Which battery to use with the Vevor BY1018-1 motor?

Use a lead or lithium battery of 36 V with a capacity of 12 to 20 Ah. The voltage must match the motor (tolerance +10%). The positive and negative terminals must be correctly connected.

How to connect the controller to the motor?

Connect the yellow wire of the controller to the red wire of the motor, and the blue wire of the controller to the black wire of the motor. Make sure the connections are tight.

What to do if the motor does not start?

Check the battery voltage (must be ≥ 29 V). Make sure the electric lock is connected (orange and red wires). Check all connections (plugs, wire colors). If the problem persists, contact customer service with clear photos.

What is the maximum speed of the motor?

The rated speed is 3000 rpm. After reduction (ratio 7.18:1), the output speed is approximately 400 rpm.

Can I use a lithium battery with this motor?

Yes, but make sure the voltage and power match. The recommended capacity is 12 to 20 Ah. Note that sparks may occur during connection, which is normal.

How to install the pinion and brake?

The pinion is a 410-9T. For the brake, connect the black wire to ground and the yellow wire to the low-level brake signal. The brake cuts the motor power when activated.

What safety precautions should be observed?

1.4 Operational considerations and triggers for motor non-work accidents

1) Check whether all accessories are connected tightly and not loose, check whether the pins in each plug-in are bent, and visually check whether each interface is consistent with the instructions in the wiring manual and whether connection is correct. To avoid writing errors and burning the controller.

2) It is recommended to use lead-acid batteries. Lithium batteries can also be used (note that the battery voltage and battery power match the kit power). The recommended battery capacity is 12AH-20AH. The battery voltage needs to be consistent with the motor kit voltage, allowing an over voltage range of +10%. The positive and negative terminals of the power supply must be connected correctly (the positive terminal is connected to the thick line of the controller in red, the negative terminal is connected to the thick line of the controller in black). When the battery and controller are connected, small arcing and sparks may occur, which is normal.

3) The electric door lock (orange, red) must be connected (you can use the electric door lock, or you can shorten the orange and red wires with wires). This is the last step. 4) The accessories outside this kit, which belong to the accessories you purchase, may not match with the kit and need to be used after matching. Please contact customer service in time to match the kit with each other.

COMMON PROBLEMS AND REMEDIES

Phenomenon:

The electronic lock must be opened. When the electronic lock is opened, the throttle is turned and the motor does not work.

Reason:

Battery: The battery is too low and does not reach the required operating voltage.

Solution:

1. Charging;
2. Select a battery with the corresponding operating voltage;
3. Check whether each plug-in is connected correctly and whether the connected terminals are connected reliably, so as to avoid failure to work normally due to incorrect connection or poor contact.
