Thank you for purchasing HYDRO CARE by Lanaform®.

This bubble bath includes a brush with two interchangeable massage attachments and a headrest.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Safety devices

The HYDRO CARE device by LANAFORM® complies perfectly with all appropriate electrical safety standards. These devices are listed below.

Safety fuse in the device.

Implement conceived to interrupt the main power supply immediately if a problem arises.

Long power cord

The adapter must be connected to a bathroom plug which is far enough from any place with water to avoid a short circuit or an electric shock. The unit is equipped for this purpose with a long power cord.

Wall mounting

The long flexible air supply allows the unit to be mounted on a wall in complete safety, at a sufficient distance from the tub or any other water point.

When using the electrical device, the following safety precautions should always be followed in order to reduce the risk of electric shock, bodily harm and fire. Read these instructions carefully before any use and keep it nearby for later consultation or in case of use by new users.

- ALWAYS verify the power plug before every use.

- NEVER touch the power plug, cord or main unit with wet hands or when you are taking your bath.

• We recommend that you connect this unit to a power outlet located outside the bathroom.

- Do not cover unit.

- Do not use the bath mat in tanks or inflatable swimming pools.

- Keep all electrical devices out of the reach of children and store them in a safe place.

- This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or by persons lacking experience or knowledge, unless they could are supervised or receive prior instructions regarding the use of the device from another person responsible for their security. Children must be supervised to make sure they do not play with the device.

• To avoid risk of electric shock, never submerge the main unit, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

- Never try to catch an apparatus which has fallen in water. Disconnect the power in the area immediately and unplug the device. Do not reuse.

- Avoid putting the device in any place where the power cable could be incidentally severed.

- Make sure that the device is in the OFF position before connecting it to the main power supply.

- Do not move the device by the cord; do not pull on the power cord to unplug.

- Do not use this device if the plug is damaged. Repairs should be made by a qualified electrician.

- If the device stops suddenly or if its functioning seems faulty, unplug and stop any use immediately.

- Never leave the device unsupervised when it is connected to the main power supply.

- Unplug the device if it is not in use and before cleaning it.

• Keep the device and cable away from heat, blunt objects or any element likely to cause damage.
• Remove all particles from the vent holes and do not cover the device.
• Never drop and never insert objects in the holes.
• To disconnect the unit, make sure the device is turned off, then unplug from the power outlet.
  • Always let the bath mat dry before storing.
• Do not use outdoors. This device is intended for inside use only.
• Use this apparatus only following the indications of this booklet.
• If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an approved repair company or by any qualified person, to avoid all risks.

WARNINGS

1. Non foaming bath oils and mineral salts can be used; please test first a small amount and then increase the quantity progressively if necessary.
2. Use the bath mat only for its intended use, as described in the present guide.
3. If you suffer from a pathological condition such as varicose veins, certain skin disorders, etc, or if you are pregnant, please consult your doctor before any use of this device.

How to change the remote control's batteries

The remote control works with a flat type CR2032 3V battery (provided with the device).

Operating mode:

• To change the battery, please use a flathead screwdriver (not provided) with good breadth.
• Place the tip of screwdriver in the slit located at the back of the remote control.
• Turn your screwdriver counter clockwise so that the triangle facing the symbol representing a closed padlock is in front of the opened padlock symbol.
• Remove and change the battery, reverse steps to close the battery compartment.

a) INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Mounting instructions

The main unit is a wall type unit, which guarantees complete electrical safety.

Note: if you have doubts regarding the correct positioning or mounting of the device, always consult a qualified electrician.

Positioning of the main unit

We recommend the unit be mounted to the wall, in upright position, at least one metre from the tub and at a height of 1.8-meters in comparison with the floor. The main unit must be positioned in an inaccessible place for any person in the tub.

It MUST be permanently mounted to the wall.

IMPORTANT

Main unit must under no circumstances be mounted to a place from which it could fall in the bath, the sink or the toilet.

We recommend that you connect this unit to a power outlet located outside the bathroom

b) INSTALLATION

1. Main unit should be suspended with the air pipe outlet located downwards.
2. After marking two hole positions, drill 2 holes 5 mm in diameter and 28 mm deep, making sure not to drill the electrical cables and the water or gas pipes which are built in the wall.
3. Press the wall screws (provided) completely in the holes and screw on the 2 screws provided, by leaving the heads out about 7 mm.
4. Position the main unit so that the screw heads enter the circular orifice of the holes in the form of «key holes» at the back of the device.
5. Pull the main unit downwards to position it firmly on the mounting screws.

Note: It may be necessary to adjust the depth of the screws so that the placement is secure and stable enough. For hollow partitions with half-timbering, special mounting systems may be necessary (these are not provided however).

3. BATH MAT USE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place the mat in the empty tub and press on the mat to stick the vacuum cups.
2. Insert the «valve» located at the end of the pipe in the main unit and make it swivel to lock it in place. To do this, pivot the end of the pipe so that the arrow is placed opposite the closed lock.
3. Insert the other end of the pipe in the mat's connector cable.
4. With dry hands, plug the power lead in to a power outlet located outside the bathroom and connect the power supply.
5. Choose the desired length of operation with the time switch button. The maximum pre-adjusted length of the time switch is 60 minutes, but the recommended length is 20 minutes.
6. Also select the program type with the program adjustment button.
7. Then choose the intensity of the bubbles by operating the variable intensity button.
   After regulating the main unit, get in the tub to use your hydro-massage.

MASSAGING BRUSH CHARACTERISTICS

- Waterproof, light, portable and compact.

• 2 interchangeable massage attachments: massager and brush (with a battery compartment in the massage head.
• Comfortable ergonomic handle.

The «HYDRO CARE» massage brush is delivered with two massage attachments. Please choose the one that you want to use for your personal massage. Do not forget that to screw on your accessory, it is necessary to turn clockwise and to unscrew it, in the opposite direction.

Brush

Give yourself a relaxing body massage with the brush when taking a bath or your shower. Its soft brushes help clean the skin.

Massager

This accessory comes complete with many knots; they give a deep body massage diminishing muscular fatigue and tension.

Instructions for use

Installation of batteries in the «HYDRO CARE» massage brush. The brush uses 2 AA batteries (not provided). Before using, please follow the battery installation instructions, mentioned below:

1) Unscrew the battery compartment cover.
2) Open the battery compartment cover.
3) Insert 2 AA batteries by following the polarity indicated inside the compartment with the + and - symbols.
4) Reassemble the massage accessory; your device is now ready to use.

5. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

HYDRO CARE is intended for individual use. There is no part which must be maintained by the user. In case of any problems, please return it to the LANAFORM® service centres, for repair.

To clean: after using HYDRO CARE, simply wash it with a cloth and some soapy hot water.

Never plunge it entirely into the water.

Always store in a cool and dry place.

LIMITED GUARANTEE

LANAFORM ^® guarantees that the product is free from any material or manufacturing defect for a period of two years as from the date of purchase, except as stipulated herebelow. The guarantee on this LANAFORM ^® product does not cover damage caused by inappropriate or misuse, accident, attachment of any unauthorized accessory, any modification made to the product or any circumstance of any kind beyond the control of LANAFORM ^® . LANAFORM ^® cannot be held liable for indirect, consequential or special damage of any kind. All implicit guarantees of the aptitude of the product are limited to two years as from the initial date of purchase. On reception, LANAFORM ^® will repair or replace your appliance as appropriate and will return it to you. This guarantee must be carried out by LANAFORM ^® Service Centre. Any maintenance of this product entrusted to anyone other than the LANAFORM ^® Service Center voids this guarantee.
