Intended use
The fan is designed exclusively for the ventilation of dry rooms.

It is intended exclusively for private use and is not suitable for commercial use.
Only use the fan as described in these operating instructions.
- Only use this appliance in accordance with the guidelines in the operating instructions. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
- Remove the packaging and make sure that the appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact the service center or your dealer.
- Keep children away from packaging materials. There is a choking hazard if swallowed!
- If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service centre in order to avoid all possible risks.
- Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage match the specifications on the appliance rating plate.
- The electrical socket into which you connect the appliance must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably earthed.
- Avoid using an extension cable, as this could overheat and cause a fire.
- It is forbidden to adapt or modify the characteristics of this appliance in any way and only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer (failure to do so will invalidate the guarantee and warranty).
- If the device is defective, switch it off and contact your dealer or the customer hotline.

- For any repairs to the appliance, mains plug or cable, always and only contact customer service centers authorized by the manufacturer. You can find the customer service centers online at www.becool.at.
- Children under the age of 8 and persons with reduced physical, mental, sensory or intellectual capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge may only use this appliance if they have been given supervision and instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if the hazards involved have been clearly explained.
- Do not operate the appliance unattended. If you leave the room, always switch the appliance off.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Do not twist or kink the mains cable.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not use the device outdoors.
- Never operate the appliance in rooms where gas, oil or sulphur are present.
- Do not use the appliance near water or high humidity, e.g. in damp cellars, next to swimming pools, bathtubs or showers. Ensure that no water enters the appliance.
- Do not place any objects on the appliance.
- Place the appliance on a stable and level surface.
- Never cover the device.
- Never insert fingers, pens or other objects into the appliance and ensure that the air inlet and outlet are never blocked.
- Always switch off the appliance before unplugging_the mains plug.

- Do not pull on the mains cable to disconnect the appliance from the mains. Always pull the plug to disconnect the mains cable.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shocks.
- Unplug the appliance when not in use, before cleaning, maintenance or moving from one place to another.
- Keep the appliance in good condition by maintaining and cleaning it. If you have any questions about maintenance, you can contact the customer hotline/service center authorized by the manufacturer.
- Keep and store the appliance in a safe, dry place that is inaccessible to children when it is not in use.

Technical information
If the fan is not used for a longer period of time, store it in its original packaging in a dry place. Before using it again, make sure that the fan is clean and that the fan blades can move freely (without the device being connected to the power supply).

Assembly
Mounting the base
- Remove all parts from the packaging and place the base on the floor.
- Unscrew the metal washer and the locking lever from the lower end of the stand.
- Turn the stand over and slide the opening in the middle of the fan base over the stand. Place the metal washer on the black weight.
- Insert the threaded end of the locking lever into the hole in the washer and through the base into the lower end of the stand. Turn the locking lever clockwise to secure the base to the pedestal and tighten it.
- Turn the base over and place it on the floor.
- Loosen the height adjustment ring and lengthen or shorten the extension tube to adjust the height of the fan. Once the fan has reached the desired height, tighten the height adjustment ring. Note: The fan must be switched off during this adjustment.
- Place the fan housing on the extension tube and tighten the housing fastening knob.
Mounting the rotor blade and grille
- Remove and discard the plastic sleeve on the motor shaft. Position the rear grille in front of the motor housing through the motor shaft. Ensure that the handle on the rear grille is pointing upwards and that all guide pins of the motor housing are aligned with the recesses in the rear grille.
- Fasten the rear grille with the fastening nut. Tighten the nut firmly onto the motor housing by turning it clockwise.
- Mount the appropriate fan blade on the motor shaft. The blade with a round central hole fits on the round motor shaft, another blade with a non-circular central hole fits on the non-circular motor shaft.
- Place the corresponding blade cap on the motor shaft after the fan blade.
- Secure the cap by tightening it counterclockwise.
- Place the front grille against the rear grille by aligning the markings on the top of the grilles. Close the grilles with the hook on the front grille and the tab on the rear grille and tighten the four screws supplied to secure the grilles.
- Check the correct rotation of the fan blade

Preparing the remote control - Inserting or replacing the battery
Please note the following instructions:
Initial operation:
To use the remote control for the first time, pull the plastic cover out of the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
Change the battery:
Pull out the battery holder on the back of the remote control and remove the old battery from the holder:

Now insert a new CR2025 battery and always pay attention to the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery and the battery holder.
Then push the battery holder all the way back into the remote control.
Note: If you do not use the remote control for a longer period of time (4 weeks or longer), remove the batteries from the remote control.

Control panel and display

Functions and operation
CAUTION: Ensure that the product is fully assembled before connecting it to a power socket.
Place the fan on a flat, level and stable surface.

Plug the end of the adapter into the power socket on the back of the appliance. Connect it to a 220-240V~50/60Hz socket. The appliance beeps and switches to standby mode.
The appliance can be operated using the push buttons on the control panel or with the remote control supplied.
- On/Off button
Press the 'On/Off' button to switch the fan on. The fan starts at the standard comfort speed (5). Press the button again to switch the fan off.
- Speed levels

Press the 'Speed' button on the control panel to switch through 12 speed levels. The currently selected speed is shown on the display. You can set the desired speed
using the ^ + or 一 ^ 一
buttons on the remote control.
Press the "Min", "Max" or "Comfort" buttons on the remote control to switch
the fan directly to the minimum speed (1), the maximum speed (12) or the comfort speed (5).
- Oscillation button
Press the "Oscillation" button on the control panel or on the remote control supplied to activate 45^ / 90^ oscillation to ensure wide air distribution. The corresponding displays light up one after the other. Press the button again to stop the oscillation.
Note: If you switch off the fan while it is in oscillation mode, the fan housing will automatically return to its original position.
- TIMER button

Press the "TIMER" button on the control panel to set the time in increments of 1 hour up to a maximum of 15 hours. The display lights up and the set time is displayed. After 3 seconds, the display shows the fan speed again.
Press the "TIMER" button on the remote control and then the "+" or "-"

buttons to set the desired time. After the set time has elapsed, the fans switches off automatically.
- Display dimming function
The display dims automatically if no operation is performed within 2 minutes and shows 30% of the original brightness. The display returns to full brightness as soon as a button is pressed again.
Unplug the fan when it is not in use.
Improved air circulation
This fan has two functions that allow you to adjust the air comfort to your liking and improve the air circulation in the room:
Oscillation function
Activate the swivel function to enable wide air distribution.
Height adjustment
To adjust the height of the fan, loosen the height adjustment ring. Lengthen or shorten the extension tube to increase or decrease the height of the fan. Once the fan has reached the desired height, tighten the height adjustment ring.
Care and cleaning
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Switch the appliance off before cleaning and always disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
- DO NOT immerse the device in water or spray it with other liquids.
- DO NOT use solvents or other chemical products for cleaning. Store the fan in a dry place when not in use.
- If you no longer use the fan at the end of the season, wipe off the dust to keep it in good condition for the next season. If necessary, dismantle the grille and remove the fan; clean it with a soft, damp cloth.

WARRANTY
With this quality product from BE COOL, you have made a decision for innovation, durability and reliability.
For this BECOOL appliance we grant a warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase valid in Austria!
If, contrary to expectations, service work on your device should nevertheless be necessary during this period, we hereby guarantee you a free repair (spare parts and labor) or (at Schuss's discretion) replacement of the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a time value credit note.
In the case of air conditioners, please always contact the customer hotline as a first step (see sticker on the appliance or the front page of the operating instructions); in the case of fans, please contact your specialist dealer or us directly. We would like to point out that any repair work not carried out by an authorized workshop in Austria will immediately invalidate this guarantee.
This guarantee does not cover

Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear
- Damage due to non-compliance with the operating instructions
Devices that are used - even partially - for commercial purposes
- devices mechanically damaged by external influences (fall, impact, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as signs of wear and tear of an aesthetic nature.
Devices that have been handled improperly
Devices that have not been opened by our authorized service workshop.
- Damage caused by improperly closed condensation drain valves on air conditioning units or incorrectly inserted water tanks.
Unfulfilled consumer expectations.
- Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, overvoltage.
Devices where the type designation and/or serial number on the device has been changed, deleted, made illegible or removed.
- services outside our authorized workshops, the transport costs to an authorized workshop or to us and back, as well as the associated risks.
We would like to emphasize that within the warranty period, a lump sum of € 60,- (indexed based on CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged for operating errors or if no error was detected.
The provision of a warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
The 2-year guarantee is only valid on presentation of the proof of purchase (must include the name and address of the dealer and the full name of the appliance) and the corresponding guarantee certificate, on which the appliance type and the serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the appliance) must be noted! Without the warranty certificate, only the statutory warranty applies!
We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this guarantee and remain unaffected.
Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in the event of gross negligence or intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but unrealized savings, consequential damages and damages from third party claims is excluded. Damage to or for recorded data is always excluded from the liability for damages.
