- Your new unit was manufactured and assembled under strict ROADSTAR quality control. Thank you for purchasing our product for your music enjoyment. Before operating the unit, please read this instruction manual carefully. Keep it also handy for further future references.

POWER SOURCES

AC POWER: You can power your clock radio by plugging the Power adaptercord into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage.

BATTERY BACK-UP POWER FAILURE PROTECTION

This radio has a battery back up circuit that will keep the correct time and alarm settings in the event of a temporary power interruption.

Install a 3V CR-2032 battery (not included), into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit.

Change the battery every 9 to 12 months for best result and avoid possible battery leakage.

If power is temporarily interrupted the display will blink and the radio will not play. However, the battery back-up circuit will continue to maintain the clock and alarm settings. When power is restored the clock will display the correct time and alarm settings, and no adjustment is necessary.

CLOCK SETTING

In standby mode, press and hold the [SET] button (1) to enter the clock setting mode.

Setting the time: Press the [BACKWARD] (4) button to set the hour time and [FORWARD] button (5) to set the minute time.

Press the [SET] button (1) to confirm each setting option.

ALARM SETTING

In stand by mode:

Press the [ALARM 1] or [ALARM 2[ button (2 or 3) to show the current alarm 1 or 2 setting, respectively.

Press and hold the [ALARM 1] or [ALARM 2] button (2 or 3) to enter the alarm time setting mode.

In the alarm setting mode, press the [ALARM 1] or [ALARM 2] (2 or3) repeatedly to cycle through the setting options:

Alarm hour time > alarm minute time > Alarm sound source

Press the [BACKWARD] or [FORWARD] button (4 or 5) to adjust the values in each setting option. Press and hold the button to change the values quickly.

Press the [ALARM 1] or [ALARM 2] button (2 or 3) to confirm each setting option.

Once settings are done, the alarm is enabled and the corresponding AL 1 or AL 2 icon (10 or 11) will turn on.

Note: Select the buzzer ("bu" shows on the display), the radio (the last played radio frequency shows on the display), as the alarm sound source.

When the alarm is set to radio mode, the alarm will use the last tuned radio station.

When the clock time is displayed, press the [ALARM 1] or [ALARM 2] button (2 or 3) to enable or disable the respective alarm. The corresponding Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 indicator (10 or 11) (alarm or radio) will switch on when the alarm is enabled.

SNOOZE

To temporarily silence a sounding alarm, press the [SNOOZE] (7) button. The alarm will sound again when the snooze period (9 minutes) is over.

The corresponding Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 indicator (alarm or radio) flashes on the display during the snooze period.

To cancel the snooze period and the alarm, press any ALARM OFF button.

TO USE THE RADIO

Press the [RADIO ON/OFF] button (6) to switch the radio on.

Press the [BACKWARD] or [FORWARD] button (4 or 5) to adjust frequency.

Press and hold the [BACKWARD] or [FORWARD] button (4 or 5) to automatically tune to the next available FM station. Press the [RADIO ON/OFF] button (6) to switch the radio off. Note: For a better reception reorient the antenna.

PRESETS

Tune to a station. Press and hold the [MEM/M+] button (1) until “P01” (or the next available preset slot) shows on the display.

Press the [BACKWARD] or [FORWARD] button (4 or 5) to select a preset number (P01-P10).

Press the [MEM/M+] button (1) to confirm. The preset station has been set up.

Press the [MEM/M+] button (1) repeatedly while listening to the radio to select a preset station. Alternatively, press the [MEM/M+] button (1) once and then press the [BACKWARD] or [FORWARD] button (4 or 5) to select a preset station.

SLEEP TIMER

This sleep function defines the duration of time before the radio switches itself off automatically.

When the radio is switched on, press the [SLEEP] button (7) repeatedly to select a sleep period (Options: Off, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 minutes).

The radio will automatically switch off when the sleep period is over.

Press the the [SLEEP] button (7) button to check the remaining time before the radio switches off. Press the [RADIO ON/OFF] button (6) to cancel this function.

LED DIMMER

In Stand by mode, short press [SNOOZE] (7) button to set LED lightness.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not allow this clock radio to be exposed to rain or moisture.

This clock radio should not be exposed to direct sunlight, very high or low temperature, moisture, vibration, or placed in a dusty environment.

Do not use abrasives, benzine, thinners, or other solvents to clean the surfaces of the clock radio. To clean it, wipe with a mild non-abrasive detergent solution on a clean soft cloth. Never attempt to insert wires, pins, or other objects into the ventilation holes or openings on the clock radio.

Note: When setting the Clock or Alarm times remember that this clock radio has a 24 Hour clock mode.
