Before leaving our factory every machine passes an exacting inspection programme in which everything is chec- ked minutely. Following the instructions will ensure that your machine gives long service, in normal operating conditions. The user advice and spare parts mentioned in this document are given as an indication, and do not constitute an undertaking. No warrantee will be granted in the event of errors or omissions, or for damage occurring during delivery, or caused by the design or use of the machine. We are very concerned about the quality of our pro- ducts and we reserve the right to make any technical modifications to improve them, without warning. This document will: + provide the user with: information about the machine + information about its possible uses + prevent accidents due to unsuitable use, by an untrained person, during maintenance, repairs, ove- rhauls, handling or transport + improve the reliability and durability of the machine + ensure correct use, regular maintenance, and fast fault finding in order to reduce repair costs and down- time. The manual should always be available at the place of work. It should be read and used by any person installing or using the machine. The obligatory technical regulations in force in the country where the machine is used must also be adhered to for maximum safety. English

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ]

The use of symbols on machines (in color) and in the manual identify advice concerning your safety. OBLIGATION # Blue background, white marking : obligatory safety +red marking : movement forbidden WARNING # Black triangle and marking on a yellow background : danger if not adhered to. Risk of injury to the user or third parties, with possibility of damage top the machine or the tool. O PROHIBITION # Red circle with or without bar : use or presence prohibited. INFORMATION # Information - Instruction: special instructions concerning use and inspection. The manufacturer declines any responsibility resulting from improper use, or modifications.

English This symbol indicates that the machine is € in conformance with the applicable European directive. Carborundum Saw blade disc Do not use the saw for any purpose for which it is not designed (using a saw blade or abrasive SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS J disk which do not conform to the instructions for use). The disc cutter is designed to provide safe and reliable service in operating conditions corresponding with the instructions, but it can present dangers for the user and risks of damage, consequently regular on site inspection is necessary to ensure : + Perfect technical condition (use for the purpose for which itis intended and taking into account any risks, and correction of any malfunction detrimen- tal to safety). Use of a diamond disc for water lubricated cutting of marble, stone, granite, brick and facings (por- celain, glazed tiles, ceramics, etc). The use of any other disc is forbidden (abrasive, saw, etc). Competent personnel (qualifications, age, trai- ning, education) who have studied the manual in detail before starting work: any fault of an electri- cal or other nature must be checked by a compe- tent person (electrician, maintenance foreman, authorized dealer, etc). Thatthe warnings and instructions marked on the machine are followed (adequate personal protec- tion, correct use, general safety instructions, etc). That no modification, transformation or addition is detrimental to safety and that it is carried out without prior authorization from the manufacturer. Respect of the maintenance intervals and periodi- cal checks recommended. That only genuine spare parts are used for repairs. - Slacken the knob (H). Take out the legs fixed under- neath the frame [SEE FIG. 3] - Lift up the back ofthe machine and slide the two rear legs into place. Tighten the knobs (3) [SEE FIG. 1] - Do the same with the front legs. TRANSPORT - Lock the cutting head to the rear of the machine by means ofthe clip (A) - [SEE FIG. 2]. - Remove the legs in the reverse order to the assem- bly (first the front, then the back). Store them under the machine, remembering to fix them by tightening knob H [SEE FIG. 3]. For these different operations always disconnect the machine L Check before starting ] Please read the instructions for use prior to operating the machine for the first time. Motor off. The working area must be complete- ly cleared, well lit and all safety hazards removed (no water or dan- gerous objects in the vicinity) The operator must wear protec- tive clothing appropriate to the work he is doing. We recom- mend that this includes both eye and ear protection The use of ear protection is manda- tory. Any persons not involved in the work should leave the working area Use only blades marked with a maxi- mum operating speed greater than blade shaft speed Fitting the disc ] ÆAè Disconnect the machine by unplugging FD- supply cable. + Release the two knobs (C) - [SEE FIG. 4], remo- ve them and then remove the guard. >©@©@0cr-60 + Unscrew the disk clamping nut (D)- [SEE FIG. 5] using à 13 mm spanner. + Remove the clamping plate (E) and fitthe disk. Take care about the direction of rota- VAN tion which is shown by an arrow on one of the faces. Make sure the contact faces of flanges, of blade and the axle are clean. + Check the disk position on the centring plate (F) - ISEE FIG.6] + Refit the clamping plate (E) and tighten the nut (D). + Replace the guard, tighten the knobs (C). 7 L Electrical connection ] - ELECTRICAL SAFETY : Operate this machine only on a sup- ply equipped with a 30 mA earthed current-limiting circuit-breaker. Otherwise, consult our catalogue for appropriate models. - The RCCB must be used correctly, including testing it regularly. For tools supplied with an integral RCCB in the cable or in the mains plug, if the cable or plug has been damaged, repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer, one of his agents or by a qualified repair workshop to avoid any risks resul- ting from errors. The protective guard and the motor mounting ensure that the disk is sprayed evenly. 9 L Cutting method J Square cuts :

  • Remove the disk support head towards the rear. + Position the material on the table. + Pull the head towards yourself whilst gradually forward it without forcing the blade (avoid sud- den contact with the material).

45 degree bevel cuts : + Loosen the two adjusting flywheels (G) [SEE FIG. 7]. *_ Tip over the cutting head and rail assembly.

  • Relock the flywheels. With the head down (for foils, mouldings, etc.) : + Unscrew the locking lever (] ). + Adjust to the required cutting depth ÎISEE FIG.8] + Relock the wedge-shaped screw (J ).

10H Adjustments + No adjustment is necessary. This is carried out in our workshops. + The machine does not work CAUSES REMEDIES Not plugged in proper- ly or cable damaged -Make sure that the supply is correctly plugged in (plug, extension lead, etc) -Check the supply cable No mains voltage - Test or have tested by an electrician (cir- cuit breaker, plug, etc) 11 Maintenance (the motor must be stopped) EN Before carrying out any operation “By disconnect the machine from the mains + Clean the machine daily. + Empty regularly the tank to remove muddy depo- sits which could clog the pump and thus cause premature wear. + Wash the tray with plenty of water. + Clean the pump. + Store in a dry place + Clean the rails with particular attention.

Switch defective, motor cable damaged -Have tested by an electrician or contact the service depart- ment Motor faulty (no power, unpleasant smell) - Contact the service department to have the motor replaced - Difficult starting CAUSES REMEDIES Single phase motor starting condenser - Replace the conden- ser English + The pump does not start CAUSES REMEDIES The mains lead is not | -Check the mains correctly connected or lead is damaged No voltage in pump circuit or mains supply circuit - Check the pump cir- cuit and mains sup- ply circuit + The pump does not pump water CAUSES REMEDIES An air bubble may have formed inside the pump body - Holding the pump of the outlet pipe remove it from the water and reimmerse it The turbine is jammed - Unscrew the filter and, using à small screwdriver, remove all dirt from the ope- rating area of the tur- bine.

12H Adjusting the traverse Adjusting the carriage on the rail [SEE FIG.9]. This adjustment is necessary only if the wheels (D) no longer bear on the rail (R). (Contact points 1 and 2 on the wheels). + Loosen the 2 nuts (A), opposite side of the disc using a N° 13 wrench, then tighten the screws (C) using a N° 6 wrench (not supplied) + Re-tighten the 2 nuts (A) and slide the carriage over the length ofthe rail (R) to check adjustment. + Fine tune the adjustment if necessary. 13H Lateral table extension + Position the extension to the left, or the right, to ensure maximum stability when cutting large size materials. 14H Important advice - Tighten all the nuts and bolts regularly. + When storing the machine, we recommend remo- ving the blade and storing it carefully. + Check that there is sufficient water supply during operation. - Tighten the blade firmly. + Make sure the contact faces of the flanges, blade and axle are clean. The manufacturer declines all responsi- ÂA bility for loss or damage resulting from misuse or any modification, alteration or powering that does not conform to the manufacturer's original specifica- tions. The noise level of this machine is mea- sured according to the S 31.069 stan- dard. At the work station, the sound pressu- re level may exceed 85 db (A) In this case individual protection mea- sures must be taken. 15 HRepairs Contact your supplier who is entirely at your service to carry out repairs in the shortest time at the best possible price. 16 L Spare parts J For rapid delivery of spares and in order to avoid any wasted time, itis necessary to remind your sup- plier ofthe details shown on the instruction plate on the machine with each order, as well as the refe- rence of the part to be replaced. 00000000! The warranty is acknowedged as of the date of purchase (date of the invoice of the distributor) and is valid for à period of 12 months.

The warranty is limited to the free of charge replacement of parts recognised as defective by Husqvama (excluding wear components and consumables) providing the repair is made within after-sales service of Husqvama or à recognised Husqvarna repair centre. The manufacturer is not responsible for any direct or indirect, material or immaterial, damages caused to persons or things by failure of the machine or the non operation ofthe machine.

3. WARRANTY CONDITIONS

To benefit the warranty, it is necessary to retum the joined warranty certificate, duly completed, to Husqvama within eight days of the purchase. In case of failure of the machine during the warranty period, our after-sales services will inform you of the appropriate and most effective method of dealing with your claim and advise you if necessary of your nearest approved service centre. AS an altemative, you may retum, at your cost, the machine together with a written description ofthe problem and damages with a copy of the invoice directly to our after sales department where upon à full investigation will be instigated without delay. 4, EXCLUSIONS Warranty will not be applied for damages or failures caused by -_ incorrect use, maintenance, - use of incorrect fuel or lubricants not advised by Husqvarna, - use of non-genuine parts or accessories, - repairs made by non approved service centres, - use of incorrect specifications of cutting tools.
