If your GCDP 7835 pump is making operational noise but not pumping water, several elements need to be checked in this order:

1. Check the inlet filter

The most common cause of a pump that runs but does not pump is a clogged inlet filter. Before any handling:

Turn off the device
Clean the inlet filter with a water jet (the manual specifies: no internal parts require maintenance, but the filter must remain clean)

2. Check the water line

The manual specifies that the device must never be freely suspended from the pressure line. Ensure that the flexible connection is not crushed or blocked. Also, check that the diameter of the hose is appropriate - an ill-fitting line reduces flow.

3. Check the float positioning

The GCDP 7835 pump has an adjustable float switch:

Activation ON at about 50 cm of water
Deactivation at about 5 cm
A poorly positioned float can prevent the pump from effectively forcing the pumping

4. Check for dry running

If the pump does not have enough water at startup or if it operates without proper suction, this can cause noise without discharge. Ensure that the pump draws from a well or tank of at least 50 x 50 x 50 cm with an adequate water level.

5. Check the water temperature

This pump is limited to a maximum temperature of 35°C. Water that is too hot can affect operation.
