Intended use

This appliance is intended exclusively for heating living spaces in households and must not be used for any other purpose.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON SAFETY, STANDARD AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

1. Only use this appliance in accordance with the guidelines in the operating instructions. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.

2. Caution - Some parts of the product can become very hot and cause burns. Special care must be taken when children and vulnerable persons are present. Always allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning or dismantling it.

3. Remove the packaging and make sure that the appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your dealer.

4. Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage match the specifications on the appliance rating plate.

5. The electrical socket into which you connect the appliance must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably earthed.

6. Avoid using an extension cable, as this could overheat and cause a fire.

7. The appliance must not be installed directly under a wall socket. If in doubt, have your electrical installation checked by a qualified electrician.

8. It is prohibited to adapt or modify the properties of this appliance in any way whatsoever. Only use replacement parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer (failure to do so may invalidate the warranty).

9. Do not use this heater if it shows visible signs of damage.

10. Do not operate the appliance unattended. If you leave the room, always switch off the appliance.

11. Do not use the device in small rooms where people are present who are unable to leave the room independently, unless they are constantly monitored.

12. Children must not play with the appliance.

13. Children under the age of 3 must be kept away from the appliance unless they are constantly supervised.

14. Children aged 3 years and under and younger than 8 years may only switch the appliance on and off if they are

supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers, provided that the appliance is placed or installed in its normal position of use. Children aged 3 years and younger than 8 years must not insert the plug into the socket, regulate the appliance, clean the appliance and/or carry out user maintenance.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
2. Keep children away from packaging material. Choking hazard if swallowed!
3. This appliance is not equipped with a device for regulating the room temperature.
4. The appliance is not suitable for continuous and precision operation.
5. Do not use this heater if it has been dropped.
6. This appliance is only intended for use in dry indoor areas.

7. Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of water or high humidity, e.g. in a damp cellar, next to a swimming pool, bathtub or shower. Ensure that no water can penetrate the appliance.

8. Do not use the appliance in the direct vicinity of petrol, gas, oil, alcohol or other explosive and highly flammable liquids or gases.

9. To reduce the risk of fire, keep the air outlet of the appliance at least one metre away from all highly flammable substances, such as e.g:

a. pressurised vessels (e.g. spray containers)

b. Furniture and textiles of any kind

1. Only use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface.
2. Never cover the appliance during operation and the cool-down phase.
3. Ensure that no objects touching the heating surface get between the appliance and the mounting wall.
4. Always switch off the appliance before disconnecting the mains plug.
5. Unplug the appliance when not in use, before cleaning or when maintenance is required. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision. Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shocks.

The symbol on the appliance indicates that it is not permitted to hang objects (e.g. towels, clothing, etc.) above the appliance or directly in front of it. The heater must not be covered in order to avoid overheating and the risk of fire!

Recycling, disposal, declaration of conformity

	RECYCLINGThe packaging materials can be recycled. It is therefore recommended to dispose of them in sorted waste
	DISPOSALThe "crossed-out wheelie bin" symbol requires the separate disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Electrical and electronic equipment can contain hazardous and environmentally harmful substances. Therefore, do not dispose of them in unsorted residual waste, but at a designated collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment. Installing and using the SHX Radiator Oil-free is quick and easy:

Installation

Please attach the feet and castors to the underside of the housing on the heater and secure them with the 5 ST4x12mm screws supplied.

Please follow the instructions for setting up the appliance in the safety instructions very carefully.

These heaters are intended exclusively for domestic use.

Inserting / replacing the batteries in the remote control

SN CR2025 OPEN ↑ PUSH

Open the battery cover on the underside of the remote control, press the buckle on the battery cover inwards and pull it out, remove the battery fuse strip. Please pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-).

To replace the battery, please follow the steps below:

• Open the battery cover on the underside of the remote control, press the buckle on the battery cover inwards and pull it out, remove the old battery.
• Please ensure correct polarity (+/-) Only use CR2025 batteries and dispose of the old batteries in an environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with the regulations in your country.
• Slide the battery cover on the underside of the remote control back into the remote control.

Take care not to bend the contacts. Insert the new battery and close the battery compartment cover.

NOTE

If you do not use the remote control for an extended period of time (4 weeks or longer), remove the batteries from the remote control.

Operating the control panel and remote control

Insert the power plug into a suitable AC mains socket with the same voltage as specified on the rating plate.

The touchscreen buttons on the device correspond to the functions of the remote control:

2. heating stage
3. on/off switch
4. temperature button
5. timer button

Performance function

Before operating the radiator, you should switch on the switch in the cable storage tank.

Press " " to set functions. The upper part of the display shows the room temperature.

Mode

Press "Low" select between the low/high heating levels. The " " symbol lights up in white, which means that the appliance is in "Low" heating mode, and in red when the appliance is in "High" heating mode.

Temperature selection

Press the "button to select the desired target temperature in the range of 10°-45°C. The temperature display lights up for a longer period of time. After operation, the display shows the room temperature again after a few seconds.

Timer

Press the timer button "to select the desired time range between 1 hour and 24 hours.

Childproof lock

Press buttons " ", " + " simultaneously, then the "CL" symbol appears on the screen, which means that the childproof lock is activated so that the appliance can no longer be operated. To remove the child lock function again, repeat the procedure on the remote control or control panel.

Automatic screen dimming

If the device is not operated for longer than 3 minutes, the screen display is dimmed by 50% compared to the normal state.

Frost protection function

The appliance has a frost protection function and can only be activated via the remote control using

the "Button. The "Fr" symbol indicates that the frost protection function is activated. In this mode, the appliance starts to heat up at the low heating level when the room temperature falls below 5 degrees Celsius and stops operating as soon as the room temperature is above 5 degrees Celsius.

You can deactivate the frost protection function by pressing the "button" on the remote control again or by touching any button on the control panel. The "FR" symbol disappears from the display.

Operating the remote control

Insert the power plug into a suitable socket.

The touchscreen buttons on the product have the same functions as the remote control:

1. on/off switch
2. "+" button for temperature and timer
3. "-" button for temperature and timer
4. frost function button

Location and connection

Remove all packaging material and keep it out of the reach of children. After removing the packaging, check the appliance for damage or signs of a fault, defect or malfunction and do not use the heater if it is damaged. Place the heater on a flat surface.

Screw the feet and castors firmly to the heater before use, see chapter "Installation".

Please be sure to observe the intended use and the safety instructions!

ATTENTION

Only use the heater when it is placed on a level surface and the feet and castors are attached to the underside.

Any other position is dangerous!

Protective device

The SHX Radiator Oil-free is equipped with a protective device to protect the appliance and prevent the risk of fire.

Please note that the mechanisms are not an auto-stop or other comfort function. Always switch off the appliance, disconnect the mains plug and wait until the fan heater has cooled down before moving, cleaning or storing the appliance.

NOTE

If the device cannot be put into operation or if the safety device is triggered again, switch the radiator off again and contact an SHX service centre.

Anti-tip protection

As soon as the appliance is tilted a few degrees from its vertical position, you lift the appliance or accidentally knock it over, the tilt protection is triggered and the appliance switches off. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply, wait a few minutes, reconnect it and operate it as usual.

ATTENTION

• The radiator must not be immersed in or come into contact with water or other liquids.
• Never use petrol, alcohol or solvents to clean the appliance - this could be dangerous.
• Do not spray insecticides or similar agents on the radiator.
• Do not use in damp rooms.
  • DO NOT COVER - FIRE HAZARD!

Cleaning instructions

Before cleaning the appliance, switch off the convector, disconnect the mains plug and then wait until the appliance has cooled down completely.

Cleaning

• Clean the appliance with a soft, moderately damp cloth and then wipe it with a dry cloth.
• To remove dust, use a hoover for the air inlets and outlets.

With this quality product from SHX, you have made a decision in favour of innovation, durability and reliability.

This SHX device is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase in Austria and Germany!

If, contrary to expectations, service work on your device should nevertheless be necessary during this period, we hereby guarantee you a free repair (spare parts and labour) or (at Schuss's discretion) replacement of the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a time value credit note.

In any case, please contact the customer hotline as a first step (see instructions for use - "Contact addresses for further information and service line").

Please note that any repair work carried out by unauthorised workshops will immediately invalidate this warranty.

This guarantee does not cover

• Damage due to non-compliance with the operating instructions
• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear
  • Devices that are used - even partially - for commercial purposes
  • Devices mechanically damaged by external influences (fall, impact, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as signs of aesthetic wear and tear
  • Devices that have been handled improperly
  • Devices that have not been opened by our authorised service workshop
• Unfulfilled consumer expectations
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, overvoltage
• Devices for which the type designation and/or serial number on the device has been changed, deleted, made illegible or removed

We would like to emphasise that a lump sum of € 60 (indexed based on CPI 2015, June 2020) will be charged within the warranty period in the event of operating errors or if no error is detected.

The provision of a warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) does not extend the absolute< warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The 2-year guarantee is only valid on presentation of the proof of purchase (name and address of the dealer as well as the complete device designation must be included) and the corresponding guarantee certificate, on which the device type and the serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the device) must be noted! If the warranty certificate is not presented, only the statutory warranty applies!

We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this guarantee and remain unaffected.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in the event of gross negligence or wilful intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but unrealised savings, consequential damage and damage arising from third-party claims is excluded.
