1. After batteries have been inserted in the main unit, the synchronization is launched
automatically and runs for approximately 3 minutes.
2. Within these 3 minutes, the main unit (receiver) picks up the temperature & humidity
signals from the remote sensor and displays the readings.
3. If the main unit does not display the readings after 3 minutes, in normal mode
(display of all the readings), press and hold the key for 2 or 3 seconds to synchronize manually the remote sensor and the main unit. Note: it may take up to 1 minute before the main unit displays the readings. Radio Control Clock (RCC) After the main unit and the remote sensor have been synchronized, the SM2000 will automatically activate the RCC function. Your weather station is designed to automatically synchronize its calendar clock once it is brought within the reception range of a radio signal. There are 2 different radio signals: - DCF77 signal, for GMT +1 (France, Spain, Italy, Germany); - MSF signal, for GMT (UK, Ireland, Portugal). The DCF77 signal will be received if the main unit is within 1500 km of the Frankfurt atomic clock. Your main unit will be automatically synchronised with the MSF signal if located within the UK radio signal range.
1. If the clock is within the range of both the DCF77 and MSF radio signals, you can
toggle between the 2 signals by sliding the RCC selector (located inside the main unit’s battery compartment) on the “DCF” or the “MSF” position. You can also turn off the RCC function by sliding the selector on the “OFF” position.
2. The clock automatically starts scanning the RF 433MHz signal for a few minutes after
new batteries are inserted in the main unit. When receiving radio signal, the RCC icon starts to blink. A complete reception generally takes about 10 minutes, depending on the strength of the radio signal. During the reception of the RCC signal, the main unit will no longer update the data received from the outdoor remote sensor.
3. When the reception is complete, the RCC icon
will stop blinking and remain solid.
4. You can also start the scan manually (refer to the “Clock and date settings” section,
- For an optimal reception, place the weather station away from metal objects and electrical appliances (i.e. television, computer, monitor, etc.) to minimize interference.
- The clock automatically scans the time signal everyday between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. hourly to maintain accurate timing.
- Most of the buttons will not function during the scan.
- If after 10 minutes the reception fails or the unit is out of auto-clock range, the scan stops and the RCC icon will disappear from the LCD screen.
WARNING: If the unit malfunctions or receives an electrostatic shock, press the
RESET button located inside the main unit’s battery compartment. If this proves to be ineffective, remove the batteries and insert them again.
SETTING THE HUMIDIFIER
The humidifier provided with your weather station includes two function modes: the manual mode and the automatic mode.
- In manual mode, press the “Humidifier On/Off” key to switch on or switch off the humidifier. If the “Led On/Off” button is on the “On” position, the humidifier LED is switched on while the humidifier is operating. When the unit is turned on, it will operate until you press the “Humidifier On/Off” key again, or until the water tank is empty.
- In automatic mode, the humidifier starts automatically for 20 minutes if the indoor humidity level sinks below 35%. If the “Led On/Off” button is on the “On” position, the humidifier LED is switched on while the humidifier is operating. If you press the “Humidifier On/Off” key when the unit is off and the automatic mode has been selected, the humidifier will start for 20 minutes. Press the “Humidifier On/Off” key again at any time to switch the device off. Note: In automatic mode, once the humidifier has stopped, it will wait for 10 minutes before checking the humidity level again and will restart if the reading is too low.
Warning:
- If the humidifier and main unit are separated, the humidifier only operates in manual mode.
- When the integrated no-water sensor detects that the water tank is empty, the humidifier cannot be activated manually and will not start automatically. If the LED has been switched on, it will flash until the tank has been refilled. Refill the water tank regularly. Humidifier function mode setting (manual/automatic)

WEATHER FORECAST AND DISPLAY
Animated Weather Forecast Symbols This weather station is capable of detecting barometric pressure changes, and based on the data collected, predicting the weather for the next 8 to 24 hours. There are 5 different weather forecast symbols.
Note: Absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed regarding weather forecasting. The weather forecasting feature is estimated to have an accuracy level of about 75% due to the varying areas the Weather Station has been designed to be used in.
TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY TREND
The trend indicators show the recent trend of the outdoor temperature & humidity. Indicates that the outdoor temperature or humidity trend is increasing.
2.0 °C.
or 56% Indicates that the outdoor temperature or humidity trend is steady. Indicates that the outdoor temperature or humidity trend is decreasing.
ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE DISPLAY
Barometric Pressure Meter Your weather station displays the existing atmospheric pressure in hectopascal (hPa) and inHg (inches of mercury). It is commonly acknowledged that a value of 1015 hPa is the limit between an anticyclone (good weather > 1015 hPa) and a low-pressure area (bad weather < 1015 hPa). Barometric pressure historical graph The bar graph lets you see the pressure trend over the past 24 hours. The weather forecast, by the means of the animated icons, depends on the evolution of the barometric pressure. By consulting the barometric pressure historical graph you can evaluate the likeliness or the strength of the weather forecast currently displayed. The left column displays the change in inches of mercury and the right column in hectoPascal. The bottom row indicates the time (hr = hour). MOON PHASES Throughout the 28 days of the lunar month, the aspect of the moon changes. Indeed, the moon, being spherical, is always half lightened up by the sun. As the moon rotates around the Earth, the appearance of its lightened side changes continuously. This phenomenon creates moon phases. The moon phase on your MeteoClock® is automatically updated according to the year / month / day. Moon phases
