Caution: Hot surface!
Risk of burning! Do not touch the product's hot
surfaces. Heat rises from the product during use.
- This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they are being supervised or have been instructed concerning the usage of the product in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the product.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep the product and its power supply cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
- This product can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are being supervised or have been instructed concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Safety Instructions
- The product is designed for the preparation of normal household quantities in the home, or in household-like, non-commercial environments. Household-like environments include staff kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other small businesses or for use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities.
- Do not overfill the product. Boiling water may spurt out.
- Warning! Never open the lid while the water is boiling.
- Use the product only with the base provided.
- The product must not be immersed in water or other fluids for cleaning.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Warning! Avoid spillage on the connector.
- Caution! The heating element as well as the surfaces of the glass jug are subject to residual heat after use.

- Read this user manual thoroughly before first use and pass it on with the product. Pay attention to the warnings on the product and in this user manual. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the equipment.

- Only unplugging from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
- Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
- Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources such as ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.

- Always leave sufficient space around the product. Boiling water can cause serious scalding.
- Do not move or transport the product while in operation or if it contains hot water. There is a risk of burns caused by spurting hot water.
- Operate the product only if it is filled with water. The boil-dry protection prevents overheating if the kettle is empty.
- This product is not intended for the heating of liquids other than water.

Thank you for your purchase of a KOENIC product. Please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
Intended use
This product is designed for heating water. Any other use may result in damage to the product or injuries.
The Imtron GmbH assumes no liability for damage to the product, for property damage or for personal injury due to careless or improper usage of the product, or usage of product which does not meet the manufacturer's specified purpose.
Before first time use
- Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center.
- Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately.
- Fill the kettle with water to the MAX level and operate it. Repeat this process 5 times. This will remove any residues remaining from the manufacturing process.
After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care.
Disposal

Do not dispose of this product as unsorted municipal waste. Return it to a designated collection point for the recycling of WEEE.
By doing so, you will help to conserve resources and protect the environment. Contact your retailer or local authorities for more information.

Use Boiling water
Fig. 1 Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet. Always remove the kettle from the base before adding water.
Fig. 2 Easy fill function: Simply fill without opening the lid. Please note that the water has to be aimed directly at the middle.
Fig. 3 Alternatively, you can also remove the lid for filling. Then put the cover back on. Make sure it clicks into place correctly.

Attention
If the lid is hot, there is a risk of burns if touched.

Warning - risk of burns
Never open the lid during the boiling process and do not remove the kettle from the base while it is boiling.
Fig. 7 As soon as the water boils, the kettle switches off automatically. Two beeps sound and the LED indicators on the bottom turn off.
Fig. 8 You can interrupt the boiling process manually at any time. Press the on/off switch and you will hear a beep.
Temperature preselection function
- Place the kettle on the base. Two beeps sound and all temperature displays light up briefly and then turn into standby mode.
Fig. 9 Press the on/off switch. Set the desired temperature with the temperature selection switch. The set temperature display lights up and the heating process begins.
Depending on the preset temperature, the operating indicators light up:
- green at 50^ C ,
- blue at 70^
- purple at 80^
and dark blue at 90^
Note:
You can change the temperature at any time during operation.
- As soon as the water has reached the set temperature, the kettle switches off automatically. Two beeps sound and the LED operating indicator turns off.
Keep warm function

Note:
It is not possible to keep it warm at 100^ .
Depending on the preset temperature, the operating indicators light up:
- green at 50^ C ,
blue at 70^
purple at 80^ and dark blue at 90^

Turn off
- You can cancel any process prematurely. To do this, press the on / off switch.

Caution
Do not open the lid when boiling water, especially not, when steam is emitted from the spout.
Note:
Boil-dry protection
Never turn on the product when it is empty. If the unfilled water kettle is switched on accidentally, the boil-dry protection automatically shuts off the product. In this case, wait 15 minutes before filling with water again to allow the product to cool down.
Cleaning and care

Warning
- Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water (except when filling the kettle, see chapter Boiling water).
- When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s).
Fig.14 Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly. Make sure that no water enters the device interior (for example, through the switch) or the base.
Dscaling
- Descale your product regularly depending on your water's lime content and frequency of use.
- Use an off-the-shelf decalcifier and follow the provided instructions.

As an alternative, you can descale your product with a vinegar solution:

Pour 30 ml of white wine vinegar into the kettle and fill the kettle half-full with water.
- Boil the solution and let it soak for a minute. Repeat this process three times.
- Pour the solution down the drain and rinse the kettle thoroughly with water.
- Fill the kettle with fresh, clean water. Bring to a boil and pour this water down the drain. To get rid of the smell of vinegar, repeat this step several times.
