CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR

  • Make sure the voltage indicated on the appli- ance corresponds to your local mains voltage.
  • For safety reasons, this class I appliance is pro- vided with a plug with earth connection.Always connect this appliance to a mains socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by per- sons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experi- ence and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualied person in order to avoid hazard.
  • WARNING: Do not immerse appliance in water. Danger of electric shock.
  • If the kettle is overlled, boiling water may be ejected.
  • Only use the appliance with the stand and lter provided. Switch o the appliance before removing the kettle from its stand.
  • Appliance intended to be used in household and similar applications such as sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other working environ- ments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environment, bed and breakfast type environments.
  • This appliance is only intended for heating or boiling water. Do not heat or boil any other liquids or food, in order to avoid hazardous situations.

  • Never turn the appliance on when empty. In case the empty kettle is switched on acciden- tally, the overheating protection will cut it o automatically. In such case, allow the kettle to cool down for 15 minutes before lling again with water.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended while turned on or plugged in.
  • Do not use the appliance in explosive or am- mable environments.
  • Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels con- taining water.
  • Ensure the lid is closed before starting opera- tion.13

1. Unplug the kettle from the mains sup-

ply and allow it to cool down.

2. Empty the kettle, open the lid, lift out the

lter and rinse it under warm water.

3. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents.

4. Ret in reverse order.

Before first time use Fill the kettle with water to the MAX level and operate it. Repeat this process 2-3 times. This will remove any residues remaining from the manufacturing process. Descaling

1. Fill the kettle with water.

2. Add the juice of one lemon.

3. Boil the mixture, reboil it and allow it to

stand for 15 minutes. Reboil a third time, then empty and rinse the kettle. Using the kettle
