3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER
General precautions during the use of electrical equipment
- Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
- Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
- Do not place or operate the Bluetooth speaker near water sources.
• Always place the appliance on to the flat and even surface. - The unit must be used only for the intended purposes. No liability is accepted for damages arising from improper use or wrong handling. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems in the appliance and cause injury to the user.
- This appliance is intended to be use used in household and similar applications.
- Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
- Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.
- Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.
- The device is not completely disconnected from the power source, even after it has been turned off. To disconnect it completely, disconnect it from the mains plug.
- The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Restrictions on use to avoid personal injury
- Do not place or operate this appliance near water sources.

- Do not leave the speaker charging longer than recommended by the manufacturer, as this may damage the battery or the speaker itself.
- Do not use the speaker while in charge, otherwise it may also damage the speaker.
- This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform servicing. Take the product to the electronics repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair.
- NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other openings in the unit's casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock.
- Don't mount this product on a wall or ceiling.
- Do not place the unit near TVs, speakers and other objects that generate strong magnetic fields.
- Do not leave the unit unattended when it is in use.
NOTE: To disconnect the system completely if it not to be used for a long time, remove the AC power plug from the wall outlet. - Do not drop, disassemble, deform, modify or insert any objects into holes of the speaker as it may result the product damage.
- Do not clean the product with alcohol, ammonia-based cleaners and abrasive cleaners.
- Do not place this product in to contact with any sharp objects as this may cause scratches and operating damage.
- Do not attempt to replace the product battery, it is built-in and is not user changeable.
- In case of speaker malfunction, or if it has been damaged in any manner, return it to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment. Keep the speaker away from direct sunlight, fire, or other high voltage equipment. WARNING: the device might get warm during charging. Always ensure the speaker is turned off when you plug and unplug the
device. If the device is not turned off you might damage the speaker or injure yourself.
- Place the unit where there is good ventilation. Place the system on a flat, hard and stable surface. Do not expose to temperatures above 40°C. Allow at least 30 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the unit and 5 cm from each side.
- Press the buttons of the unit gently. Pressing them too hard can damage the unit.
• Always ensure that the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet before moving or cleaning. Clean it with dry cloth only.
- Unplug the product during lightning, storms or when it will not be used for long periods of time.
- Observe all signs and displays that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be switch off in designated areas.
- Dispose of the product and the product's battery in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Dispose of used batteries in an environmental-responsible manner.

6. PRODUCT AND PANEL OVERVIEW:

1- Ex-Bass Button: Press this button to increase the bass effect.
2- 6.3mm MIC JACK: This is provided to connect the wired microphone.
3- 6.3mm Guitar Jack: This speaker has Guitar Input, with the help of this input option, we can connect the guitar to the speaker and play our own creations.
4- 3.5mm AUX in Jack: With the help of Auxiliar cable, you can connect any device like Radios, Cell phone, MP3 player or any other device and enjoy the content of your own choice.
5- USB Port: This speaker supports 32 GB USB pen drive. Once we insert the USB card into the slot, we can listen the music and songs saved in the USB pen drive.
6- STANDBY Button: Press and Hold the STANDBY button to turn ON/OFF the device.
7- MIC/Guitar Button: Press this button to select the MIC volume or to select Guitar Volume.
8- 10/M./FOLD. + Button: Press this button to tune to the next preset station. It is also provided to change the preset memory number. Press this button also to skip forward 10 tracks at once. In case of multiple folders stored in the USB drive, Press and hold this button to skip forward a folder.
9- Volume Knob: Rotate this knob to adjust the unit volume when it is connected with a Bluetooth device or in AUX mode.
10- PUN.+ Button: Tune to the next FM channel by pressing this button. Press and hold this button also to start auto tunning. This button is also used to tune to the next station that you want to save as a preset(e.g., 93.1). To select a desired track in forward direction, press this button until the desired track appears on the display. Press and hold this button while playing any track to go forward to a specific / desired passage of the current track. When the desired passage is displayed on the display, release the button. While searching for a specific track in a folder, press this button to select the next track.
11-PAIR/SCAN Button: Press and hold this button to scan for stations within reception range and save them to preset memory automatically. Press this button also if you want to pause or resume the playback. The playing time will flash on the display.
12- FUNC./TWS Button: If you want to change the functional mode of the speaker, press this button repeatedly to choose between BLUETOOTH/RADIO/AUX/USB function.
13- LIGHT/M./P-Mode Button: This speaker comes with 6 flashing modes for the DISCO LED lights. Press this button to choose the lighting mode you want. To turn OFF the lights, press this button until "LOFF" showed on the display. To save a station as Preset memory, press and hold this button the 'P-01' will flash on the display to indicate that you are saving the station as Preset Memory. Press and hold LIGHT/M./P-Mode Button to finish saving the station (e.g., P01 is now set to 93.1). For Repeat function, press and hold this button, the display will show ALL" and all the tracks on the USB will be played over and over again. This button is also used to repeat the current folder again and again by pressing and holding this button. For the function of Random play, press and hold this button until "RAN" shows on the display and then random play will start from the next track automatically. To cancel repeat play, press and hold this button until the OFF" shows from the display.
14- EQ/ECHO Button: For echo adjustment of Microphone, press and hold this button until EC ^TM shows, then rotate the MIC/Guitar knob to increase or decrease the echo effect. For equalizer function, press this button to select the best option you like from FLAT, POP, CLASSIC, JAZZ and ROCK.
15- RUN.- Button: Tune to the previous FM channel by pressing this button. Press and hold this button also to start auto tunning. This button is also used to tune to the previous station that you want to save as a preset(e.g., 93.1). To select a desired track in back direction, press this button until the desired track appears on the display. Press and hold this button while playing any track to go backward to a specific / desired passage of the current track. When the desired passage is displayed on the display, release the button. While searching for a specific track in a folder, press this button to select the previous track.
16- MIC/Guitar Volume Knob: To adjust the volume of Guitar / Microphone, rotate this knob accordingly to your desired level of volume. In the EQ/ECHO mode, rotate this knob to adjust the echo effect according to your comfort level.
17- 10/M./FOLD. – Button: Press this button to tune to the previous preset station. It is also provided to change the preset memory number. Press this button also to skip backward 10 tracks at once. In case of multiple folders stored in the USB drive, Press and hold this button to skip backward a folder.

19- LED Display: The Display is provided to show different information about functional modes, sound setting details and track number, etc.
20- Charging Indicator: When the device is plugged with charging cord, the indicator will turn RED. When the battery becomes fully charged, the indicator becomes GREEN.
21- Speakers: The device comes equipped with 2 speakers for the best audio experience.
22- Speaker Grill: The grill is provided for the safety of speaker output area to save the speakers from physical damage risk.
23- Decoration Light: These are the lights which flash as a DISCO colourful lights according to any mode of the 6 flashing modes.
24- FM antenna jack: Insert the wired antenna into the FM socket on the rear cabinet while on the FM mode. Extend the wired antenna to its full length in order to get the best reception of the FM signals.
25- Ventilation Hole: The Ventilation hole is provided for the heat dissipation of the device.
26- AC socket: Plug the AC power cord in this socket to supply the power to the device. After the device becomes fully charged, unplug the power cord from this socket to use the device on the battery mode.
Bluetooth Speaker Functions:
Before starting, make sure to charge the battery of the speaker fully before first time use as it enhances the lifespan of the battery.
Turing ON/OFF: After charging the battery, press and hold STANDBY button to turn ON/OFF the device. Note: In the USB/Bluetooth/AUX mode, when the unit is providing the main function for around 15 minutes, the unit will automatically switch into standby mode. Press and hold the STANDBY button to turn it ON again.
How to connect the device with the Bluetooth speaker?
Press the FUNC/TWS button to switch to BLUETOOTH function, the display will show "bt" at high speed. Turn on the Bluetooth in your electronic device with which you want to connect with. Make sure your device is visible to all the nearby devices. Search for the Bluetooth pairing name "SOGO SS-8965" on your device screen and once it appears, press it to connect with the speaker. If it requires the password, enter "0000" as password. The "bt" sign shows steadily to indicate the connection is done. The Bluetooth works best within 10 mtrs range in open space.
Setting the Function Mode:
To change the function modes, press the FUNC./TWS button repeatedly to choose between BLUETOOTH/RADIO/AUX/USB Function.
TWS functioning:
This speaker model has a function known as TWS (True wireless function). In this function, we can connect 2 speakers at the same time with the same device without any wired connection. This function helps to enhance the sound level and also helps to cover a big area for parties and functions. If you have 2 speakers, connect your electronic device with one of the units by Bluetooth function. This unit will become the master unit.
Turn on the second unit and switch to Bluetooth mode. Press and hold the "FUNC/TWS" button on the master unit, then these two units will connect automatically with a sound indicating that the connection is done and the master unit will show "tS r and the second unit will show "tS L" then these two units will become as a stereo output. Now you can enjoy the music and sound with more enhanced quality. After these both units have become as a stereo unit, you can control Equalizer, Volume, Play/Pause, Next and Previous track, Bass and light adjustment from both of the units.
To disconnect the stereo mode, press and hold FUNC/TWS button on any of the units to disconnect the TWS stereo mode. To disconnect the Bluetooth from the mobile, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE/PAIR/SCAN button on the Master unit.
Aux-In / Line-in:
With the help of Aux-In input you can connect all the musical devices such as Radios, Laptops, Televisions, and all the devices, which doesn't have Bluetooth connection function. Press the FUNC. /TWS button to select the ÄUX"mode. Connect your audio device to the AUX IN jack on the top panel of the unit with an AUX IN cable.(audio cable is not included). Rotate the VOL. knob on the unit or adjust the volume on the external device to increase or decrease the music volume to your desired level. With the help of device, you can play the music and songs of your choice. You can control the playback with your audio device.
Music with the help of USB operation:
This speaker has USB slot with the help of which, you can listen the music saved in your pen drive. To play the speaker in the USB mode, press the FUNC./TWS Button on the unit to select USB mode. Plug the USB pen drive to the USB port. Playback will start automatically from Track 1. In this mode, with the help of PLAY/PAUSE/SCAN button, music can be played or paused at any time and with the ◀◀/TUN.+ or ▶▶/TUN.- buttons, you can switch between the tracks until the desired track is appeared on the display.
To search for a particular passage in the currently playing track, press and hold 🐎/TUN.+ or 🐎/TUN.- button to scan the current playing track at high speed until desired point(passage) appears, then release the button for normal playback mode.
If your desired track is more than 10 tracks ahead or back from the current track, press the 10/FOLD./M.+ or 10/FOLD./M.- button to move 10 tracks forward or backward respectively. Then press ◀◀/TUN.+ or ▶▶/ TUN. – to select the desired track. If the USB contains more than 1 folder, press and hold 10/FOLD./M.+ or 10/FOLD./M.- button each time to skip forward / backward a folder, then press ◀◀/TUN.+ or ▶▶/TUN. – to select the desired track.
Note: The USB port is intended for data transfer only, other devices cannot be used with this USB connection. The use of USB extension cords is not recommended. Don't plug the USB from the unit when playing or reading the USB device.
FM Radio mode:
After turning the Bluetooth speaker ON, press FUNC/TWS button to select the FM mode and the display shows FM and radio frequency.
Note: The wired antenna is packed with the power cord as a separated accessory, insert the wired antenna into the FM socket on the rear cabinet when listening to the radio, and extend the wired antenna to its full length in order to get the best reception.
Tuning to a Radio Station:
If you know the radio station frequency that you want to tune to directly, Tune a station by pressing 🖼/TUN.+ or ▶/TUN.- button repeatedly. The station frequency will be shown on the display.
ress and hold the ◀/TUN.+ or ▶/TUN.- button to start tuning, tuning stops automatically when a station is received.
Auto Preset Memory / Scan:
To scan for stations within reception range and save them to preset memory automatically, press and hold PLAY/PAUSE/PAIR/SCAN button. After the unit is finished scanning, the unit will automatically tune to preset number 1 (P01). To tune to a preset station:
1- Press 10/M./FOLD.+ button to tune to the next preset station.
2- Press 10/M./FOLD.- button to tune to the previous preset station.
Manual Preset Memory Operation:
1- Use the /TUN.+ or /TUN.- button to tune the station that you want to save as a preset (e.g, 93.1).
2- Then press and hold the LIGHT./M./P-Mode button. "P01" will flash on the display to indicate that you are saving the station as Preset Memory 01 (To change the preset memory number, press 10/FOLD./M+ or 10/FOLD.M- buttons).
3- Press and hold LIGHT./M./P-Mode button to finish saving the station(e.g., P01 is now set to 93.1).
4- To save another station, repeat steps 1 to 3. You may save up to 30 FM stations.
Flashing Light:
There are 6 flashing modes for the DISCO LED lights. Press LIGHT/M./P-Mode button to choose between the light modes. To turn off the light, press LIGHT/M./P-Mode button until "LOFF" is showed on the display.
Adjustment of the Volume:
Unit volume: Rotate the VOLUME knob on the unit to increase or decrease the music volume.
Microphone Volume: Press the MIC/GTR button to choose the microphone volume, which shows "IU" and then rotate the MIC/GUITAR volume knob to increase or decrease the microphone volume.
Guitar volume: Press the MIC/GTR button to choose guitar volume, which shows "9U" and then rotate the MIC/GUITAR volume knob on the unit to increase or decrease the guitar volume.
BASS Adjustment: Press the EX BASS button on the speaker to achieve extra bass effect.
Equalizer(EQ) Function: This speaker has a built-in equalizer system. Press the EQ/ECHO button on the unit to select a setting that best matches your choice from FLAT, POP, CLASSIC, JAZZ and ROCK.
Microphone Echo Adjustment: Press and hold the EQ/ECHO button, which shows '' sign on the display and then rotate the MIC/Guitar volume knob to increase or decrease the echo effect. MIC Jack / Guitar Jack Operation:
Microphone / Guitar input is available in all the modes.
This speaker has a 6.3mm Microphone / Guitar input option available with the help of which, you can connect microphone / guitar. Press the MIC/GTR button to choose microphone/guitar volume, which shows IU"/ "9U" and then rotate the MIC/GUITAR volume knob on the speaker unit to increase or decrease the microphone/guitar volume. Press and hold EQ/ECHO button, which shows EC" and then rotate the MIC/GUITAR volume to increase or decrease the echo effect.
Repeat Play:
You can play one track or all the tracks on the USB repeatedly.
To repeat a Single Track: Press and hold LIGHT/M./P-Mode button on the unit, then the display will show ÖNE" and the current track will be played over and over again.
To repeat all the Tracks: Press and hold LIGHT/M./P-Mode button on the unit, then the display will quickly show ALL ^2 and all the tracks on the USB will be played again and again.
To repeat the Folder(only for USB which contains more than 1 folder): Press and hold LIGHT/M./P-Mode button on the unit until "FOLD" shows up on the display, then the current folder will be played again and again.
Random Play:
Press and hold LIGHT/M./P-Mode button on the unit until the "rAn" shows on the display, random play will start from the next track automatically.
7. CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Charging Instructions:
This unit has a built-in battery and to charge it, power cord is provided. In order to charge the battery, turn the unit OFF and insert the power cord in electrical wall outlet and connect it with the help of charging slot of the speaker. The indicator light will turn RED and it indicated the unit is charging.
Approximately charging time is 2.5 hours. Once the battery gets fully charged, the indicator will turn GREEN. To extend the battery life, make sure not to charge it for more than 4 hours.
Note: Play time depends on the type of music and volume, with 50% volume and normal music or sound, it work approx. 5.5 hours.
Inbuilt battery is not replaceable. Do not remove it or replace it on your own. In case of any issue, take it to the authorized service center to get it repaired. Also, make sure that at the time of charging, the battery charging cord input must be dry. Do not use the speaker while in charge as it might reduce its power.
8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
While cleaning the product, just use soft or dry cloth and in case of severe stains use the damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as it can damage the paint, plastic or even the speaker itself. Keep it away from sun light and do not keep it in hot and humid atmosphere. Make sure to remove the power adaptor cable and keep it in cool and dry place.
9. DISPOSAL OF ELECTRONIC GOODS
DISPOSAL OF BATTERY OPERATED UNITS
Do not dispose the battery operated units as normal rubbish, always these should be recycle in proper manner and according to the local municipal laws. You can recycle them by taking them to government authorized disposal centres or specialized bins which you can find in any nearby big super markets, electronics or electro domestics products stores or malls who have these types of facilities available.
