Frequently Asked Questions - SC 30 Novus

What types of batteries can I charge with the Novus SC 30?
The charger is designed for Li-Ion batteries of the CAS (Cordless Alliance System) from 12 V to 18 V, with a capacity of 1.3 Ah to 10 Ah (3-10 cells). Never charge non-rechargeable batteries.
How do I charge a battery with the SC 30?
Push the battery fully onto the sliding seat (2) until it stops. The power display (3) flashes during charging. Once charging is complete, the light stays on steadily.
What does a permanently lit warning light (red) mean?
This indicates that the battery is not being charged due to temperature too high or too low. If the battery temperature is between 0°C and 50°C, charging starts automatically.
What should I do if the warning light flashes?
Flashing means the battery is defective or incorrectly inserted. Immediately remove the battery from the charger and check that it is pushed fully onto the sliding seat.
Can I leave the battery on the charger after charging?
Yes. The charger automatically switches to maintenance charge when the battery is full. The battery can remain in place and is always ready to use.
Is the charger suitable for outdoor use?
No, it is intended for indoor use only. Protect it from moisture and do not expose it to rain.
What safety precautions are there for children?
Children must not use the device. Keep them away from the charger and the work area. Store the charger out of their reach.
