USE AND CARE: Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly fi tted. Do not use the appliance if the accessories attached to it are defective. Replace them immediately. Do not switch the appliance on without water. Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not work. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected to the mains. Respect the MAX and MIN levels of the water tank. Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use and before undertaking any cleaning task. Store this appliance out of reach of children and/ or persons with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack of experience and knowledge. Only use water with the appliance. The use of bottled mineral water adapted for human consumption is recommended. Do not remove the fi lter holder when coff ee is being made as it is then under pressure.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE: Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed. Before using the product for the fi rst time, we recommend running it just with water. Before using the product for the fi rst time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section. Filling with water: You must fi ll the water compartment before tur- ning on the appliance. Open the cover. Fill the water tank with water. Close the lid. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the wáter tank. Even so, if it’s done, make sure that the wáter tank is placed correctly after fi lling it. NOTE: In fi rst use, please remove the silicone in the outlet of the tank. Filling with Coff ee: Remove the fi lter holder turning it clockwise. With the help of the measure spoon, place coff ee powder compatible with espresso machines in the fi lter. 1 spoon for one cup, 2 spoons for 2 cups. Replace the fi lter holder in the appliance. NOTE: Verify the fi lter holder is properly fi tted after loading. USE: Connect the appliance to the mains. Press the on/off switch. The pilot light on the one and two cups buttons will start blinking, indica- ting that the coff ee machine is preheating. Once they stop blinking, the coff ee machine will enter the heated position and will be ready to brew your preferred coff ee. Making one coff ee Follow the steps indicated before according to one cup powder coff ee fi lling. Once the fi lter holder is in its place, press the 1cup button. The coff ee machine will stop automatically once the coff ee is brewed. Once the fi lter holder is in its place, press the 2 cups button. The coff ee machine will stop automatically once both coff ees are brewed. Making ESE pods coff ee Follow the steps indicated before according to one cup powder coff ee fi lling BUT instead of placing powder coff ee, place the ESE pod in the fi lter. Once the fi lter holder is in its place, press the 1cup button. The coff ee machine will stop automatically once the coff ee is brewed. NOTE: The coff ee brewed can be slightly diff erent from a pods dedicated machine Hot Water From heated position, place a cup under the steam tube. Open the steam knob turning it forward. Hot water will start coming out. To end, close the water system by turning the knob in reverse. Milk frothing From heated position, press the steam button. It will start blinking. Once the button stops blinking, the machine will be ready to make dry steam. Place a vase with milk under the steam wand and introduce the steam tube until the outlet is nearly at the bottom of the vase. Open the steam knob turning it forward. The noi- se of the steam coming out will be heard. Regulate the temperature by the touch with the vase and when you see it ready, close the steam knob. NOTE: Once the steam is done, if we want to return to the coff ee extraction, we must press the button for one or two coff ees and release pressure following the steps of HOT WATER in this manual. Releasing a little water will lower the temperature and release the pressure.
SETTING UP THE COFFEE QUANTITY
To do this, prepare the machine according to the function you wish to set up (make 1 coff ee, make 2 coff ees). Press and hold the button of the function you want to program. When it reaches to desired quantity, release e the button. The setting will be stored in the machine and be kept in memory even after it is switch off and unplugged. To cancel the individual coff ee quantity setting, press button for one coff ee at the same time with Steam button for 3 seconds (an acoustic signal sounds). The coff ee machine returns to the factory setting. In the two electronic functions of this coff ee maker (make one coff ee or two coff ees) you can set up their duration. NOTE: You can confi gure this step until 60 seconds. STAND-BY FUNCTION: In order to save energy, the appliance passes to stand-by after 30 minutes/seconds if the user does not use it. When the appliance enters to StandBy function, the on/off button will keep blinking slowly.
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE
APPLIANCE: Turn the appliance off , using the on/off switch. Unplug the appliance from the mains. Let the appliance to cool down. Clean the appliance. CLEANING Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task. Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry. Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance. Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to avoid damage to the inner parts of the appliance. Neither parts of this appliance are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. The draining/drying position of the articles washa- ble in the dishwasher or in the sink must allow the water to drain away easily (Fig.?). Then dry all parts before its assembly and stora- ge. To prevent this kind of problem, we recommend the use of water with low lime or magnesium mineralisation. This coff ee maker is prepared to remind you to descale the machine after 500 cycles. This time is a guideline and we recommend the following: Every 10 weeks if the water is “very hard”. Every 17 weeks if the water is “hard”. Homemade solutions are not recommended in the decaling of this appliance, such as the use of vinegar.
