WARNING

• The device is only intended for trimming animal hair on cats or dogs.
• The device is only intended for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.
• This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

• Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself, as faultless functionality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to comply will invalidate the guarantee.

• Clean up the device after usage and do not leave it lying around.

• The hand-held part must be disconnected from the connection cable before it is cleaned in water.
• When using the device in the bathroom, unplug the mains plug after use as water in the vicinity constitutes a danger, even when the device is switched off.
• Never use the device near baths, wash basins, showers or other objects containing water or other liquids as this will pose the risk of electric shock.
• If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person to avoid any risk.
• As an additional safety measure, we recommend the installation of a residual-current-operated protective device (RCD) with a rated operational current not exceeding 30 mA in the bathroom circuit. Your local electrical specialist can provide you with the relevant information.

1. INCLUDED IN DELIVERY

Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.

3. INTENDED PURPOSE

The device is only intended for trimming animal hair on cats or dogs. Do not use the device on humans or objects!

The device is only intended for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.

The device may only be used for the purpose for which it is designed and in the manner specified in the instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.

4. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES

WARNING

To avoid damage to health, we strongly advise against using the device in the following situations:

- Danger of suffocation by packaging material! Keep packaging material away from children and animals.

- Inspect the device and accessories for visible damage before use. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

- Keep the mains adapter away from water.

- Risk of electric shock! Never submerge the device in water or other liquid!

- Risk of electric shock! If the device should fall into water despite following all safety precautions, immediately pull the mains plug from the socket! Do not reach into the water! Danger to life due to electric shock! Have the device checked by an authorised specialist workshop before using it again!

- If the device has been dropped or has suffered any other damage, it must no longer be used. Risk of electric shock and injury!

- Risk of electric shock! If there is visible damage to the device, accessories or

mains adapter, do not use the device if you have any doubts and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

• Risk of injury! Do not use the device if the stainless steel blade is damaged as it may have sharp edges.
• Risk of burns! The stainless steel blade may get hot after prolonged use.
• Do not use extension cables in the bathroom to ensure the mains adapter can be accessed quickly in an emergency.
• Only use the original comb attachments.

WARNING

To avoid damage to health, please note the following:

• The operator of the device must have experience dealing with the cats or dogs to be shorn.
• The device may only be operated by persons who can be expected to use it reliably. Persons whose reactions are affected by substances such as medication, alcohol or drugs are not allowed to operate the device.
• Switch off the device before attaching or switching the comb attachment.
• Risk of fire! Ensure that no highly flammable liquids are located near the device.
• Remove all packaging material before using the device.
• Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard.
• Only connect the device to a socket that has the correct voltage as indicated on the type plate.
• Only operate the device according to the specifications on the type plate.
• Only pull on the mains adapter to remove the mains cable from the socket.
• Never leave the device unattended while in use.
• Switch off the device after every use.
• Pull the mains adapter out of the socket after each completed charging process.

Notes on handling cutting oil

• Cutting oil may be harmful or fatal if swallowed. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting – seek medical attention immediately.
• If cutting oil comes into contact with the eyes or mouth, rinse the affected area with plenty of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention immediately.

NOTICE

• Protect the device and its accessories from impacts, humidity, dirt, marked temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight.
• Only operate, charge or store the device at temperatures from -10^ to 40^ .

Notes on handling batteries

WARNING

• Do not disassemble, open or crush the batteries. Never subject the battery to mechanical impacts.
• Risk of explosion! Risk of fire! Failure to comply with the points mentioned can result in personal injury, overheating, leakage, venting, breakage, explosion, or fire.
• Always use the correct or supplied charging cable/charger/mains adapter for charging.
• Avoid continuous charging or overcharging. Unplug the charger when charging is complete.
• Only use the USB charging cable included in delivery.
• Charge the device under supervision, paying attention to any heat generated, deformation, or release of gases. If in doubt, stop charging.
• Dispose of defective batteries/charging cables/chargers immediately and properly (see chapter on disposal).
• Do not use modified or damaged batteries/charging cables/chargers.

• Always select the correct battery type. Contact Customer Services for information on whether a battery replacement part can be replaced.

• Do not throw batteries into a fire.

• Never forcibly discharge, heat, disassemble, open, crush, deform, encapsulate, modify, or knock batteries.
• Never short-circuit batteries or battery compartment contacts.
• Protect the batteries from direct sunlight, rain, heat, and water.
• Exposure of batteries to an environment with extremely high temperatures or an extremely low air pressure may result in explosion or leakage of flammable liquids and gases.
• Always insert the batteries correctly, taking into account the polarity (+/-).
• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
• If fluid from a battery comes into contact with your skin or eyes, wash the affected areas with water and seek medical assistance.
• Choking hazard! Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Seek medical attention immediately if swallowed. Swallowing them may cause severe internal burns and death.
• Never allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.

CAUTION

• Store battery replacement parts away from metal objects in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool place.
• Keep batteries clean and dry.
• Keep batteries away from water.

Instructions on handling shears

WARNING

• Shears may be sharp. Keep the blades away from the animal's skin to prevent injury.
• Never leave the animal unattended while shearing.

• Avoid sudden movements that could scare the animal.

• Only use the shears for their intended purpose.

• If the animal shows any signs of stress or unease, stop immediately and calm it down.
• Check the shears regularly for damage and sharp edges.
• Shear in small sections to achieve an even result and minimise the risk of injury.

NOTICE

- After prolonged storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the battery several times to achieve maximum performance.

6. INITIAL USE

You can operate the device with the battery as well as a mains adapter (not included in delivery). To charge the device, only use a protection class 2 mains adapter (☐), which is approved for use with household appliances and whose output corresponds to the safety extra-low voltages of 5 V and max. 1 A.

6.1 Battery mode/charging the battery

You must fully charge the battery for 3 hours before the first use. The device will run for approx. 4 hours when fully charged.

1. Connect the USB charging cable 10 to the connection socket 6 and a mains adapter (not included in delivery).
2. During the charging process, the LED indicator lights up red. As soon as the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator goes out.

During normal operation, the LED indicator lights up white. As soon as the battery capacity is less than 25% in battery operation, the LED indicator flashes red.

6.2 Mains operation

Risk of electric shock! Never use the device in the shower or in a damp environment when in mains operation!

1. Connect the USB charging cable 10 to the connection socket 6 and a mains adapter (not included in delivery).
2. Insert the mains adapter into a suitable socket. The device is now ready for use and the battery is charging.

7. USAGE

1. Place the stainless steel blade 1 onto the device from above until it clicks into place. To remove the stainless steel blade 1 again, press it upwards with your thumb.

1. If necessary, select one of the four comb

attachments 2 and place it on the stainless steel blade 1 Slide the comb attachment 2 as far as it will go along the stainless

steel blade 1. We recommend that you start with the comb attachment with the longest cutting length initially so you can then slowly work your way up to your desired length.

1. Press the ON/OFF control 4 to switch on the device.
2. Guide the device slowly through the fur. Ensure that the comb attachment sits as flat on the animal as possible. Always only trim small areas. Cut the hair against the direction of growth. If the hair grows in different directions, use the device in multiple directions.
3. To switch off the device after use, press the ON/OFF control 4.

8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

8.1 Cleaning the device

WARNING

• Risk of electric shock! Always disconnect the device from the power source before cleaning it.
• Risk of fire! Do not clean the device with highly flammable liquids!
• Do not clean the device in the dishwasher!

• The device is not waterproof. The stainless steel blade 1 can be removed and rinsed under running water for hygienic cleaning.

• For thorough cleaning, remove the stainless steel blade 1 from the device by pulling it upwards.

• Leave the stainless steel blade 1 to dry completely before reattaching it to the device.

8.2 Oiling the stainless steel blade

To achieve consistently optimal cutting results, spread a little cutting oil on the stainless steel blade 1 on a regular basis.

9. ACCESSORIES AND REPLACEMENT PARTS

To purchase accessories and replacement parts, please visit www.beurer.com or contact the corresponding service address (according to the service address list) in your country. Accessories and replacement parts are also available from retailers.

10. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your country. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in ac-

cordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can obtain the location of collection points for old devices from the local authorities.

Empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of through specially designated collection boxes, recycling points or electronics retailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries appropriately. The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:

Pb = battery contains lead Cd = battery contains cadmium Hg = battery contains mercury

Environmentally friendly disposal

For the sake of the environment, we recommend you to dispose of the individual components separately, especially the batteries.

1.Use your thumbs to push the attached stainless steel blade upwards.
2.Then unscrew the middle and lower screw on the rear of the device.
3.Unscrew the four screws on the inside of the device.
4.Carefully pull off the housing cover upwards as shown.
5.Disconnect the plug-in coupling from the battery.Dispose of battery and device separately
