How to set the DMX address on the COLORband T3 BT?

Press the Menu button to access settings. Use the arrow keys to select DMX mode (3Ch, 5Ch or 13Ch). Confirm with Enter, then set the start address (max 500).

How to use Bluetooth control?

Enable Bluetooth mode in the menu (bLE). The Bluetooth ID is displayed. Download Chauvet's BTAir app on your smartphone, then pair the device.

What DMX modes are available?

The COLORband T3 BT offers three DMX modes: 3 channels (RGB), 5 channels (RGB + dimmer + strobe) and 13 channels (RGB for 3 zones + strobe + programs + speed + dimmer).

How to replace the fuse?

Unplug the device. Use a flathead screwdriver to open the fuse holder. Replace the blown fuse with one of same type and rating. Close and plug back in.

Can I use this device outdoors?

No, the COLORband T3 BT is rated IP20 and must be used indoors only. Avoid exposure to rain or moisture.

How to set up master/slave mode?

In the menu, set one device to MAST (master) and others to SLAV (slave) via the SET menu. Connect them in DMX daisy chain. The master controls the slaves.

How to activate automatic programs?

Use the menu to select P-- (automatic programs) and choose from P1 to P8. Speed can be adjusted (S--). You can also trigger them via DMX (channel 11).

How to clean the device?

Unplug the device before cleaning. Use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use chemical products.

What is the maximum power for daisy chaining?

The maximum number of linkable devices depends on the mains voltage (120V or 240V). Check the label on the device or the user manual for exact values.

How to create a custom color?

In the menu, select u-- (custom mix). Set the values for red (r. 0-255), green (g. 0-255) and blue (b. 0-255) to obtain the desired color.

To Begin

Unpack your COLORband T3BT and make sure you have received all parts in good condition. If the box or contents appear damaged, notify the carrier immediately, not Chauvet.

AC Power

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

To eliminate wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.

Power Linking

For the maximum number of COLORband T3BT products that you can power link at each voltage, see the User Manual or the sticker on the product.

Fuse Replacement

1. Disconnect the product from power.
2. Wedge the tip of a flat-head screwdriver into the slot of the fuse holder.
3. Pry the safety cap out of the housing.
4. Remove the blown fuse from the clip on the front of the safety cap and replace with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.
5. Re-insert the fuse holder and reconnect power.

DMX Linking

The COLORband T3BT can work with a DMX controller. Instructions for connecting and configuring this product for DMX operation are in the User Manual. If you are not familiar with DMX, download the DMX Primer from www.chauvetdj.com.

Starting Address

To ensure full access to all channels available in each DMX mode, the highest recommended DMX address is 500.

Master/Slave Connection

The COLORband T3BT uses the DMX data connection for its Master/Slave mode. Information about configuring the COLORband T3BT for Master/Slave operation is in the User Manual, which is available from the Chauvet website.

IRC-6 (Infrared Remote Control)

The COLORband T3BT can be operated with the CHAUVET IRC-6. For more information about the IRC-6, download instructions for the IRC-6 or the COLORband T3BT User Manual from www.chauvetdj.com.

Bluetooth Control
