This appliance has been designed for use in private households and is not intended for commercial use. – By purchasing this appliance you have become the owner of a spray extraction appliance for mainte- nance or basic cleaning of carpeting with a deep cleaning effect. – With a hard surface insert for the spray-ex floor nozzle (in the scope of delivery) even hard surfaces can be cleaned. – With the relevant accessories (in the scope of de- livery) it can also be used as a multi-purpose vacu- um cleaner. The packaging material can be recycled. Please do not place the packaging into the ordinary re- fuse for disposal, but arrange for the proper re- cycling. Old appliances contain valuable materials that can be recycled. Please arrange for the proper recycling of old appliances. Batteries and accu- mulators contain substances that must not enter the environment. Please dispose of your old appliances, batteries and accumulators using appropriate collection systems. If the appliance is used in hazardous ar- eas the corresponding safety provisions must be observed. – Protect the appliance against external weather, hu- midity and heat sources. – Should the appliance fall down, it must be check by an authorised after sales service as internal distur- bances could be present, which constrain the safe- ty of the product. – Do not suck in toxic substances. – Do not use the machine to vacuum clean plaster of Paris, cement, etc. that can harden on coming into contact with water and can thus hamper the func- tioning of the machine. – Always place the machine in a horizontal position during operation. The voltage must correspond with the type plate on the appliance. – Never touch the mains plug and the socket with wet hands. – Do not pull the plug from the socket by pulling on the connecting cable. – Turn off the appliance and remove the mains plug prior to any care and maintenance work. – Repair works may only be performed by the author- ised customer service. – Check the power cord with mains plug for damage before every use. To avoid risks, arrange immedi- ately the exchange by an authorized customer ser- vice or a skilled electrician, if the power cord is damaged. – To avoid accidents due to electrical faults we rec- ommend the use of sockets with a line-side current- limiting circuit breaker (max. 30 mA nominal trip- ping current). – Only use a splash proof extension cable with a min- imum section of 3x1 mm². – If couplings of the power cord or extension cable are replace the splash protection and the mechan- ical tightness must be ensured. – Please switch off the machine first using the main switch before disconnecting the machine from the mains. – Immediately switch off the appliance or pull the mains plug in case of formation of foam or fluid es- cape! 몇 WARNING Do not use abrasives, glass or universal cleaners! Nev- er immerse the appliance in water. Certain materials may produce explosive vapours or mixtures when agitated by the suction air! Never vacuum up the following materials: – Explosive or combustible gases, liquids and dust particles (reactive dust particles) – Reactive metal dust particles (such as aluminium, magnesium, zinc) in combination with highly alka- line or acidic detergents – Undiluted, strong acids and alkalies – Organic solvents (such as petrol, paint thinners, ac- etone, heating oil). – In addition, these substances may cause the appli- ance materials to corrode. Illustration Turn the motor casing around and attach the foam filter to the filter basket. Insert the filter cover and turn to lock. Install the motor casing. Pull up on the carrying handle to lock. Illustration Install the fresh water reservoir. Insert the bot- tom part first and then press toward the top on the motor compartment to check if it is locked in. Illustration Slide the spray handle onto the handle until it locks into place. Attach the spray hose of the spray handle to the suction hose using 7 mounting clips. Attach the suction hose and the spray hose to the connectors on the appliance. Note : Press the suction hose tightly into the connector to lock it into place. Illustration Connect the suction tubes and attach to the handle. Insert the loose spray hose in the spray handle and attach to the suction tubes using the 3 included mounting clips. Attach the floor nozzle to the suction tubes and in- sert the spray hose into the floor nozzle. Rotate the exterior safety lever and lock the spray hose into place. The appliance is now prepared for wet cleaning. Illustration For the installation of the spray-ex manual nozzle the enclosed adapter must be connected and locked between the spray-ex manual nozzle for up- holstery cleaning and the handle.
- SE 4001 Plus ATTENTION Always work with an inserted foam filter - during wet cleaning as well as wet and dry vacuum cleaning. ATTENTION Check the object to be cleaned prior to using the appli- ance in an inconspicuous place for colour fastness and water resistance. Do not clean water-sensitive floor coverings such as wood floors (the moisture could penetrate and damage the floor). Note: Warm water (max. 50°C) will increase the cleaning ef- fect. With spray-ex floor nozzle without hard surface at- tachment. Please only use the carpet cleaner RM 519. With spray-ex floor nozzle with hard surface attach- ment. Slide the attachment for hard surfaces onto the side of the spray-ex floor nozzle. The squeegee points towards the front, the brush strip towards the back. Note: You can remove the water reservoir to fill it or you can fill it directly on the appliance. Illustration Flip the reservoir cover up. Add 100 - 200 ml (volume depends on degree of contamination) of RM 519 into the fresh water res- ervoir, then add tap water - do not overfill. Close the reservoir cover. Illustration Insert the mains plug into the socket. Press the switch for suction (position I), suction tur- bine is running. Illustration Close fully the surrounding air separator at the han- dle. Illustration Press the switch for spraying (position I), the deter- gent pump is ready. Use the lever on the spray handle to spray on de- tergent solution. Run across the surface to be cleaned in overlap- ping paths. Pull the nozzle backwards (do not push). Note: If the container is full, a float closes the suction opening, and the appliance works at a higher speed. Switch off the appliance immediately, and empty the container. Switch the appliance off by pressing the switch for suction and spraying (position 0). Remove the accessories and the fresh water reser- voir and unlatch the motor casing. Remove the motor casing and empty the reservoir. – Always work from the light to the shade (from the window to the door). – Always work from the cleaned to the uncleaned surface. – Rugs with jute backing can shrink if too much water is used and can bleed colours. – Brush high-fiber rugs in the direction of the weave after cleaning (using a fiber brush or a scrubber). – Water-proofing the fabric using Care Tex RM 762 after the wet cleaning prevents a quick resoiling of the textile surface. – Do not step on cleaned surfaces until they have dried and do not place furniture on them to avoid pressure spots or rust stains. Turn on suction and spraying (position I). Spray and simultaneously suction off detergent so- lution in one work cycle. Switch off the spray switch and suction off the re- maining cleaning solution. After cleaning the carpets, reclean them using clear, warm water and waterproof if needed. Apply detergent solution and allow to react for 5 minutes (vacuuming is switched off). Clean the surface just like you would with light/nor- mal soiling. After cleaning the carpets, reclean them using clear, warm water and waterproof if needed. Rinse the spray tubes in the appliance as follows: Fill the detergent container with about 1 liter of clear water. Hold the nozzle above the drain, and switch on the spraying pump until the clear water has been con- sumed. Note To use the device as a multi-purpose vacuum cleaner, the spray handle and the spray hose can be removed. Illustration Remove the spray hoses and mounting clips from the suction hose and suction tubes. Press the two locking noses on the sides and pull the spray handle off the handle. ATTENTION Always ensure that the filter bag is inserted for dry vac- uuming. Better filtration can be achieved by using a cartridge fil- ter (special accessories). Container and accessories must be dry, otherwise dirt may adhere. Select the desired accessories and attach to the suction pipes or directly to the handle. Illustration Insert a filter bag. The bristles should point towards the front. Work without the hard surface insert. Illustration Use the surrounding air separator to adapt the suc- tion force. Note: Close the surrounding air separator again after use! ATTENTION Do not use a filter bag! Note: If the container is full, a float closes the suction opening, and the appliance works at a higher speed. Switch off the appliance immediately, and empty the container. Attach the accessories to vacuum moisture or wet- ness to the suction tubes or directly to the handle. Switch on suction (position I). Illustration Open the sliding air regulator when vacuuming up larger quantities of water. Close it again after use. Empty the full reservoir (refer to chapter "Empty reservoir"). Turn off the appliance. Empty the full reservoir (refer to chapter "Empty reservoir"). Rinse the reservoir thoroughly with clear water. Remove the accessories from the appliance after each use and disassemble the hose, nozzle and extension tubes. Note: Possibly remaining water can drip out, there- fore you should place these into the shower or bathtub. Flush the accessories separately under running water and let air dry. Clean the foam filter under running water; let it dry before reinserting it. Leave the appliance open to let it dry. Storing the appliance. Store the accessories on the appliance and store in dry rooms. With an uneven spray jet. Illustration Loosen nozzle attachment and pull out, clean or re- place spray nozzle. 1 x year or as needed. Illustration Turn the lock and loosen it. Take out the sieve and rinse it with water. Fill up fresh water reservoir. Check the fresh water reservoir for correct fit. Detergent pump defective, contact customer ser- vice. Clean the spray nozzle of the spray ex floor nozzle. Close the surrounding air separator at the handle.
