Frequently Asked Questions - AAF7SB AEG

How to start Air Fry cooking?
Place the appliance on a flat surface. Remove the drawer, insert the grid, put the food (max indicator). Replace the drawer, plug in, press On/Off, select Air Fry, set temperature and time, then press Start/Pause.
How to use the steam function?
Fill the removable water tank with purified/distilled water (not tap water to avoid scale). Replace it, then select the Steam function on the control panel. Adjust the time (default 10 min at 100°C) and start.
Why does white smoke come out of the appliance?
This may be due to too greasy food or residues in the drawer. Check that the drawer and grid are clean. If the food is greasy, drain them before cooking. A first use may also produce slight smoke until manufacturing residues burn off.
What to do if the display shows E1 or E2?
Codes E1 and E2 indicate a thermostat problem. Unplug the appliance and contact an authorized service center. Do not attempt to repair yourself.
How to clean the appliance?
Unplug and let cool. Clean the drawer and grid with warm water and dish soap or in the dishwasher. Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth. For the heating element, use a cleaning brush after cooling. Use the Steam Cleaning function periodically: fill the water tank and run the cycle, then repeat with vinegar and finally with clear water.
Can I use tap water?
It is strongly recommended to use purified or distilled water to avoid scale buildup, especially in hard water areas. Tap water can damage the appliance in the long run.
What is the maximum filling capacity?
Do not exceed the MAX line indicated in the drawer. For frozen fries, the maximum capacity is 800 g. For other foods, consult the cooking guide.
How to dehydrate food?
Place the food in a single layer (do not overlap). Select the Dehydrate function, set the temperature (e.g., 80°C) and time (0.5 to 5 hours). Turn the food every 30 to 60 minutes. Use the preset Vegetables mode or set manually.
What does the shake reminder mean?
The shake reminder is a blinking icon and a beep to remind you to shake or turn the food halfway through cooking (active on some preset modes like Frozen Fries). This reminder is optional: cooking continues even if you do not do it.
How to replace the water tank?
Lift the water tank located on top of the fryer. Unscrew the cap, fill with purified/distilled water, screw tightly, then replace the tank by snapping it in correctly. Make sure the water collector at the bottom is not too full.
