the garments may appear wetter than at room temperature. It is recommended not to over-dry clothes.
• Woven products such as T-shirts or knitted garments may normally shrink during the first drying. Select a programme that protects them.
• Do not overdry synthetics. This will cause creases.

Warning:

• This dryer is intended for domestic use only. Use the dryer according to the recommended drying programmes and maximum load capacity.
• Do not tumble dry garments made of fine fabrics such as silk, embroidery or synthetic materials, as they are easily damaged and creased.

IMPORTANT: It is not recommended to load the dryer with more laundry than shown in the illustration. If the dryer is overloaded, its drying function will be reduced and both the dryer and the laundry may be damaged.

Power icon: use this icon to switch on/off the appliance.

Start/pause icon: use this icon to start the selected drying programme. While the dryer is in operation, press this icon to pause the programme.

Display: it shows the status of the dryer's operating programme.

Drying level: use this icon to adjust the drying level of the laundry. The drying level can only be set or changed before starting the drying programme. There are three drying levels. Press this icon repeatedly to select the drying level:

• SUPER DRY : ready to wear. This function dries the laundry so that you can wear it immediately after drying.
• STANDARD : ready to store. This function dries the laundry so that it can be stored in the wardrobe after drying.
• LIGHT DRY : ready to iron. This function leaves the laundry slightly damp after drying to prevent creasing.

ENGLISH

Type of fabric/treatment: use this icon to select the type of programme according to the type of fabric or treatment. You can select from the following (each press selects one): Wool, Down, Refresh, Delicate, Bedding and BabyCare.

Programme selection: use this icon to select the type of drying programme according to the garment. You can select from the following (each press selects one): Mix, ECO, Synthetics, Sports, Jeans, Shirts, Quick Dry, Towel and Underwear.

Delay Start: this function allows you to delay the start time of the programme. Once the drying programme is selected, press the Delay Start icon ⏻, the preset time after which the programme will end will be shown on the display. When this time ends, the selected programme will start automatically and then the remaining drying time will be shown on the display.

Silence function: cancels the beeping. Press this icon 📂 × to activate or deactivate the beep emitted by the tumble dryer.

Drying time: use this icon Ⓛ to set the duration of the drying programmes. Each press corresponds to a 10-minute increment.

Ani-crease: if you select this function, the dryer will automatically run intermittently for 120 minutes to prevent the laundry from creasing because it was not taken out in time after the end of the drying programme. This icon 🐘 allows you to activate and deactivate this function.

KidLock: this function allows you to lock the tumble dryer control panel to prevent children from interrupting the drying cycle or tampering with the appliance accidentally. The order in which the icons are pressed to activate or deactivate the child lock is as follows:

1. Press the Power icon ( ^1 ) to switch on the appliance.
2. Select a drying programme = .
3. Press the Start/pause icon ▷ ◇ to start the drying cycle.
4. Press and hold the icon of the Programme selection icon — and the Anti-crease function icon 🐘 at the same time for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the child lock.

Warning:

When the child lock is activated, all icons on the control panel are disabled (except the power icon). To be able to reselect a programme or function, first deactivate the child lock.

• ECO programme according to Regulation 2534/2023/EU for energy labelling, measured in accordance with EN 61121 and suitable for drying normal cotton laundry at rated load capacity.
• The ECO programme is suitable for drying normal wet cotton laundry and it is the most efficient programme in terms of energy consumption for cotton.

Warning:

- The above programmes are only recommendations for use, users can select the drying programmes that best suit their needs.

- Before putting the laundry in the dryer, check if the laundry is suitable for tumble drying as indicated on the laundry label.

- If you need to dry small loads of laundry, it is recommended to select a timed programme which allows you to adjust the drying time. If the laundry is not completely dry, you can select a timed programme to continue drying the laundry. Please note that when selecting a timed programme, the humidity sensors will not detect the remaining humidity of the load automatically. If the laundry is still wet after the end of the

programme, you can repeat the programme or adjust the drying time until the laundry is completely dry.

• When drying large fabrics, such as sheets and curtains, it is possible that they may pile up during the drying process. Interrupt the programme, shake the laundry and put it back into the dryer to finish drying. Some thicker and heavier garments (jeans, large towels, etc.) are more difficult to dry due to the characteristics of the fabric.
• Before putting down-filled jackets or coats in the tumble dryer, be sure to turn them inside out.

- It is more difficult to dry thick or multi-layered fabrics, such as jackets, etc.
- As it is difficult to dry uneven, thick and multi-layered fabrics, it is better to choose the right drying time to dry them if certain parts of the garments are always damp at the end of the programme.
- The actual drying time may differ from the values indicated in the table, depending on the laundry load, type of fabric, residual moisture and selected additional functions.
- Loading the tumble dryer to the maximum capacity indicated for the respective programmes will help to save energy.
- All data are measured in accordance with EN 61121.

Starting the drying cycle

1. Press the power icon to switch on the appliance.
2. Select a drying programme.
3. Select a function.
4. Press the Start/Pause icon to start the drying cycle.

End of programme

When the drying programme is finished, the dryer will beep, and "END" will appear on the display.

1. Open the door and take the laundry out.
2. Remove the condensation water tank.
3. Drain the waste water from the condensation water tank.
4. Clean the lint filter inside the drum.
5. Unplug the appliance from the mains.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Lint filter cleaning

To ensure ventilation during the drying process, the lint filter must be cleaned before and after each cycle.

1. Open the door and remove the filter from the inside of the drum.
2. Open the filter housing.
3. Wipe off the lint with a damp cloth.
4. Replace the lint filter.

Warning:

• Before using the dryer again, make sure that the lint filter is in its original position.
• Make sure the filter is completely dry before replacing it.

Cleaning the dryer surface

Wipe the surface of the dryer with a soft, clean cloth. Do not spray water directly onto the dryer, or use solvents, detergents, paraffin, volatile oils, alcohol, etc. Particularly dirty parts can be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water.

Drum cleaning

When operating over a long period of time, the inside of the drum may be covered with scale deposits that are not visible at first glance. This limescale formation is due to the hardness of the water and detergent residues. The inside wall of the drum should be cleaned regularly with a damp cloth.

Emptying the condensation water tank

While the dryer is in operation, steam condenses, and water accumulates in the tank.

1. Remove the condensation water tank. Once the tank has been removed, be sure to keep it in a horizontal position to prevent water spillage.

1. Empty the condensed water and put the tank back in place.

Warning:

Condensed water should not be drunk or used for food preparation. After each drying cycle, it is recommended to empty the condensation water tank.

Cleaning the condenser bottom filter

For best drying results, clean the heat exchanger bottom filter regularly. Be sure to unplug the dryer before cleaning.

1. Open the protective cover to gain access to the bottom filter of the heat exchanger.
2. Turn the three latches to unlock and remove the cover.
3. Remove the bottom filter from the condenser.
4. Clean accumulated lint from the condenser filter.
5. Put the filter back in place.

Warning:

Do not use sharp objects to clean the surface of the condenser bottom filter, as this may damage it.
