SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF GRINDERS
All tools used with the grinder must have a minimum speed greater than the rated speed of the grinder. It is forbidden to use tools with a minimum permissible speed lower than the nominal speed of the grinder spindle. The grinding wheels used must have diameters compatible with the dimensions of the grinder. Grinding wheels must be stored in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Check the condition of the grinder before each start-up. Grinding wheels and abrasive discs should be mounted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. To ensure that the grinding wheel is correctly fitted, start the grinder without load for 30 seconds in a safe position. When excessive vibration or other signs of malfunction or damage occur, stop the device immediately and then check. If the unit has guards, the unit must not be used without the guards attached. It is not allowed to make the hole in the grinding wheel larger. In the case of machines designed to work with discs having threaded holes, it is necessary to ensure the correct spindle length. Check that the workpiece is properly clamped. Cutting discs must not be used for
EN
side grinding. Ensure that sparks generated during grinding do not cause injury or create a fire hazard. Ensure that the vents are properly cleaned. If necessary, disconnect the grinder from the power supply and clean the tool of dust. Do not use for cleaning metal materials. Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Other personal protective equipment such as dust masks, gloves, helmets, and aprons should be worn. When the grinder is switched off, the disc continues to spin for some time.
Set-up and installation
Place the grinder on a level, secure, stable and non-flammable surface. Through the holes in the base, fix the tool to the ground with the appropriate fixing screws. The grinder must only be used in a dry, enclosed area with no possibility of access by members of the public, especially children.
Installation of supports
Depending on the model, fasten the support with a screw and nut or screws to the grinding wheel guard. Adjust the distance between the support and the grinding wheel so that it is no greater than 2mm (II).
Safety guard installation
Secure the guard brackets to the wheel guard with screws. Adjust the distance between the guard support and the grinding wheel so that it is no greater than 2mm (II). Then insert the cover into the slot and tighten with screws (III).
CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPY
Before connecting the grinder to the power supply, check that the mains parameters correspond to the rated data. If this is not the case, do not connect the grinder to the socket. The grinder must be connected to an electrical system that has a protective conductor. If the plug socket does not have a protective (neutral or earthing) pin, connection is not permitted. If you are unsure about the correct earthing or neutralisation of the electrical installation, contact a qualified electrician. Do not insert the cable plug into the socket until you have ensured that the grinder is switched off. To do this, press the button marked "O" and then release the button. In the event of damage or abrasion to the electrical cable, the grinder must be disconnected from the voltage source and taken to an authorised repair shop for repair.
PREPARING FOR WORK
ATTENTION! All operations must be carried out with the power supply to the grinder disconnected - remove the electrical plug from the mains socket!
The abrasive discs should be sound tested before use. When the disc is gently struck - e.g. with a plastic hammer - the disc must make a clear sound. If the disc makes a dead noise (which may indicate a broken grinding wheel), it is essential to replace the disc. Only use discs that are marked with the type, size and maximum permissible speed. Do not use discs of unknown origin! Fit guards, safety glasses and supports. Check that the distance between the support and the grinding wheel is no greater than 2 mm and that the gap between the grinding wheel and the eyepiece support is no greater than 2 mm. As the abrasive discs wear down, adjust the eyepiece supports and brackets to the required distances. Check that the grinder is securely positioned, tighten the screws securing the grinder body to the ground firmly and securely if necessary. Check that the electrical cable and plug are not damaged. Wear appropriate work clothing, ear protection and safety glasses. Designate a safety zone around the grinder, keep bystanders, especially children, out of the station. Connect the cord plug of the grinder to the mains socket. Such a socket outlet must have a protective plug! Switch on the grinder with the switch and observe its operation. Increased vibration, abnormal noise, etc., which may indicate that the grinding wheels are not evenly balanced, through insecure mounting to the surface, are unacceptable. In this case, switch off the grinder with the on/off switch, unplug the cord from the mains socket and remove the cause of the vibration and noise or have the tool repaired by an authorised service centre.
OPERATION
ATTENTION! Do not use the grinder without the grinding wheel guards, safety glasses and supports in place.
The grinder must only be operated by a person who is familiar with the health and safety rules and regulations applicable to the operation of cutting machines. Use personal eye protection, safety glasses, gloves and ear protection when working. Workwear should fit tightly to the body and have no loose, hanging parts. The workplace should be separate and provide comfort for the operator. When working, stand firmly and in balance. Proper lighting of the workplace should also be kept in mind. The machine can only be operated by one person during operation! No bystanders, especially children and animals, are allowed near the workplace. Do not use the tool without a preliminary check in loose gear. Do not allow the tool to be overloaded. The maximum temperature of the grinder motor must not exceed 80^ . Do not use the grinder in damp or wet areas. The tool must not be exposed to precipitation. The workpiece should be pressed against the grinding wheel sensitively, with constant and not too firm pressure. If the workpiece heats up strongly during machining, cool it down, e.g. by immersing it in cold water. Use the entire face of the grinding wheel when working. The side surfaces of the grinding wheel must not be used for grinding. Use softer grinding wheels
EN
for hard metals, and harder wheels for metals of lower hardness. Do not grind soft metals (e.g. lead) or wood, as this causes the grinding wheels to wear down more quickly or even destroy them. A grinder is best suited for working on small tools that have blades - drills, scissors knives, chisels, chisels, chisels etc. Careful attention must be paid to holding the item being ground firmly and securely, as falling out of hands can cause an accident or damage to the tool.
ASSEMBLY AND REPLACEMENT OF GRINDING WHEELS
ATTENTION! Before changing grinding wheels, it is essential to disconnect the grinder from the voltage source by removing the cable plug from the mains socket.
Switch off the grinder and remove the power cord plug from the mains socket. Loosen the screws and remove the side cover, then unscrew the nut holding the pressure pad, the flexible spacer (if present) and the worn grinding wheel. Clean the inside of the cover of accumulated dirt. Fit a new grinding wheel, flexible spacer (if present) and pressure pad to the nut, then tighten firmly and securely. Remembering to disconnect the grinder from the mains, check that the grinding wheel rotates freely. Screw on the side cover, adjust the position of the eyepiece and support. Carry out a sound test of the grinding wheel. A dead sound will disqualify the grinding wheel for further use. Designate a safety zone around the grinder, insert the cable plug into the socket and switch the grinder on to loose operation for approx. 5 min. Only after you have made sure that the grinder is working properly should you start operating it.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTIONS
CAUTION! Before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance work, unplug the tool from the mains socket. Having finished working, inspect the power tool for damage by visually checking the exterior and the body and the handles. Check the power cord with plug and its rubber gland, the action of the electric power switch, the ventilation openings for clogging, the motor brushes for sparking, the noise level of the bearings and the drive transmission, and how the power tool starts and runs. During the warranty period, the user is not allowed to install any power tools or replace any components or parts, as this will void the warranty rights. Any irregularities found during the inspection or the operation signal the need for repair to be done at the service centre. After finishing work, the housing, ventilation openings, switches, auxiliary handle and covers should be cleaned e.g. with an air jet (with a pressure not exceeding 0.3MPa ), paintbrush or dry cloth without the use of chemicals and cleaning agents. Clean the tools and handles with a clean and dry cloth.
