How to use the two essential oil tanks?

The Samoa diffuser has two 100 ml tanks. Fill each tank with clean water up to the MAX level, add 3-4 drops of essential oil of your choice per tank, then replace the cover. Press the button once to turn on the left tank, a second time to switch to the right tank, and a third time to turn off. The tanks do not operate simultaneously.

How to clean the essential oil diffuser?

Unplug the device before cleaning. Clean the tank every 2 days with a soft cloth and vinegar if necessary. To clean the transducer(s) (ceramic disc), apply 2 to 5 drops of vinegar for 2 to 5 minutes, gently brush with a soft brush, then rinse with clean water. Never use soap, solvent, or hard tools.

Which essential oils can I use?

Use only 100% pure natural essential oils intended for diffusion. Avoid synthetic fragrances which may damage the device. Follow usage precautions: maximum 3-4 drops per tank, and always add drops to water, not dry.

Is the diffuser safe for babies and sensitive people?

Use of essential oils is not recommended for pregnant women, people with epilepsy, asthma, or allergies. In a baby's room under 3 years, do not diffuse for more than 10 minutes, and only when the baby is not present. Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the device.

What to do if the diffuser does not produce mist?

First check the water level: if too low, add water up to the MAX mark. Ensure the room temperature is not too low: place the device in the room 30 minutes before use. If the problem persists, check that the transducer is not clogged with limescale (clean with vinegar).

Why is there an unusual smell?

An unusual smell may come from stagnant water. Empty the tank, clean it, and fill with fresh water. If the smell persists, clean the transducer. Preferably use cooled boiled water.

Diffusion is weak, what to do?

Check the water quantity in the active tank: too low or too high a level may reduce intensity. Adjust the water volume between the minimum and MAX. Ensure the transducer is clean.

How does the automatic shut-off work?

The diffuser automatically shuts off when there is not enough water in the operating tank. This protects the transducer. However, the device remains powered; unplug it if not in use.

How to store the diffuser when not in use?

After use, empty the water from the tanks (tilting towards the spout, never towards the air outlets). Clean and dry all parts. Store in a dry, cool place, out of reach of children.

What does the Lanaform warranty cover?

Lanaform guarantees this product against any material and manufacturing defects for 2 years from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover normal wear, abusive use, unauthorized modifications, or accidental damage. For any repairs, contact the Lanaform Service Center.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Thank you for choosing Samoa by Lanaform®.

Thanks to its two separate water reservoirs, the Samoa essential oil diffuser lets you perfume the ambient air of your home to reflect your mood. You can easily alternate between your favourite fragrances during the day and at night. This very subtle diffuser easily fits into your home.

PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR DIFFUSER, ESPECIALLY THIS BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION:

• Always place the device on a hard, flat, horizontal surface inside your home. Always keep it away from walls and heat sources such as stoves, radiators, etc.
  N.B.: If it is not placed on a horizontal surface, it may not work properly.
• Check that your mains voltage is the same as that of your device.
• Do not connect or disconnect the plug with wet hands.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar cord available from the supplier or the latter's after-sales department.
• Do not leave the device in the sun for a long period of time.
  • Do not take the device as a whole apart.
• Do not switch on the device when there is no water in the reservoir.
• Do not lift the plastic cover when the device is on. If you notice a suspicious odour or noise, immediately switch off the device and consult the «Troubleshooting» section of these instructions for use. If the problem persists, have the device examined by the supplier or its after-sales department.
• Do not use essential oils that are not recommended for diffusion. To find out which essential oils are recommended, consult the advice provided in these instructions for use.
• Do not use perfume or synthetic essences as these could damage the device.
  • Unplug the device before cleaning it.
• Do not wash the entire unit with water and do not immerse it in water. Consult the cleaning instructions in these instructions for use.
• Never scrape the transducer with a hard tool. Consult the cleaning instructions in these instructions for use.
• The device should be used preferably for 30 minutes at a time, but can be used several times a day if you wish.
• Be sure to never empty the water of the reservoirs through the exhaust vents. This would damage the diffuser. Empty the water in the opposite direction of the exhaust vents.
• This device is not intended for use by people, including children, with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by people lacking experience or knowledge, unless they have been supervised or instructed beforehand on how to use the device by someone responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Only use this device for its intended purpose, as described in these instructions for use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Features:

How to use :

• Place the Samoa diffuser in the room half an hour before turning it on so that it can adjust to room temperature.
  • Check that the diffuser is clean.
• Remove the plastic cover from the base of the diffuser (7).
• Fill the two reservoirs with no more than 100 ml of clean water each, being sure to not exceed the «MAX» marking found inside the base. (The temperature of the water should not exceed 40°C). (8)
• Pour a few drops of essential oil into the water reservoir. Since each reservoir operates independently of the other, choose your essential oils to reflect your mood or the time of day or simply choose scents that inspire you and delight in these soft fragrances. (9)
  • Put the plastic cover back onto the filled water reservoirs. (10)
  • With dry hands, connect the power supply plug. (11)
• Press the central button to switch on the device. Mist will first come out of the left-hand reservoir. (12)
• Press this button twice to stop the left-hand reservoir and switch to the right-hand reservoir. (13)
  • If you press this button a third time, the device switches off. (14)
  • The two water reservoirs cannot operate at the same time.
• When one water reservoir is empty, the second one will not switch on, even if it is has been filled. You will therefore need to press the central button to switch on the filled water reservoir.

NOTE : Empty the water from the reservoir in the direction of the water spout. (15) Never empty the water through the exhaust vent. This would damage the diffuser.

N.B.: EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A SAFETY DEVICE THAT STOPS THE TRANSDUCER WORKING, DO NOT LEAVE THE DEVICE CONNECTED WHEN YOU ARE NOT USING IT.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RELATING TO THE USE OF ESSENTIAL OILS

• Before using essential oils, please check the harmful effects that use of these products may have on your health.

• Always choose quality essential oils that are pure, 100% natural and intended for diffusion. Use them in moderation and with care. Follow the instructions and warnings stated on the packaging of the essential oils, in particular by ensuring that:

• Pregnant women, people with epilepsy, asthmatics and people suffering from allergies and those with heart problems or serious illnesses do not use essential oils.

• Essential oils should only be used for periods not exceeding 10 minutes in a baby's room (under 3 years old) and only when the baby is not actually in the room.

• Make sure that children and minors do not play with and use the device.

• Just a few drops (3 to 4 drops at most) of essential oils are sufficient to ensure that the device works properly and the scent is being diffused. Excessive use of essential oils could damage the device.
• First pour water into the reservoir before adding drops of essential oils.
• Lanaform® cannot be held liable in the event of accidental damage resulting from any use contrary to the instructions given in this manual.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

If the water contains too much calcium and too much magnesium, it may deposit a "white powder" in the device. If this foam is deposited on the transducer(s) (ceramic ring(s) producing ultrasounds, diagram 1, point 4), this will prevent the device from working properly.

Maintenance:

We recommend:

1) Preferably using boiled and cooled water for each use,
2) Cleaning the reservoir every 2 days and cleaning the transducer(s) every week,
3) Changing the water in the reservoir every 2 days,
4) Cleaning the device and making sure that all its parts are completely dry when it is not in use.

To clean the transducer:

1) Put 2 to 5 drops of vinegar on its surface and leave them there for 2 to 5 minutes.
2) Brush the foam off the surface with a soft brush. Do not use a hard tool to scrape the surface.
3) Rinse the reservoir of the base in clean water.
4) Do not use soap, solvent or spray cleaner to clean the transducer(s).

To clean the reservoir:

1) Clean the reservoir with water using a soft cloth and vinegar if there are foam or limescale deposits on the inside.
2) Rinse the reservoir in clean water.

Storage:

After cleaning and drying the device, store it in a dry, cool place out of the reach of children.

TROUBLESHOOTING

In the event of a malfunction, under normal conditions of use, please refer to the following chart:

Problem Possible causes Solution
No mist The water level in the reservoir is too low.	Add water to the empty reservoir.
	The temperature of the unit is too low.	Place the unit in a room at ambient temperature for half an hour prior to use.
Mist has an unusual smell The water has been standing in the reservoir too long.	Clean the reservoir and pour fresh water into it.
Low intensity	Too much/little water in the reservoir.	Empty the water out of this reservoir or add water to it.
	Sediment on the transducer(s). Clean the transducer(s).
	The water is too cold. Use water that is at room temperature.
	The water is not clean. Clean the reservoir(s) and pour fresh water into it.

ADVICE REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF WASTE:

• All the packaging is composed of materials that pose no hazard for the environment and which can be disposed of at your local sorting centre to be used as secondary raw materials. The cardboard may be disposed of in a paper recycling bin. The packaging film must be taken to your local sorting and recycling centre.
• When you have finished using the device, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the law.

LIMITED WARRANTY

LANAFORM ^® guarantees this product against any material or manufacturing defect for a period of two years from the date of purchase, except in the circumstances described below.

The LANAFORM ^® guarantee does not cover damage caused as a result of normal wear to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM ^® product does not cover damage caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside LANAFORM ^® 's control.

LANAFORM ^® may not be held liable for any type of circumstantial, indirect or specific damage. All implicit guarantees relating to the suitability of the product are limited to a period of two years from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy of the proof of purchase can be supplied.

On receipt, LANAFORM ^® will repair or replace your appliance at its discretion and will return it to you. The guarantee is only valid through LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre ^® . Any attempt to maintain this product by a person other than LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre will render this guarantee void.
