3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER

General precautions during the use of electrical equipment

• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
• Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
• Do not place or operate the Bluetooth speaker near water sources.
  • Always place the appliance on to the flat and even surface.
• The unit must be used only for the intended purposes. No liability is accepted for damages arising from improper use or wrong handling. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems in the appliance and cause injury to the user.
• This appliance is intended to be use used in household and similar applications.
• Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
• Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.
• Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.

- The device is not completely disconnected from the power source, even after it has been turned off. To disconnect it completely, disconnect it from the mains plug.

- The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

Restrictions on use to avoid personal injury

- Do not place or operate this appliance near water sources.

- Do not place or operate the appliance and its power cord on or near hot surfaces (e.g., stove plates, Ovens or Electric burners) or open flames.

- Do not leave the power cord hanging from sharp edges and keep away from hot objects and flames. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

- Never use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.

- The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

- When you want to remove the plug from the wall contact, please do this at the plug itself and not by pulling on the cable or the appliance itself.

- To avoid electric shock, make sure your hands are dry before plugging or unplugging.

- Do not use the device with wet hands, on damp floors or when the atmosphere is humid, there is a risk of electric shock.

- Never immerse the appliance or the plugin water or any other liquid. In the event of the appliance falling in water, disconnect immediately from the mains supply and take it to an authorized service agent for repair before reusing.

- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.

- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. In case of the cord be damaged, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid Hazard.

- In case of appliance malfunction, or if it has been damaged in any manner, return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

Restrictions on use when used with children and elders

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of the children.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Do not allow the children to use the appliance.
• Appliances can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Instructions to follow when using the appliance

• Do not leave the speaker charging longer than recommended by the manufacturer, as this may damage the battery or the speaker itself.
• Do not use the speaker while in charge, otherwise it may also damage the speaker.
• This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform servicing. Take the product to the electronics repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair.
• NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other openings in the unit's casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock.
• Don't mount this product on a wall or ceiling.
• Do not place the unit near TVs, speakers and other objects that generate strong magnetic fields.
• Do not leave the unit unattended when it is in use.
  NOTE: To disconnect the system completely if it not to be used for a long time, remove the AC power plug from the wall outlet.
• Do not drop, disassemble, deform, modify or insert any objects into holes of the speaker as it may result the product damage.
• Do not clean the product with alcohol, ammonia-based cleaners and abrasive cleaners.
• Do not place this product in to contact with any sharp objects as this may cause scratches and operating damage.
• Do not attempt to replace the product battery, it is built-in and is not user changeable.
• In case of speaker malfunction, or if it has been damaged in any manner, return it to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment. Keep the speaker away from direct sunlight, fire, or other high voltage equipment.

WARNING: the device might get warm during charging. Always ensure the speaker is turned off when you plug and unplug the

device. If the device is not turned off you might damage the speaker or injure yourself.

• Place the unit where there is good ventilation. Place the system on a flat, hard and stable surface. Do not expose to temperatures above 40^ C. Allow at least 30 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the unit and 5 cm from each side.
• Press the buttons of the unit gently. Pressing them too hard can damage the unit.
  • Always ensure that the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet before moving or cleaning. Clean it with dry cloth only.
• Unplug the product during lightning, storms or when it will not be used for long periods of time.
• Observe all signs and displays that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be switch off in designated areas.
• Dispose of the product and the product's battery in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Dispose of used batteries in an environmental-responsible manner.

6. PRODUCT AND PANEL OVERVIEW:

This panel is located on the top part of the speaker, with multiple buttons and functions we can manage multiple things from here.

1- 6.3mm MIC 1 Jack: This is the slot for microphone jack 1.
2- 6.3mm MIC 2 Jack: This is the slot for microphone jack 2.
3- 3.5mm AUX in Jack: With the help of Auxiliar cable, you can connect any device like Radios, Cell phone, MP3 player or any other device and enjoy the content of your own choice.
4- 5V --- 1A DC charging output: This USB port is provided as a charging output port for charging mobile / air pods / any other electronic device which works on 5V DC current.

5- TF CARD: This slot is provided to insert the TF card.

6- USB Port: This speaker supports 32 GB USB pen drive. Once we insert the USB card into the slot, we can listen the music and songs saved in the USB pen drive.

7- - ECHO +: This rotating knob is provided to control the Echo effect in microphone mode.

8- - DELAY +: This rotating knob is provided to adjust the DELAY of the sound output.

9- - TREBLE +: This knob is provided to adjust the TREBLE effect of the sound according to your own comfort.

10- - BASS +: This knob is provided to adjust the BASS effect of the sound output that suits best to your comfort.

11- This button is provided for RGB light mode. Long press this button to turn ON or OFF the light mode. Short press this button to select the desired light mode from 6 different light modes.

12- PRI / TWS: Press this button to activate or deactivate the microphone. Hold this button to switch ON or OFF TWS mode. Kindly note that echo cannot be useful while playing with Mic.

13- Press the key to switch between the different modes of BLUETOOTH/FM/TF CARD/AUX/USB. Kindly note that Bluetooth/FM/AUX should be switched on only when no USB/TF card is inserted because USB/TF card slot is given priority. Long press power ON or OFF the device.

14- 🎧: This button is provided to change between original and accompaniment of sound in Karaoke.

15- REC: Short press this button to do recording. Double press this button to play what the recording done and long press this button to delete the recording.

16- - MIC Volume +: Rotate this knob to adjust the Microphone volume.

17- - Volume +: Rotate this knob for adjusting the volume according to your own comfort.

18- Previous key:

In FM mode: press this key to return back to previous radio station. Press and hold in current frequency band for 3 seconds to search in backward direction semi automatically. In BT/TF/USB mode: short press this key to go back to previous track.

19- Play/Pause button:

In AUX mode: short press this button to mute / unmute. In BT/USB/TF mode: short press to pause/play, long press to disconnect the Bluetooth. In FM mode: Press and hold this button to search automatically for a radio station. Save all the stations found after preview and press this key also to mute or unmute.

20- Next Key:

In FM mode: press this key to move to next radio station. Hold this button at the current frequency band for 3 seconds to search in forward direction semi automatically. In BT/USB/TF mode: short press for the previous track.

How to use the Remote control:

1- The remote control is provided to operate and turn OFF the device. It can not turn the device ON. Press this button to turn off the device. The device can be turned ON by pressing and holding the source button on the Bluetooth speaker.

2- Press this button in USB/TF mode to switch between the folders.

3- Press the MODE button to switch between the different modes of BT/FM/TFAUX/USB. Kindly note that USB/TF card slot has been given the priority, so switch to AUX/BT/FM mode, when no USB/TF card is inserted.

4- This button is provided to increase the volume.

5- Previous key:

In FM mode: press this key to return back to previous radio station. Press and hold in current frequency band for 3 seconds to search in backward direction semi automatically.

In BT/TF/USB mode: short press this key to go back to previous track.

6- Next Key:

In FM mode: press this key to move to next radio station. Hold this button at the current frequency band for 3 seconds to search in forward direction semi automatically.

In BT/USB/TF mode: short press for the previous track.

7- Play/Pause button:

In AUX mode: short press this button to mute / unmute.

In BT/USB/TF mode: short press to pause/play, long press to disconnect the Bluetooth.

In FM mode: Press and hold this button to search automatically for a radio station. Save all the stations found after preview and press this key also to mute or unmute.

8- This button is provided to decrease the volume.

9- This button is provided to decrease the Microphone volume.

10- This button is provided to increase the Microphone volume.

11- Press this button to change the sound between original and Karaoke.

12- MIC/PRI: Short press this button to turn ON or OFF the Microphone priority Loop.

13- TWS: Short press this button to activate or deactivate TWS function. When the TWS function is paired, press this function to disconnect the TWS connection.

14- This button is provided to Mute or Unmute the speaker.

Bluetooth Pairing Mode:

Press "MODE" button on the remote controller or button on the Bluetooth speaker to switch into Bluetooth mode and at this moment, the Bluetooth light starts to blink slowly to search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Turn ON your mobile Bluetooth device and search for the device name SOGO SS-8955 to match them properly. When it is paired successfully, your phone is connected to the speaker system and the Bluetooth button lightens up. When the music starts to play, the Bluetooth light will lighten up. You can perform functions such as PLAY/PAUSE on the top panel. In Bluetooth mode, while connecting the mobile phone, long press button to disconnect the Bluetooth function forcefully.

NOTE: once your device is connected with the Bluetooth speaker, then there is not any need to reconnect it and whenever you will turn on the Bluetooth of your device it automatically connects with the speaker.

TWS functioning:

This speaker model has a special function, known as TWS (True wireless) function. In this function we can connect 2 speakers at the same time with the same device without any wired connection. This function helps to enhance the sound level and also helps to cover a big area for parties and functions.

To turn on the TWS function, switch on the 2 identical and same model speakers. Press the TWS button (short Press) to activate the TWS function and in no time both of the speakers will be connected to the device.

Now you can enjoy music and songs with enhance quality.

NOTE: to make the use of TWS function make sure the both of the speaker must be of same models and also need to have same Bluetooth pairing name.

Aux-In / Line-In

With the help of Aux-In input you can connect all the musical devices such as Radios, Laptops, Televisions, and all the devices, which doesn't have Bluetooth connection function.

To connect the devices, you need an audio cable and connect the one end to the speaker Aux-in and other side to the device which needed to connect and press mode button to bring the device in AUX in mode and device will connect with the speaker.

NOTE: In this mode all the functions, controlled by the external devise.

Music with the help of USB drive and Micro TF / SD card:

saved in your pen drive or memory card.

To play the speaker in USB drive mode / TF card mode, firstly switch on the speaker with the help of power button located on the back panel.

Insert the USB pen drive or micro-SD card into the corresponding slots, for this mode no need to choose the mode as just by inserting USB card / micro-SD card speakers automatically start to play saved music.

In this mode with the help of Play button music can be played or paused at any time, and with prev. and next button you can switch the songs from the song list saved into the external memory cards.

NOTE: Make sure while you insert the USB drive / Micro SD card the speaker must be in Bluetooth mode.

FM mode:

Press the power button to switch on the speaker and with the help of Mode button you can switch from Bluetooth mode to FM mode.

Press the "Play" button and speaker automatically start to search different FM channels and once receive the signal of the channel keep saving automatically.

Once all the FM channels be saved, you can search your favourite FM channels with the help prev. / next button and listen the music.

NOTE: IN FM mode, in order to get the better FM signal, please insert audio cable in Aux-in input and it works as antenna.

Recording function:

To use the recording function, make sure that the speaker have inserted USB pen drive or TF card. Turn on the speaker and plug in the microphone, once the microphone gets connected, your device is ready to record your voice.

Press the REC button to start the recording procedure and the same button you can use to stop the recording.

7. CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

This unit has inbuilt battery and to charge it this unit is provided with power adaptor of 15V, 2A.

In order to charge the battery turn off the unit and insert the power adaptor in electrical wall outlet, and connect it with the help of charging slot of the speaker. The indicator light will turn Red and it means unit is charging.

Approx. charging time is 4.5 Hours, once the battery get fully charged, the indicator light turn into green light.

To extend the battery life, make sure do not charge it more than 4-5 hours at a time.

NOTE: Play time depends on the type of music and volume, with 50% volume and normal music or sound it works approx. 5 hours.

Inbuilt battery is not replaceable, do not remove it or replace it on your own and in case of any issue take it to the authorized service center to get repair.

Also make sure at the time of charging the battery charging adaptor input must be dry.

Do not use the speaker while in charge as it might reduce the life of battery.

Make sure to remove the power adaptor cable and keep it in cool and dry place.

8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

While cleaning the product, just use soft or dry cloth and in case of severe stains use the damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as it can damage the paint, plastic or even the speaker itself. Keep it away from sun light and do not keep it in hot and humid atmosphere. Make sure to remove the power adaptor cable and keep it in cool and dry place.

9. DISPOSAL OF ELECTRONIC GOODS

Do not dispose the battery operated units as normal rubbish, always these should be recycle in proper manner and according to the local municipal laws. You can recycle them by taking them to government authorized disposal centres or specialized bins which you can find in any nearby big super markets, electronics or electro domestics products stores or malls who have these types of facilities available.

Note: If the Remote control is not working, it may be because the batteries of the remote control are discharged / used completely.
