instructions in this manual before assembling, starting, or servicing the heater. Improper use of this fan can cause serious injury.

Heater has hot arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE. To prevent a possible
fire: Do not block intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Heater must be kept clear of all obstructions. Maintain a 90 centimeter minimum clearance from front and 30 centimeters from sides and rear. Heaters must be kept clean of lint, dirt, and debris (see "Cleaning and Maintenance" Page 4).
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE. DO NOT use heater with
extension cord. Plug the heater directly into a 240 V AC receptacle.
WARNING: OVERHEATING OR FIRE MAY OCCUR.
Do not place heater behind doors.
WARNING: BURN HAZARD. This heater is hot
Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from the traffic area where it will not cause a tripping hazard. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after heater malfunctions, or if has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater or return to authorized service facility for examination and / or repair.
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. Connect
to properly grounded outlets only. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater. Unplug heater before performing any maintenance or when not in use. To disconnect heater, turn control to low, then remove plug from outlet.
WARNING: DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust
any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user-serviceable parts. Only qualified personnel should perform all servicing.
WARNING: Read all instructions before using
this heater. - Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids. - Do not use outdoors. - This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. - Do not use heater in wet locations. - Always locate heater on a stable and level surface. - Do not place the heater against paperboard or low- density fiberboard surfaces.
- Avoid using an extension cord, because it may overheat and cause a risk of fire. If extension cord must be used, use only a 3-prong grounded extension cord rated for at least the amp rating of this heater. - ALWAYS use only the electrical power (voltage and frequency) specified on the model plate of the heater. - ALWAYS unplug the heater when not in use. - ALWAYS install the heater so that it is not directly exposed to water spray, rain, dripping water, or wind. - Keep all combustible materials away from this heater.
- Position the fan heater so that it stands upright on a firm, level surface and at a safe distance from wet environments and flammable objects.
- Connect the fan heater to the proper electrical power.
- Set the thermostat dial to the maximum temperature.
- The fan heater will switch on when the function dial is set to one of the two power settings.
- Once the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the thermostat dial back until heating element turns off. Automatic Overheat Safety Control
- This heater is equipped with safety internal heat limiting thermostat and an overheat protection circuit. When a potential overheat temperature is reached, the system will automatically shut the heater off. Thermostat Instructions
- Set the thermostat to MAX and let the heater operate with full power input. When the room temperature reaches the required temperature, turn the thermostat to the left until it switches off.
- The thermostat will then switch on and off automatically to control the room temperature according to the preset value and keep the room temperature constant. NOTICE: When using the heater for the first time, you may notice a slight emission of smoke. This is normal and will stop after a short time. The heating element is made of steel and was coated with a layer of protective oil during production. The smoke is caused by the leftover oil as it is heated. FEATURES OPERATION SETTING FUNCTION
- Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect it from the outlet and let it cool down.
- To clean the outer shell, wipe it often with a soft sponge. For very dirty parts, wipe with a sponge dipped in < 50°C water and mild detergent, then dry the heater enclosure with a clean cloth. Be careful not to let the water enter the inside of the appliance.
- To protect the enclosure, do not splash water onto the heater, and never use a solvent like gasoline, isoamyl acetate, toluene, etc. to clean the heater.
- Do not immerse the heater in water.
- Wait until heater is dry before use. Problem Cause Solution Heating element does not glow red.

1. Check power connections / connect heater to
power supply. Main power indicator light shouls be on.
2. The ST-222A-240-E is equipped with a tip-over
switch on the bottom of the heater. Make sure the heater is on a solid surface.
3. Thermostat will shut off once desired room
temperature is reached. Heater is operating correctly. TROUBLESHOOTING DISPOSAL This symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that the appliance cannot be treated as normal domestic trash, but must be handed in at a collection point for recycling electric and electronic appliances. Your contribution to the correct disposal of this product protects the environment and the health of your fellow men. Health and the environment are endangered by incorrect disposal. Further information about the recycling of this product can be obtained from your local town hall, your refuse collection service, or in the store at which you bought the product. This regulation is valid only in EU member states.
WARNING : In order to avoid
overheating, do not cover the heater. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Heater is not located immediately below a socket- outlet. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. Do not throw the appliance in dustbin with wheels. Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being. In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance. CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a
device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

EXPLOSIEGEVAAR! De kachel bevat hete vonkende onderdelen. Niet gebruiken op plaatsen waar benzine, verf of ontvlambare vloeistoffen worden gebruikt of bewaard. WAARSCHUWING: BRANDGEVAAR. Voorkom brand: Blokkeer in- en uitlaatopeningen op geen enkele manier. Niet gebruiken op een zachte ondergrond zoals een bed waar de openingen geblokkeerd kunnen raken. De kachel moet op veilige afstand van alle obstructies worden gehouden. Houd aan de voorkant een vrije ruimte van ten minste 90cm en aan de zij- en achterkant een vrije ruimte van ten minste 30cm aan. Kachels moeten vrij van pluis, vuil en afval worden gehouden (zie "Reiniging en onderhoud" op pagina 4). WAARSCHUWING: BRANDGEVAAR. Deze kachel mag NIET met een verlengsnoer worden gebruikt. Steek de stekker van de kachel direct in een stopcontact met 240VAC.

ELEKTRISCHE SCHOKKEN. Alleen op goed geaarde stopcontacten aansluiten. Steek geen, en voorkom het binnendringen van, vreemde voorwerpen in ventilatie- of uitlaatopeningen omdat dit elektrische schokken of brand kan veroorzaken of de kachel kan beschadigen. Trek de stekker van de kachel uit het stopcontact voordat u er onderhoud aan verricht, en wanneer hij niet wordt gebruikt. Zet de regelknop op laag en trek de stekker uit het stopcontact om de kachel te ontkoppelen.
