PRODUCT OPERATION

Preparing for operation

Unpack the product by removing all packaging components. It is recommended not to dispose of the packaging as it may be useful for later storage of the product. Check all parts of the product for damage. Check the nozzle, the air inlet and outlet for clogging. Warning! During assembly operations, ensure that the product is switched off and that the batteries are not connected to the socket in the machine.

Blower mode assembly

Ensure that the device is disconnected from the power supply. The power supply batteries have been removed from the unit's socket. The blower tube consists of 2 parts and a nozzle. In the first step, connect the nozzle to the first part of the blower tube (II). Slide the blower nozzle onto the end of the first part of the tube until the locking catch hits the hole in the side wall of the nozzle. Ensure that the connection is properly locked. In a second step, slide the first part of the blower tube over the second part of the tube until the locking catch hits the hole in the side wall of the tube (III). Ensure that the connection is properly locked. In the third step, the correctly assembled blower tube must be fitted to the air outlet in the unit housing (IV). To do this, press and hold the tube lock button, then slide the tube onto the blower air outlet, release the button. The locking catch should hit the hole in the side wall of the tube. Ensure that the connection is properly locked. A properly assembled blower tube can only be dismantled by following the steps in reverse order of assembly.

NOTE! If the unit is to be used as a blower, the air inlet cover must be correctly fixed on the inlet duct (V). To avoid serious injury, do not use the blower without the air inlet cover. The inlet duct contains an impeller and cutting blades that make a rotating motion when the machine is in operation and can cause serious injury.

Vacuum mode assembly

Ensure that the device is disconnected from the power supply. The power supply batteries have been removed from the unit's socket. The vacuum tube consists of 3 components. In the first step, connect the vacuum nozzle to the first part of the blower tube (VI). Slide the vacuum nozzle onto the end of the first part of the tube until the locking catch hits the hole in the wall of the nozzle. Ensure that the connection is properly locked. In a second step, slide the first part of the vacuum tube over the second part of the tube until the locking catch hits the hole in the side wall of the tube (VII). Ensure that the connection is properly locked. In the third step, install the correctly assembled vacuum tube into the air inlet duct in the blower housing (VIII). To do this, move and hold the lock according to the direction marked by the arrow. Pull out the air inlet cover, then place the first part of the vacuum tube onto the air inlet duct, release the lock. Ensure that the connection is properly locked. In the fourth step, fit the collection bag into the air outlet located in the unit's housing (IX). To do this, press and hold the tube lock button, then slide the bag's mounting onto the air outlet, release the button. Ensure that the connection is properly locked. Attach the bag clip to the bag holder located at the bottom of the product housing. Ensure that the connection is properly locked. A properly assembled vacuum tube and collection bag can only be dismantled by following the steps in reverse order of assembly.

The next step is to adjust the front handle. After pressing and holding the handle lock buttons, it is possible to adjust the position of the handle (X). The position of the handle should be selected experimentally, adjusting it to the physical conditions of the operator and the area where the vacuum will be used. The position of the handle should allow you to work with your elbows bent and your back straight. It should also ensure freedom of movement of the vacuum in the working plane.

NOTE! It is prohibited to use the vacuum without a correctly fitted bag or with a damaged collection bag. The machine should only be used with the bag provided. To purchase a new bag, contact the manufacturer's authorised service centre.

Carrying belt

On the housing of the unit, there is an attachment clamp for the carrying belt (XI). The belt clip should be attached to the clamp so that the hitch lock secures the machine against accidental detachment during operation. The belt should be worn so that it rests on one shoulder and then diagonally wraps around the operator's chest, allowing the tool to be hooked at hip level (XII).

Connecting the device to the power supply

The tool is powered by two batteries. The tool will not start up if one of the batteries is not mounted in the tool or is discharged. The batteries in the tool are connected in series, which means that the tool is supplied with the sum of their rated voltages. It is recommended that both batteries have the same capacity and are charged to the same level. The batteries used to supply the tool

EN

should also have the same level of wear. It is not recommended to connect a flat battery with a new one, even if both batteries are charged to the same level and have the same capacity. Failure to comply with the above recommendations will result in shorter operating times and faster wear of the batteries used to supply the tool. Slide the battery into one of the sockets so that its latch is outside the socket (XIII). Slide the battery into the seat until the latch engages. Repeat for the second battery. Make sure that the batteries will not disconnect on its own during operation. Disconnect the battery by pressing and holding the latch and then pulling the battery out of the seat.

Only the following 18V Li-Ion YATO batteries can be used to power the tool: YT-82842, YT-82843, YT-82844 and YT-82845, which can only be charged with YATO YT-82848 or YT-82849 chargers. It is forbidden to use other batteries with a different rated voltage and not matching the tool battery socket. It is forbidden to modify the socket or battery to make them match.

Activation of the blower / vacuum

Ensure that the batteries are connected to the unit. Grasp the product by the handle, make sure that neither the air inlet nor the air outlet is obstructed. Direct the nozzle outlet so that the airflow is not directed at any person, animal or object. Start the product by pressing the switch located on the control panel with your finger. Pressing the switch will start the airflow. On the control panel (XIV) there are lights indicating the approximate state of charge of the batteries: red, orange, green - battery charged. Red, orange – battery partially charged. Red – battery needs charging.

Once started, the unit operates at its weakest airflow force. To increase the airflow force, press the airflow force button on the control panel marked with an upward arrow. To reduce the airflow force, press the airflow force button on the control panel marked with a down arrow. Each single press of the increase or decrease button increases or decreases the airflow force by one degree. A change in the airflow force is indicated by the lights lighting up, the more lights lit up, the higher the blowing or suction force. To switch off the blower, press your finger on the switch, wait until the operation of the machine is completely stopped, disconnect the machine from the power supply by disconnecting the batteries. Next, proceed with maintenance.

Turbo function

During unit's operation, it is possible to increase the airflow capacity to maximum by using the turbo function. This function should only be used briefly, for a maximum of 30 seconds, only if the airflow force in normal operation is insufficient. The turbo function operates independently of the currently set airflow strength. To use the turbo function, the device must be switched on. The turbo function cannot be switched on until the machine has reached full speed for normal operation. Then press and hold the "TURBO" button on the control panel. Releasing pressure on the button will allow the machine to return to normal operation. The blower does not have the option of running in turbo mode by holding down the "TURBO" button.

Instructions for use

Always make sure that the inlet, outlet, and nozzle are not clogged. Increased noise and vibration will be the first sign if any of these is partly or completely clogged. Restore the flow capacity immediately. Working with a clogged product is inefficient and can cause overheating and damage to it. Before starting work, check the work area thoroughly, removing any objects that may cause a hazard if propelled by an air blow. Also, remove any objects that may move unexpectedly under the influence of the air stream, e.g., tip over and cause danger. Provide a safety zone of at least 15 m wide from the working area. The safety zone must not be accessible to any persons, especially children. Persons entering the safety zone should exercise caution and use the same personal protective equipment as the machine operator.

Always direct the blower nozzle downwards, towards the ground to be cleaned. Do not blow debris in the direction of other people or animals. Do not blow air towards a surface that is too loose. The dust generated during such use impairs the ability to watch the workplace, which does not allow for appropriate response in the event of an emergency. As far as possible, direct the air flow in the same direction as the wind. This will prevent debris from moving into the already cleared area. Before starting the vacuum, always make sure that the collection bag is correctly installed. Check the amount of debris in the bag regularly during operation, and empty it. Collection bag overfilling will lead to clogging. Do not use the vacuum to suck in wet, damp, or hot waste. Do not suck in construction waste and dust generated during construction works, e.g., dust generated when finishing gypsum skim coats. The product is not suitable for such materials. If the product has a speed adjustment function, use the lowest speed possible to carry out the work. Higher speeds cause more noise and also cause faster wear of the product. Walk and keep your balance at all times, do not run, do not jump, do not overreach during the work. Do not use the product to clean a surface that is out of sight.

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Whenever work is completed, disconnect the batteries from the product and proceed with maintenance. Dismount the nozzle and the collection bag, if it was used. Clean both the vents and the inlet and outlet with a soft brush or a painting brush with plastic bristles. Clean the housing, handle, and controls with a soft, slightly dampened with water cloth and then dry them. A compressed air stream with a pressure not exceeding 0.3 MPa can be used for cleaning. Once the nozzle is removed, it can be cleaned with a water jet and then dried or left to dry. Do not immerse the device or batteries in water or any other liquid. Do not clean the unit with a jet of water or other liquid. Empty the bag by unzipping it and removing dust residue using a stream of compressed air of 0.3 MPa or less. Do not use sharp objects, abrasives, solvents, or alcohol for cleaning. Take special care when cleaning the blades attached to the rotor. Blades have sharp edges and their improper handling can lead to injury.
