Frequently Asked Questions - CT901M Vevor

How to assemble the Vevor CT901M trailer?
Assembly involves several steps: opening the main frame, attaching the crossbar, installing the wheels with wheel guards, mounting the tow bar, then fixing the tarpaulin and reflectors. Necessary tools (19 mm wrench and 4 mm hex key) are included. Refer to the figures in the manual for details.
How to attach the trailer to my bike?
The hitch can be attached to a quick-release axle or a nut axle. For a quick-release axle, install the part between the quick-release mechanism and the frame. For a nut axle, replace the axle nut with the hitch nut. The nut must be engaged at least five full turns. The universal hitch is not suitable for thru-axles.
What is the maximum load capacity?
The maximum load is 45 kg (100 lb). Never exceed this limit to avoid risk of imbalance or accident.
Can the trailer be used to transport children or animals?
No, the trailer is exclusively designed for transporting goods. It is strictly forbidden to transport children or pets.
What type of bike can tow this trailer?
The trailer can be used with any standard bicycle (non-electric) equipped with a compatible rear axle (quick-release or nut). Electric bikes and motorcycles are not allowed.
How to check the tongue weight?
Place the loaded trailer on a scale, then lift the tow bar to about 25 cm from the ground. The weight indicated on the scale should be 3 to 8 kg higher than your weight alone. This ensures correct load distribution.
What are the recommended speed limits?
Ride at a maximum of 16 km/h on straight, smooth roads. In turns or on uneven surfaces, reduce to 8 km/h.
How to maintain the trailer?
Wash fabric parts by hand with mild soap. Do not use bleach or solvents. Store the trailer indoors at temperatures between -23°C and 65°C. Regularly inspect wheels, frame, and fastenings.
What to do if a tire is punctured?
Refer to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall. Do not overinflate. If a tire is damaged, replace it with a tire of the same size (16x1.75 inches).
Where to find spare parts or technical support?

  • The trailer is designed exclusively for transporting cargo on a road bicycle. It is intended for personal use only. Only use the trailer as described in the instructions. Any other use is considered improper and may result in serious injury or death.
  • The bike trailer can be used with any standard adult bicycle. DO NOT use the trailer with an E-bike or motorcycle.
  • DO NOT use the trailer to transport child or pet. DO NOT use a trailer as a toy.
  • DO NOT use the trailer off road. DO NOT use the trailer without connecting to a bicycle.
  • Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use. ● Maximum load: 45 kg (100 lbs.) ● This product is not suitable for running or skating
  • Any load attached to the handle and/or on the back of the back and/or on the sides of the vehicle will affect the stability of the

  • Only use replacement parts supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do NOT use it with a total load that exceeds the weight limits. recommended load is exceeded, the unit may become unstable.
  • DO NOT make modifications to the product.
  • DO NOT over-inflate the tires. Failure to comply with the rated tire sidewall pressure may lead to explosion of the tire and possible
  • It is recommended that a qualified bicycle mechanic does a safety check of the towing bicycle before attaching the trailer.
  • Before each ride, be sure the trailer does not interfere with braking pedaling or steering of the bicycle. ● Always comply with local regulations when using the trailer on pul roadways.
  • Never ride a bicycle at night without adequate lighting.
  • Obey all local legal requirements for lighting.
  • If you need to come to a stop for any reason, such as to make adjustments or to address a flat tire, be sure to pull off the road completely.
  • When using your trailer, you are towing extra weight and a bigger vehicle. You must allow more time for braking, slowing, stopping and starting, and allow more room for turns and passageways. Experiment with the loaded trailer in an uncongested area until you become familiar with how your bike handles towing a trailer.
  • Avoid rocks, curbs, hard braking and sudden swerving. Avoid riding over obstacles with one wheel, as this may cause the trailer to tip. ● Always ride with the cover down to secure the cargo. ● The rider of the bicycle must be at least 16 years old.
  • Recommended speed limits: - 16 km/h (10 mph) on smooth, straight roads - 8 km/h (5 mph) when turning or on uneven roads.
  • Trailer weight must be properly distributed for safe handling. The weight on the hitch connector should be between 30 N (≈3 kg / 6.6 lbs.) and 80 N (≈8 kg / 17.6 lbs.). To measure this, load your trailer and place it next to a bathroom scale. Step on the scale and make a note of your weight. Standing on the scale, lift up the end of the tow bar one foot (approximately 25 cm) off the ground. The weight shown should be 6.6 – 17.6 lbs. more than your own weight. If the weight is too low, the wheel of the bicycle could lose traction. If it is too high, the hitch could be overloaded.
