IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Before using the appliance, please take the time to read this user manual to familiarise yourself with the functions of the appliance and ensure that you use it as intended. To do so, follow the instructions outlined in the user manual.   1. This appliance can be used by children at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience or knowledge of the product, provided that they have been given adequate supervision or instruction concerning safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
  2. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are at least 8 years of age, and supervised. Keep the cable and appliance out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
  3. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer, a separate remote control system or any other device that can turn on the appliance automatically.
  4. The appliance is intended for domestic use only. Do not use it

for any purposes that are incompatible with its intended use.
5. The appliance must be connected to an earthed socket outlet with specifications consistent with the values on the rating plate.
6. Check to make sure that the total current consumption of all devices connected to the wall socket does not exceed the maximum load of the fuse.
7. When using an extension cable, check that the total power consumption of the equipment connected to the extension cable does not exceed the maximum load of the extension cable. Arrange the extension cable in a way that minimises the risk of accidental pulling and tripping.
8. Do not let the power cable of the appliance hang over the edge of a table or shelf, or touch a hot surface.
9. Always disconnect the device from the power supply before performing any maintenance work.
10. When disconnecting the power cord, always pull it out of the socket by holding the plug. Never remove the power cable by pulling the cable itself. This may damage the plug or cable and, in extreme cases, result in an electric shock.
11. Never leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.
12. Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid. Do not clean the appliance under a direct stream of water.
13. The appliance should be cleaned regularly following the recommendations outlined in the section on Cleaning and maintenance.

15. Exercise special caution when using the appliance with children or pets nearby.
16. Do not expose the appliance to weather conditions (rain, sunlight, etc.) or operate it in high humidity conditions (such as in the bathroom).
17. Regularly inspect the condition of the power cable. If the power cable becomes damaged, it should be replaced at the manufacturer's authorised service centre to prevent any potential hazards.
18. Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way, or it is not working properly. Do not attempt to

repair the appliance yourself, as there is a risk of electric shock. Take the defective device to a qualified service centre for inspection or repair. Repairs may only be undertaken by authorised service centres. An incorrectly performed repair can cause serious danger to the user.

  1. Use only original or manufacturer-recommended accessories. The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may damage the appliance and endanger the safety of the user.
  2. Place the device on a level, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains, drapes, wallpapers, etc.

  4. Do not obstruct the ventilation openings of the appliance, as this may lead to overheating and damage the appliance.
  5. Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance. Use protective gloves when handling or touching hot components.
  6. Avoid placing portions taking up too much space in the heating chamber of the appliance, as this may result in a fire and damage the appliance.
  7. Do not place cardboard, paper, plastic, or other flammable and fusible items in the appliance.
  8. Clean the appliance after each use. Wait approximately 30 minutes after the last use before cleaning.
  9. Do not use metal washers for cleaning the appliance. Broken pieces of wire can come into contact with electrical elements, posing a risk of electric shock.
  10. Because of high temperatures, exercise special caution when taking out cooked foods, removing hot fat or other hot liquids, and handling accessories and appliance components.
  11. Do not use metal cutlery or any other sharp cooking utensils, as they can scratch the non-stick layers in the basket and bowl.
  12. Do not fill the fryer bowl with oil or other fat. Knapper Chef Dual uses hot air for thermal food processing.
  13. Do not switch on the device with the tank filled with water or any other liquid.

Before first use

  1. Remove all cardboard boxes and protective film from the appliance.
  2. Wash the basket and the bowl with warm water and a mild detergent. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  3. Run the appliance for approximately 10 minutes at 200^ C. There may be an unpleasant smell coming from the appliance. This is normal during first use.

Operation

  1. Position the product on a flat stable surface that can withstand high temperatures.
  2. Holding the handle (6, Fig. A), pull the bowl (5,7, Fig. A) together with the metal tray (4, Fig. A) out of the body of the appliance.
  3. Prepare the products and put them on the tray inside the bowl. Insert the bowl into the body of the appliance. Important! Never operate the appliance without both bowls placed inside.
  4. Plug the appliance into a power source. Press the switch (1, Fig. B) to turn on the appliance. Pressing the button again will turn the appliance off.
  5. Press the bowl selection button (2,3, Fig. B) and then the manual setting button (24, Fig. B).
  6. Press the temperature up or down button (9, 10 or 9A, 10A, Fig. B, depending on the selected cooking zone) to set the desired operating temperature of the appliance. You can adjust the temperature in 5-degree increments within the range of 60^ C to 200^ C.
  7. Press the time up or down button (7, 8 or 7A, 8A, Fig. B, depending on the selected cooking zone) to set the desired cooking time. Pressing the button causes a change of 1 minute, with a range of 60 minutes available.

Important! The cooking chamber light will switch off 3 minutes after being activated. To switch it back on, press the backlight button (25, Fig. B).

  1. You can also use 10 automatic programmes for easy meal preparation: chips, sausage,

soft vegetables, fish, shrimp, chicken, cake, pizza, hard vegetables, scare ribs (14–23, Fig. 6). After selecting the bowl, press the desired programme and then push the Start / Pause button (6, Fig. 6). For detailed information about programmes, see the subsection "Automatic programmes".

  1. When the appliance is in operation, avoid coming close to the air outlet (3, fig. A) due to the risk of burns.
  2. If the bowl with the tray is removed to stir the ingredients while the appliance is running, its operation stops temporarily in the cooking chamber used. To resume the process, slide the bowl with the basket back into the appliance.
  3. After finishing cooking, take out the bowl from the appliance and transfer the meal to another container.

After the preset time has elapsed or the appliance has been switched off, it will start to cool down, beep, and then step.

Cooking in Sync Cook mode

This mode enables the preparation of two different dishes simultaneously. After switching on the appliance, press the SYNC COOK button, then choose: the cooking zone and the suitable mode. Confirm your selection by pressing SYNC COOK again. Select the second cooking zone and the desired mode. Complete the selection of settings by pressing the START/PAUSE button.

Cooking in Match Cook mode

In this mode, the appliance duplicates the cooking settings from one zone to the other. After switching on the appliance, select the cooking zone (I or II) and either set the temperature and cooking time or use one of the available automatic modes. Then press the MATCH COOK button to copy the settings. Pressing this START/PAUSE button saves the settings and begins the cooking process.

For cold food, extend the operating time of the appliance by approximately 3 minutes. It is recommended to stir the ingredients in the basket every 7-10 minutes.

CAUTION! The bow and the basket are very hot. Always place them on a heat-resistant surface. Use the handle to remove them from the body of the appliance.

Troubleshooting

Cleaning and maintenance

- Clean the appliance after each use. Before cleaning make sure the appliance has cooled down and has been disconnected from the power source.

• To clean the exterior of the appliance, use a damp cloth and a mild detergent.

- To clean the basket and bowl, use a soft sponge or cloth, a mild detergent, and warm water. Do not use metal or sharp tools for cleaning, as they may damage the Teflon coating.

- Parts of the appliance that come into contact with food can be washed in the dishwasher.
