Reiniging WAARSCHUWING:
This warns you of dangers to your health and indicates possible injury risks. CAUTION: This refers to possible hazards to the appliance or other objects. NOTE: This highlights tips and information. General Notes Before using this appliance for the rst time, please read the operating instructions very carefully and keep these safe along with the warranty certicate, receipt and if pos- sible the box and inner packaging. If you give the appliance to a third party, you should also provide them with the operating instructions.
- The appliance is for personal use only and must not be used for other purposes. This device is not intended for commercial use.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors. Keep it away from heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never immerse it in liquids) and sharp edges. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance has become moist or wet, pull the power plug immediately.
- Switch off the appliance and always pull on the plug out of the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead), whenever you are not using the appliance, attaching accessories, cleaning it or if there is a fault.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use. If you leave the room, turn the appliance off. Disconnect the plug from the socket.
- The appliance and the power cable must be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is detected, the appliance must not be used.
- Use only original accessories.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

WARNING: Hot surfaces!
Risk of burns! Accessible surfaces can be very hot during operation. Therefore, only touch the appliance on the recessed grips and the power plug. CAUTION: Fire Hazard! Oil and fat can burn when overheated. Maintain a sufcient safe distance (30 cm) to inammable objects, such as furniture, cur- tains, etc.27 eNGLIsh CAUTION: This appliance must not be immersed in water for cleaning. Please refer to the instructions provided in the “Cleaning” section.
- Place the appliance on a at surface, which is resistant to moisture and heat. The surface should be easy to clean, since splatters are inevitable. For sensitive surfaces cover them with a heat-resistant plate.
- Due to rising heat and vapors do not place the appliance under wall cupboards.
- Do not move the appliance during operation.
- Ensure that the mains cord does not touch hot parts of the appli- ance during operation.
- Do not touch hot parts of the appliance.
- Do not operate the appliance with an external timer or separate remote control system.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid any exposure to danger, always have faulty cables replaced by the manufacturer, our customer service or qualied person only and with a cable of the same type.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years or over and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capa- bilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are under supervision or have been given instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting hazards.
- Children must not play with the appliance.28 eNGLIsh Intended Use This appliance serves for heating, grilling and browning of food. It is intended for household use and similar areas of ap- plications. It may only be used in the manner described in these operating instructions. You must not use the appli- ance for commercial purposes. Any other use is not intended and can result in damages or personal injuries. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused by improper use. Scope of Delivery 1 grilling appliance 1 grill plate 2 small pans Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials, such as lms, ller material, cable clips and cardboard.
- Check the contents for completeness.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage to prevent hazards.
- If the package contents are incomplete or damage is visible, do not operate the appliance. Take it back to the dealer straightaway. NOTE: Dust or production residues may be present on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the machine as described in the “Cleaning” section. Instructions CAUTION: Avoid damaging the non-stick coated grill surfaces!
- Only use wooden or Teon spatulas.
- Do not use pointed objects (e.g. knives, forks) on the grill surface.
- Do not use plastic utensils. They can melt.
- The non-stick coated grill surfaces make it possible to prepare dishes without the addition of fat.
- If you do want to use oil, those that can be heated to high temperatures, such as sunower oil, are suitable. Do not use olive oil or butter, as these types of fat start to smoke at low temperatures. Assembly
- Place the grill plate onto the appliance, so that it is held rmly in place.
- Place the small pans underneath.
- Place the appliance on a level surface, out of reach of children. Electrical Connection
- Please ensure that the temperature control is set to the “O” position.
- Before plugging the power plug into the power outlet, ensure that the mains voltage corresponds with that of the appliance. You can nd information about this on the rating plate.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket. Switching On/Off Use the power switch to turn the unit on and off (positions “I” and “O”). Before Initial Use
1. Slightly grease the small pans and the grill plate.
2. Put all the parts into the appliance.
3. Operate the appliance for approximately 10 minutes
without any food, so that the protective layers may dissolve. NOTE: Light smoke is normal at this point. Ensure adequate ventilation. CAUTION: The grill plate must always be placed on the device. Do not use the small pans, if the grill plate is not in place. Otherwise, too much heat may escape through the top of the appliance, which can be dangerous.
4. Set the power switch to the “O” position. Disconnect the
power plug from the socket.
5. Let the appliance cool down completely.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are 8 years or over and under supervision.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years.29 eNGLIsh
6. Clean all the parts that will come into contact with food
again. Your appliance is now ready to use.
- Do NOT heat the small pans when empty.
- Do NOT scratch the small pans with metal objects. Tips for a Raclette Evening
- Cut all ingredients into small pieces or slices.
- Let the appliance preheat for about 10 minutes.
- Place the food of your choice onto the grill plate.
- You may use the small pans to bake mushrooms or small open sandwiches topped with cheese.
- Do not overll the small pans.
- Ensure that the ingredients don't get into contact with the heating element.
- From time to time, remove larger food residues from the grill plate and the small pans, so that these won't burn. End Of Operation
1. Set the power switch to the “O” position.
2. Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply before cleaning it.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water. This could lead to electric shock or re.
- Ensure that no liquid gets inside the appliance! CAUTION:
Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.

1. While still warm, remove food residues with a moist
towel or a paper towel.
2. Clean these parts by hand in soapy water. Stronger

- Only store the appliance away clean and after it has cooled down.
- During longer periods of non-use we recommend stor- ing the appliance in its original packaging.
- Always store the appliance in a well-ventilated and dry place, out of reach of children. Troubleshooting The appliance does not work Possible Cause: The appliance is not connected to mains power. Remedy:
- Check the wall outlet with a different appliance.
- Insert the plug properly in the wall outlet.
