Frequently Asked Questions - MGO-41 MPM

How to use the MPM MGO-41 waffle maker for the first time?
Before first use, wipe the plates with a damp cloth then dry. Brush them with oil, plug in the appliance and heat for 10 minutes. Let cool, then wipe again. This removes manufacturing residues.
What temperature should I choose for golden waffles?
Set the thermostat to the maximum position for preheating. After 3 minutes, the thermostat light turns off. Then adjust according to desired color: a lower temperature for lighter waffles.
How long does it take to cook a waffle?
Cooking time depends on temperature and batter. Generally, allow 3 to 5 minutes. Check the first waffle and adjust if necessary.
How to clean the waffle maker after use?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Clean the plates with a soft cloth or damp towel. Never use abrasive sponges and do not immerse the appliance in water.
Can I use metal utensils on the plates?
No, only use plastic or wooden spatulas. Metal utensils may scratch the non-stick coating.
What to do if the thermostat light stays on?
The thermostat light turns on and off during use to maintain temperature. If it stays constantly lit, the appliance is still heating up; this is normal. If it never turns off after preheating, contact customer service.
The waffle maker emits smoke during first heating, is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. The first heating may produce slight smoke due to burning of residual oils. Ensure good ventilation.
Can I leave the appliance unattended?
No, never leave the waffle maker unattended while operating. Unplug it after use and wait for complete cooling before storing.
How to prevent waffle batter from overflowing?
Do not pour too much batter: fill the lower mold until it is fully covered, but not excessively. Excess may overflow during cooking.
Where can I find spare parts for the MPM MGO-41?
Contact MPM after-sales service or an authorized center. Parts such as baking plates are not sold separately; replacement may require sending the appliance.
