1. Safety instructions

Please read the following instructions carefully before using the product. Save this manual for future reference or new users.

• The company will not assume any liability deriving from misuse of the product or non-compliance with road regulations and the instructions in this manual.
• This electric scooter is not a toy. Use it responsibly, with care and respect for others.
• Check the local regulations in force regarding the use of this type of product before using it and be sure to follow the local regulations. Drive responsibly and pay attention to people and obstacles to avoid accidents.
  • Always use the recommended clothing: non-slip gloves, knee and elbow pads and wear a helmet.
• The person driving this scooter must be able to place both feet on the floor easily when holding the handlebars at the correct height.
• When stopping or parking your vehicle, be sure to do so on a smooth, safe surface
• The maximum load capacity for the product is 100kg.
• This product may not be used by more than one person at the same time.
• Misuse of the product or non-compliance with the instructions in this manual may cause serious damage.
• Should technical problems occur, contact the Technical Assistance Service at your dealer.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the product on your own.
• Do not leave the battery near fire or heat sources.
• Avoid using used, defective and/or non-original batteries.
• Do not sit on the product either when driving or stationary.

• In the event that the user who is going to use the product is not familiar with driving this type of vehicle, it is recommended that they be instructed on the basics of driving by an adult before using it for the first time, regarding the following aspects:

• Acceleration

• Deceleration
• Braking
• Basic driving rules

2. Quick-start guide

• When you use it for the first time, charge the scooter to 100% . When the scooter is fully charged, the LED light on the charger changes from red (charging) to green (charging completed).
• Press the power button for a few seconds to start it.
• Check the battery indicator, if the battery is low, recharge it before use, the electric scooter is a device that requires periodic charging to work.
• Check the tyre pressure (44PSI) if the scooter has not travelled at least 60% of the stated km or reached the maximum speed in the first 3 months of use, it is likely that the wheels have deflated again, it will thus be necessary to restore the pressure as indicated.
• Place the scooter on a flat surface
• Put your hands on the handlebar. Step onto the footplate with one foot and use the other to give yourself a gentle push and accelerate.

NOTICE

The accelerator is activated once the forward speed exceeds 3 km/h.

For safety reasons, the scooter is initially set up to avoid a standing start.

• When the scooter begins to move, place both feet on the footplate and press the accelerator.
• To drive the scooter, tilt your body in the direction of travel when turning and slowly turn the handlebars.
• To stop the scooter, release the accelerator and press the electronic or lever brake on the left side of the handlebar.
• To dismount, first stop the scooter completely. Trying to get off the scooter while it is in motion can cause injury.
• When you want to change speed mode, double click on the on/off button (button B in chapter 5).
• When driving at night or in dark places, double click the button to turn on the lights, and wear a reflective vest.ò

For your own safety, wear a helmet and knee pads to protect yourself against falls and injuries while learning to ride the electric scooter.

The rider assumes all risks for not wearing a helmet or other protective gear.

3. Package contents

1. Speedometer: Displays the current speed of the scooter.
2. Battery Level: The battery level is indicated by 7 bars.
3. ODO: Total distance travelled.
4. TRIP: Single trip distance.
5. Headlights: Headlight indicator light.
6. SPORT mode – The display will show S+. (up to 25 km/h).
7. COMFORT mode – The display will show D. (up to 20 km/h).
8. ECO mode – The display will show ECO. (up to 15 km/h).
9. Cruise Control: Maintenance of speed. It is activated after the same speed has been maintained for a few seconds.

11. PEDESTRIAN mode - (up to 6 km/h)

- Power Button (B): Press and hold this button to turn the scooter on/off.

- Accelerator (A): Use it to start the scooter and to accelerate.

- Brake (C): Press and hold to brake.

- Mode: Press button (B) twice to select the mode.

- Headlight and rear light: Press button (B) once to switch them on. When the lights are on, press button (B) again to turn them off.

The accelerator is activated once the forward speed exceeds 3 km/h.

6. Assembly and configuration

NOTICE

The vehicle is delivered folded and with the handlebar removed.

Steps:

1. Open the stand
2. Pick up the handlebar, place the lever in the closed position and lower the safety ring.
3. Install the handlebar on the rod
4. Install the hook (see photo) bringing it closer to the rod and being careful to match the holes and insert the screws.
5. Insert the screw on the outside into the hole located under the control panel.
6. Tighten the screws.
7. Bring the plastic plate (see photo) close to the second hole/profile of the control panel, match it up and then insert and tighten the screw.
8. Charge the battery to 100%
9. Adjust the folding mechanism**
10. Adjust the braking system (chapter 9)
11. Check the tyre pressure (44PSI)*.

*If the scooter has not travelled at least 60% of the stated km or reached the maximum speed in the first 3 months of use, it is likely that the wheels have deflated again, it will thus be necessary to restore the pressure as indicated (44PSI)

** If the lever is too soft when closing, tighten the front Allen screw just enough to increase the safety grip.

Adjust handlebar:

As shown in the figure, if the handlebar shaft trembles while running, adjust the screw with the hex key.

7. Fold and carry

Make sure that the electric scooter has been switched off. Hold the handlebar rod with your hand, then pull the lever and align the handlebar hook with the hook located on the rear mudguard.

Fold and hold the handlebar rod with one or both hands.

8. Battery charging and activation

NOTICE

It is advisable to charge the device for 6 to 8 hours before the first use.

It is also recommended to charge it after each use and before storing it.

Do not allow the vehicle to fully discharge to avoid damaging the battery.

When the scooter is fully charged, the LED light on the charger changes from red (charging) to green (charging completed).

9. Brake adjustment

Brake levers:

The position of the brake lever can be adjusted if necessary through point A (see photo).

If the brake is too tight or too loose, use the hex wrench to loosen the nut (A), then adjust the brake cable, (shorten the brake cable upwards if it is too tight, pull the brake cable down if it is too loose) and then, retighten the nut (A). If, even after following the first step, the brake is too loose or too tight it may be necessary to adjust the brake pad (fixed) that can be adjusted through the wheel on the opposite side, using the hex wrench to move the pad further away/closer (B) (see image). Check the correct alignment between the brake caliper and the disc. Use screws C and D to adjust the position / alignment on the disc if necessary.

10. Range

Maximum range depends on several variables:

Terrain: Range is greater when driving on a smooth surface than when driving on rough roads and slopes.

User weight: The heavier the user, the shorter the range. Temperature: Riding the scooter in a very cold or hot environment affects the range.

Speed and driving style: Driving smoothly and at constant speed extends the range. Acceleration and aggressive manoeuvring reduce the range. Lower speed prolongs the range.

Maintenance: Timely recharging and correct maintenance increases the range.

11. Storage and cleaning

Charge the scooter 50%–60% before storing it out of season or for extended periods. Recharge it to 50%–60% every 2–3 months. If not used daily, it is recommended to store the scooter at 15–25 °C. Do not expose the scooter to low (below 0 °C) and high (over 45°C) temperatures. Avoid leaving it outdoors, as it is not water resistant.

When the scooter gets dirty, clean it with a damp cloth. Before cleaning it, make sure the electric scooter is turned off and cover the charging port to prevent damage to the electronic components. Do not use alcohol, gas, kerosene or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents. This can damage both the appearance and the internal structure of the electric scooter. Do not use pressurised water guns or running water for cleaning. The electric scooter is not waterproof.

Do not expose it to rain or water, or immerse it in water to wash it.

12. General warnings

• Check brakes, pressure (44PSI), condition of wheels and accelerator before each use. If you notice unusual noises or any anomalies, do not use the product and contact the Technical Assistance Service at your dealer.
• The scooter should not be modified in any way; this could alter its efficiency or damage its structure and cause problems.
• Be sure to turn off the product before parking it.
• Do not drive the vehicle in the rain, snow or fog.
• Make sure the vehicle's electrical components do not come into contact with water or other liquids.
• Avoid driving near rivers or lakes.
• Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the product. Strict supervision is required if the product is being used by or near children.
• For information, technical support and assistance, contact your dealer.

Instructions on driving behaviour

• Do not use the phone or listen to music while riding the scooter.
• Only drive if there is enough light to drive safely. If you are driving in unfavourable light conditions, remember to switch on the scooter lights and wear a reflective jacket.
  • Always grasp the handlebar with both hands when driving.
  • Always ride with both feet on the board in a safe and comfortable way.
• Do not get distracted while driving and always look ahead.
  • Always drive at a speed at which you can brake safely.
• Start braking sufficiently far away so that you can avoid obstacles, curves and areas that have uneven surfaces. Remember to let go of the accelerator before braking
• Do not get into competition with other drivers.
• Maintain a minimum safety distance of 5 ~m from other vehicles.

13. App configuration

What can you do with the Ducati Urban e-Mobility app?

Access the app store to download and install the Ducati Urban e-Mobility app

1. Download the app on your smartphone;
2. Turn on the electric scooter and activate Bluetooth on the smartphone;
3. Start the app and log in*, connect your smartphone to the electric scooter via Bluetooth within 1-2 metres;

*If this is your first time using this app, fill in the "e-mail" field to register and authenticate the verification code.

Information on "Cruise Control":

Activate the "Cruise Control" function in the app, keep the electric scooter at a constant speed (> 8 km/h) and hold the accelerator lever down for a few seconds. An acoustic signal will indicate that "Cruise Control" is active, so it will not be necessary to keep the accelerator lever held down. Press the accelerator lever or brake lever again to deactivate the function.

Information on the "Zero Start" mode:

The Zero Start mode, if activated, allows you to start the electric scooter by operating the accelerator without having to push off with the feet.

14. Learning to ride

Follow the safety instructions before riding the scooter.

Use approved equipment such as helmets and knee pads.

The electric scooter cannot be used by more than one person at the same time.

Children under the age of 14* and pregnant women should not use this electric scooter.

*In Italy the matter is currently governed by Law L 27/12/2019 no. 160

Maximum weight allowed on the electric scooter: 100 kg.

Pay attention if you are driving where there are bumps, sand, puddles, frost, snow, stairs, in dark places or at night or in the wet.

Do not use the electric scooter in dangerous areas, in the presence of flammable and/or explosive substances, liquids and/or dirt.

This electric scooter is not designed to be driven on roads and highways. Consult the legislative decree in force in your municipality regarding where electric scooter circulation is allowed.

15. Battery (Warnings)

Make sure the scooter, charger and charging port are dry.

When the scooter is fully charged, the LED light on the charger changes from red (charging) to green (charging completed).

Use only the original charger. Other chargers damage the device and pose other potential risks.

The scooter should not be charged for extended periods. Overcharging reduces battery life and may cause other potential risks.

Charge the scooter in a dry environment away from flammable materials

(e.g. materials that could explode into flames), preferably at an internal temperature of 15–25°C, but never below 0 °C or above + 45 °C.

Do not charge in direct sunlight or near a fire.

Do not charge the scooter immediately after use. Let the scooter cool down for one hour before charging.

Never leave the electric scooter unattended while charging. Heat risk! Never connect the DC charging socket with metal objects.

Read the charging and storage sections above to ensure you maintain and handle the battery properly. Keep the scooter away from open flames or other heat sources to prevent the battery from overheating. Do not leave the scooter exposed to freezing temperatures. Both excessive heat and cold can drain the battery.

Avoid completely discharging the battery.

It is best to recharge the battery while there is still some charge left. This prolongs the life of the battery. When the charge is too low, it is not possible to drive normally. This may lead to the driver losing control or falling.

Make sure the battery is charged at regular intervals, even if you do not use the electric scooter for an extended period. This prevents damage to the battery caused by low voltage over an extended period.

Battery precautions:

The battery is made up of lithium-ion cells and chemical elements that are hazardous to health and the environment. Do not use the scooter if it emits odours, substances or excessive heat. Do not dispose of the electric scooter or battery with household waste. The end user is responsible for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and batteries in compliance with all applicable regulations.

What to avoid:

Opening the battery or taking it apart, hitting, throwing or puncturing the battery or sticking objects on the battery. Touching any substances leaking from the battery, as it contains hazardous substances. Letting children or pets touch the battery.

Over-charging, over-discharging or short-circuiting the battery. Immersing or exposing the battery to water or other liquid. Exposing the battery to excessive heat or cold.

Exposing the battery to an environment containing explosive gases or flames.

Leaving the battery in rain or direct sunlight or in a hot car in direct sunlight. Reassembling or refitting the battery.

Carrying or storing the battery together with metal objects such as hairpins, necklaces, etc. Driving the electric scooter while charging.

Using any charger other than the original.

16. Responsibility

The rider is obliged to use the electric scooter with the utmost diligence and in full compliance with current legislation regarding the use, operation and riding of the electric scooter which, merely by way of example, is set out in Italian Legislative Decree no. 285/1992 ("Highway Code").

The rider is also obliged to keep the electric scooter clean and in a perfect state of efficiency and maintenance, to diligently carry out the safety checks under their responsibility, as described in the warnings and recommendations section, and to keep all the documentation regarding the maintenance of the electric scooter.

The rider must carefully evaluate atmospheric conditions that could make it dangerous to use the electric scooter. To this end, we recommend moderating your speed and maintaining an adequate braking distance if you are in adverse weather conditions and/or in the case of heavy traffic.

The electric scooter can only be ridden by riders at least 14 years old*. Children under 18 are required to wear a suitable protective helmet. For children under the age of 18, it is advisable to use the electric scooter under adult supervision.

17. Daily maintenance and care

Cleaning and storage

• If there are stains on the scooter body, wipe them off with a damp cloth. If stains persist, put toothpaste on them, brush with a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth. If there are scratches on the plastic components, use sandpaper or other abrasive material to remove them. Notes: Do not clean the scooter with alcohol, gasoline, kerosene or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents to avoid serious damage. Do not wash the scooter with high-pressure water jets. When cleaning, make sure the scooter is turned off, the charging cable disconnected and the rubber cap closed as a water leak could cause an electric shock or other serious problems. When the scooter is not in use, store it indoors in a cool, dry place. Do not store it outdoors for an extended period of time. Excessive sunlight, overheating and excessive cold accelerate tyre ageing and compromise the life of both the scooter and the battery.
• Check the brakes and that they are adjusted correctly.

• Check screws in general

• Do not use batteries of other models or brands, as they may pose a safety risk.

• Do not disassemble, crush or puncture the product. Do not touch the battery contacts. Do not disassemble or puncture the outer casing. Avoid the product coming into contact with water and fire and do not expose it to temperatures exceeding 50 °C (including heat sources such as stoves, heaters, etc.). Avoid contact between metal objects and battery contacts to prevent short circuit, physical injury or death.
• Water seeping into the battery can cause damage to internal circuits and risk of fire or explosion. If there is any doubt that water may have entered the battery, stop using the battery immediately and return it to your dealer's after-sales service for checking.
• Use only the original charger to avoid potential damage or fire.
• Improper disposal of used batteries seriously pollutes the environment. Follow local regulations regarding battery disposal. Follow battery disposal regulations to protect the environment.
• After each use, fully recharge the battery to extend its useful life. Do not store the battery in an environment where the temperature is above 50 °C or below -20 °C (for example, do not leave the scooter or battery in a car in direct sunlight for an extended period of time). Do not throw the battery into fire as this could lead to failure, overheating and even a fire. If you do not plan to use the scooter for more than 30 days, recharge the battery to 50/60% and store it in a dry and cool place. Remember to recharge it every 60 days to protect it from damage excluded from the limited warranty. Always recharge the battery before it runs out to extend its useful life.

Note:

Damage caused by the battery being left uncharged for a long period is irreversible and is not covered by the limited warranty. Once the damage has occurred, the battery cannot be recharged (the battery must not be disassembled by unqualified personnel, as this could lead to electric shocks, short circuits or even major safety incidents).

19. Troubleshooting

Tests to be carried out

• After a fall, check that the accelerator lever works properly. To do this, accelerate and decelerate several times.
• Check from time to time that the brakes are working properly. To do this, move the vehicle. Push it manually and suddenly brake to make sure it responds to commands.
• Check that all vehicle components are in place and securely fastened.
• Check tyre wear and pressure.
• Check the wear of the brakes and cables.

- Never leave the product to charge unsupervised.

- The charging time of the product must not exceed four hours. Stop charging after four hours.

• The product should only be charged at temperatures between 0 °C and 45 °C.

- If charged at lower or higher temperatures, there is a risk that the battery will offer reduced performance, potentially resulting in damage to the product and personal injury.

- The product must be used only at temperatures between -10^ and 45^ .

- If used at lower or higher temperatures, there is a risk that the battery will offer reduced performance, potentially resulting in damage to the product and personal injury.

- Store the product at temperatures between 0 °C and 35 °C (the optimum storage temperature is 25 °C)

- Recharge and store in a dry and open place, away from combustibles (i.e. any flammable element).

- Do not recharge in sunlight or near open flames.

- Do not recharge the product immediately after use. Allow the product to cool for an hour before charging.

- If you are away for a certain period of time, for example for holidays, and you entrust the device to a third party, leave it in a partially charged state (20–50% charge). Not fully charged.

- The product is often supplied partially charged. Leave it in this state until it is ready to be used.

4. Pregled proizvoda

Koraci:

1. Izvucite nogaru.
2. Podignite šipku upravljača, postavite ručicu u zatvoreni položaj i spustite sigurnosni prsten.
3. Instalirajte upravljač na osovinu (A)
4. Instalirajte kuku (pogledajte sliku)) tako što ćete je približiti osovini, vodeći računa o tome da bude poravnata sa otvorima i ubacite šrafove.
5. Ubacite šraf od spolja u otvor koji se nalazi ispod kontrolnog panela.

*Ako trotinet nije prešao barem 60% preporučenog broja kilometara ili dostigao svoju maksimalnu brzinu u prva 3 meseca korišćenja, verovatno su se gume izduvale. Ako je to slučaj, napumpajte gume do preporučenog pritiska. (44PSI)
