USER MANUAL TSA4013 Teesa

Thank you for purchasing TEESA appliance. Read the entire instruction manual before you start installation and assembly and keep it for future reference. Producer does not take responsibility for damages caused by inappropriate handling and use of the product.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Follow basic safety rules when operating the device, and follow instructions below:

  1. Read this instruction manual carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance.
  2. Before connecting the device to power supply socket, make sure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the voltage in the power supply socket.
  3. Product intended for household use only.
  4. Do not use the product for purposes different from displayed in this operating manual.
  5. Clean and store this appliance in accordance to instructions listed in "Cleaning" and "Storage" section.

  6. ALWAYS turn off the device and disconnect it from the mains supply:

- if it's not operating correctly

- if there's an uncommon voice when using

• before disassembling the device

• before cleaning

• before servicing

  1. When you disconnect the power cord, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord/cable.

  2. This appliance may be used by children who are above 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised and guided by a person who is responsible for their safety in a cautious manner, and all the safety precautions are understood and followed. Children should not play with this device. Children should not perform cleaning and servicing of the device unsupervised.

  3. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

  4. Fixed power cable may only be replaced in an authorized service point.

  5. Keep the appliance and its cord/cable away from heat, water, moisture, sharp edges and any other factor which may damage the appliance or its cord.

  6. Make sure the power cord does not touch any hot or sharp elements.

  7. Use only authorized accessories.

  8. Do not place the appliance in water or any liquid; nor handle/use it with wet or moist hands.

  9. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it's working.

  10. DO NOT use this appliance if the cord or the plug is damaged, or the appliance is broken.

IMPORTANT

  • The appliance is designed for frothing and/or heating milk or mixing drinks. Do not put any other type of liquid or solid food in the milk jug.
  • Do not place the appliance on or near a hot surface or any sources of heat.
  • Never use the appliance if the milk jug is empty.
    • Before use, make sure that the lid is securely attached.
  • Always observe the maximum level marks inside the milk jug. Do not exceed them. Otherwise, the milk jug may overflow.
  • Do not move the appliance while it is operating.
  • Do not remove the lid during appliance operation.
  • The milk jug heats up during operation. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle and the button to operate the appliance.

PREPARATION FOR USE

  1. After removing the appliance from the packaging, check the main body, power cord and the accessories for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used. It has to be returned to the authorized service point for repair.
  2. Clean the milk jug and the accessories to remove any production residue as described in the "Cleaning" section. IMPORTANT The inside of the milk jug and the contact area between the milk jug and the base must be clean and dry.
  3. Make sure to place the appliance on a dry, flat and stable surface, away from water and heat sources.

Notes:

- For heating milk, it is recommended to use cold (5-10°C) whole milk.

• In heating modes, milk is heated to approx. 60-70°C.

- Too cold milk can affect the device running. On the other side, overheated milk will affect foam quality or burn the milk.

OPERATION

Notes:

- It is recommended to use full-fat milk with 3,2% fat content for frothing.

- It is recommended to use cold milk (for best results, the milk should be taken from the refrigerator immediately before frothing).

  1. Remove the lid from the milk jug.

  2. Attach the frothing whisk to the spindle on the bottom of the milk jug and make sure it can rotate freely.

  3. Dependently on the function, fill the milk jug with cold milk up to the:

- MAX level (500 ml) to heat milk. Do not exceed MAX marking as the milk may overflow and damage the appliance.

- MAX level (200 ml) to froth milk. Always add sufficient amount of milk to the milk jug- at least up to the MAX marking.

• Always fill in no less than the MIN marking (100 ml) on the jug

  1. Place the lid on the milk jug.
  2. Insert the plug of the power cord into a wall socket.
  3. Place the milk jug on the base. The appliance beeps and the mode indicators flash. NOTE: The mode indicators will stop flashing after 60 seconds if non of the modes has been selected.
  4. Keep pressing the mode button until the desired mode is lit. Mode LED is on during operation.
  5. Operation in the selected mode starts automatically after 2 seconds.
  6. The appliance turns off automatically while reaching the ideal milk temperature or the setting time.
  7. If you want to pause the operation, press the mode button.
  8. If you want to stop the operation completely, press and hold the mode button for 2 seconds.
  9. Remove the lid. Grab the appliance by the handle, lift it off the base and pour out milk. To prevent the frothing whisk from falling off the bottom of the milk jug, do not tilt the milk jug too much when pouring out milk to a cup.

CAUTION! Danger of scalding! Hold the milk jug only by its handle. Do not touch any other part as it may be hot.

  1. Unplug the appliance from power mains, clean and store it according to the instructions listed in the "Cleaning and storage" section below.

Notes:

  • 3 minutes break should be applied between two operations.
  • In the event of overheating, the appliance switches to self-protection and blocks further use for the next 5 minutes.
  • The appliance is designed to heat or froth only milk. It cannot be used for stirring or heating other food as eggs, butter, soups, oils, cream, gravies and so on.
  • The appliance cannot be used as a mixer for a large amount of dry ingredients or for melting large food material as cubed chocolates, spices or ice cubes.

ADDING INGREDIENTS

Before adding ingredients (such as cocoa powder, grated chocolate or granulated sugar) pour milk into the jug. Select one of the heating modes and let the appliance run for a few seconds to warm up the milk. Then add the ingredients slowly and in a small amount to the jug. Adding the ingredients to the already heated milk will help to dissolve or melt the ingredients.

Notes:

  • Adding the ingredients too quickly, too early or if they are too big, can affect frothing.
  • The ingredients must be small in size.

- If the ingredients have been used, ensure the jug is thoroughly cleaned prior to next use.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

  • Prior to cleaning, make sure the appliance is unplugged from power mains and that it has cooled down completely.
    • The milk jug, whisk and lid should be cleaned after each use.
  • Cleaning is easiest if you rinse the jug, whisk and lid with warm water immediately after use.
  • Separate the silicone sealing ring from the lid and rinse both parts under running water.
  • The milk jug and the lid may be washed in the dishwasher.
  • Do not put the whisk in the dishwasher. Clean the whisk by hand only.
  • Do not clean the inside of the milk jug with sharp objects.
  • There may be milk residue at the bottom of the milk jug. This is normal situation. You can use a cleaning sponge to remove it.
  • Do not rinse the base and the power cord under running water or immerse it in water or any other liquid. Risk of electric shock!
  • Clean the base with a soft and dry cloth.
  • Make sure to wipe the appliance and its attachments dry after cleaning.
  • Do not use any abrasives or chemical agents to clean this device.
  • Before storing the appliance, make sure it is clean, dry and disconnected from the power supply.
  • Store the appliance in a dry, cool place, out of the reach of children.
