How to set the DMX start address?

Use the navigation buttons to access the menu, select the desired DMX mode (3, 4, or 9 channels), then set the address from B001 to 512 using the up/down buttons. Confirm with ENTER.

What operating modes are available?

Modes include: DMX (3, 4, or 9 channels), static colors (7 colors), auto programs (P1 to P4 with adjustable speed), sound-activated programs (Snd1 and Snd2), and custom color mixing (U--).

How to use sound-activated mode?

Select mode Snd1 (3 colors) or Snd2 (7 colors) in the menu. Adjust the sound sensitivity via the SEnS parameter (u--0 to 100) so the fixture reacts to music.

How to connect multiple fixtures in master/slave?

Use DMX cables to link the fixtures in series. Configure the first one in DMX mode with an address (master) and the following ones in slave mode (same address or via dedicated menu). Refer to the manual for details.

How to use the IRC-6 infrared remote?

Enable the infrared mode in the menu (SEr On). Point the IRC-6 remote toward the fixture's receiver to control basic functions (dimmer, color, etc.).

How to replace the fuse?

Unplug the unit. Use a flat-head screwdriver to loosen the fuse holder and remove it. Replace the blown fuse with a fuse of the same type and amperage. Reinsert the fuse holder and plug back in.

What type of fuse to use?

Use exclusively a fuse of the same type and amperage as the original. Check the label on the unit or the manual for exact specifications.

How to configure a 9-channel DMX mode?

In the menu, select 9-CH mode, then set the DMX start address (B001 to 504). Each channel controls a function: dimmer, warm white, cool white, amber, color macros, strobe, programs, speed/sensitivity, dimming speed.

Can I use this projector outdoors?

No, the fixture is rated IP20 and must be used indoors only. Do not expose it to rain or moisture to avoid risk of fire or electric shock.

How to power link multiple fixtures?

You can power link multiple SlimPAR Pro W USB units using the power output socket. The maximum number of linked fixtures depends on the mains voltage (120V or 240V). See the manual or label for exact values.

To Begin

Unpack your SlimPAR PRO W USB and make sure you have received all parts in good condition. If the box or contents appear damaged, notify the carrier immediately, not Chauvet.

AC Power

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

To eliminate wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.

Power Linking

For the maximum number of SlimPAR PRO W USB products that you can power link at each voltage, see the User Manual or the sticker on the product.

Fuse Replacement

1. Disconnect the product from power.
2. Using a flat-head screwdriver, unscrew the fuse holder and pull straight out.
3. Remove the blown fuse from the holder and replace with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.
4. Re-insert the fuse holder and reconnect power.

DMX Linking

The SlimPAR PRO W USB can work with a DMX controller. Instructions for connecting and configuring this product for DMX operation are in the User Manual. If you are not familiar with DMX, download the DMX Primer from www.chauvetdj.com.

Starting Address

To ensure full access to all channels available in each DMX mode, the highest recommended DMX address is 504.

Master/Slave Connection

The SlimPAR PRO W USB uses the DMX data connection for its Master/Slave mode. Information about configuring the SlimPAR PRO W USB for Master/Slave operation is in the User Manual, which is available from the Chauvet website.

IRC-6 (Infrared Remote Control)

The SlimPAR PRO W USB can be operated with the CHAUVET IRC-6. For more information about the IRC-6, download instructions for the IRC-6 or the SlimPAR PRO W USB User Manual from www.chauvetdj.com.

D-Fi USB Connectivity

The SlimPAR PRO W USB is able to become a D-Fi wireless receiver/transmitter with the use of the D-Fi USB from CHAUVET DJ. Simply set the DIP switch D-Fi receiving/transmitting channel, plug it into the USB port then set the product's DMX Personality and DMX Address. Further instructions for connecting and configuring this product for D-Fi USB operation are in the User Manual.

WARNING! DO NOT plug anything other than a D-Fi USB into the USB port. Doing so may cause damage to the product.

Once plugged in, the D-Fi USB will take over the product. Wired DMX and manual display control/menu buttons will be unavailable until you unplug the D-Fi USB. The priority levels are:
