Frequently Asked Questions - ZT-50HAR Vevor

How to install the coolant tank?
Install the coolant tank as shown in the instruction diagram, usually by fixing it to the side of the machine. Make sure the tank is properly positioned to allow a coolant flow of at least 47 cc/min.
How to change a twist drill?
To change a twist drill, first insert the arbor into the spindle and tighten the set screws with the M5 hex key. Then slide the chuck onto the arbor, loosen the jaws with the chuck key by turning counterclockwise. Insert the drill bit and tighten by turning the key clockwise. Remember to remove the setting keys before use.
What to do if the magnetic base does not adhere?
If the magnetic base does not adhere, check that the magnetic switch is in good contact. Ensure the adsorption surface is clean, flat, and thicker than 15 mm. If the problem persists, check the power supply voltage and the fuse. In case of a short circuit, it may be necessary to repair or replace the magnetic base.
What is the correct startup procedure?
Before starting, ensure the switch is in the off position. Select forward or reverse rotation direction. First turn on the magnet switch (the indicator light turns on), then turn on the drill switch. Use the speed button to adjust the speed. Never change the rotation direction before the motor shaft is completely stopped.
How to use the annular cutter (hole saw)?
To install an annular cutter, insert the pilot pin into the upper hole of the cutter, then mount the cutter on the spindle and tighten the set screws with the M5 hex key. During drilling, start slowly letting the cutter touch the steel plate carefully. Reduce the feed speed by one third when approaching the end of the hole. Always cool the cutter during cutting.
What are the symptoms of a dull drill bit and how to remedy?
A dull drill bit produces elliptical holes or cuts only on one side. There may also be chip sticking. Replace the drill bit with a new one or sharpen it. Also ensure that the feed speed is not too high and that cooling is sufficient.
How to maintain the magnetic drill?
After each use, clean the bottom of the magnetic base. If the slideway is not smooth, lubricate it. Regularly check the electrical protection device and grounding, especially during the rainy season. Before any maintenance, unplug the tool.
What are the important safety instructions?
Always wear safety glasses, a dust mask, and gloves. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep long hair tied back. Use only approved safety equipment (ANSI for eyes, NIOSH for breathing). Work in a well-lit and clean area. Avoid explosive atmospheres. Ensure the tool is properly grounded.
How to avoid accidents when drilling at height?
When working at height, securely fix the magnetic drill to prevent a fall in case of a power outage. Use a safety belt. Ensure the magnetic base is well adhered and the adsorption surface is thick enough (more than 15 mm). If necessary, temporarily weld a plate of sufficient thickness.
Where can I find after-sales service and spare parts?
Technical support and the electronic warranty certificate are available on the website www.vevor.com/support. For spare parts, use only original Vevor parts to ensure safety and proper operation. Contact support for any questions.
