What to do if the battery icon is flashing?

The flashing indicates that the batteries are low and must be replaced within 4 weeks. Replace both 1.5 V batteries (type AA) to avoid overheating of the room in frost protection mode.

How to activate holiday mode?

Select holiday mode via the operating mode button. Set the desired temperature and the duration of your absence. The device will maintain this temperature until your return.

Can I use this thermostat with a boiler of another brand?

Yes, the EXACONTROL 1 is compatible with all heating appliances operating on 230 V, subject to correct wiring by a professional.

How to perform a temporary temperature change without changing the program?

Use the temporary override function: press the corresponding button, adjust the desired temperature with the arrows, and it will be maintained until the next program change.

What does the 'heating demand' symbol on the screen mean?

This symbol is displayed when the boiler receives a heating demand from the thermostat, indicating that the heating is running to reach the setpoint temperature.

How to set the time on the EXACONTROL 1?

Press the Set hours button (or P then select clock). Use the + and - buttons to adjust the hour and minutes, then confirm with OK.

The device displays 'E' or an error code, what to do?

Error codes are not detailed in this manual. Consult a qualified professional to diagnose the issue. Also check battery status and mains power supply.

How to connect a remote telephone switch?

The connection is made on the TEL terminals of the controller (see wiring diagram). This operation must be carried out by a qualified installer, respecting safety instructions.

There is a danger of overheating the room. If the batteries are running down the boiler operates with maximum advanced flow temperature (frost override).

exacontrol 1 is a programmable roomthermostat. They can be connected with all Saunier Duval boilers and outside boilers with 230 ~V thermostat input.

Installation

This system MUST be fitted by a qualified and approved installation engineer, proceeding as shown on pages 78 to 81. The relevant safety guidelines should be followed at all times.

There is a danger of fatal injury from touching live components. Always shut off the power supply to the system (and ensure it cannot be reconnected) BEFORE carrying out installation or maintenance work.

Note that we will accept no liability whatsoever for injury or damage resulting from failure to observe these instructions. This condition applies especially to incorrect wiring and/or defective mechanical installation.
