How to install the Tomado TEB1500W heated blanket?

Spread the blanket evenly on the mattress, starting from the foot of the bed. Secure it with the elastic straps around the corners. The cord should be at shoulder height. Then place a fitted sheet over it. Make sure it is flat before turning on.

How to adjust the temperature?

Use the sliding switch to select the heat level: position 1 (low), 2 (medium) or 3 (high). The corresponding indicator lights up. For prolonged use, set to position 1.

How long before automatic shut-off?

The automatic shut-off occurs approximately 180 minutes after startup. To restart, set the switch to OFF, wait 5 seconds, then select a level again.

Can I wash the heated blanket?

Yes, the blanket can be machine washed at 30°C (wool program). Use a detergent for delicate laundry. Do not wash it more than 5 times during its lifespan. After washing, stretch it while still damp to restore its shape and let it dry flat. Never turn it on to dry.

Can I use the heated blanket with an adjustable bed?

Yes, but ensure the blanket and cables cannot get caught in hinges or mechanisms. Make sure it stays flat.

Is the heated blanket suitable for sensitive people?

It should not be used by persons insensitive to heat (diabetics, damaged skin, under analgesics or alcohol) nor by very young children (0-3 years). Children aged 3-8 may use it only under parental supervision. For pacemaker wearers, consult your doctor.

What to do if the blanket no longer heats?

First check that the switch is properly connected and the outlet works. If the indicator does not light up, the safety system may have triggered the shut-off. If the problem persists, do not attempt to repair yourself; contact the manufacturer or after-sales service.

Can I leave the blanket on all night?

The automatic shut-off after 180 minutes prevents continuous use. For nighttime use, set to position 1 (low temperature) and note that the device will turn off automatically. Never leave the blanket on unattended for long periods.

How to store the heated blanket?

Unplug the switch and let the blanket cool completely. Store it in its original packaging. Do not place any objects on top to avoid bending the cables. Keep it in a dry place.

How to recycle the device at end of life?

Do not throw the blanket with household waste. Follow local regulations for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The packaging is 100% recyclable.

However, the radiation values are far below the limit values: electric field strength: max. 5000V / m , magnetic field strength: max. 80A / m , magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 millitesla. Therefore, contact your physician or the manufacturer of your pacemaker prior to using this electric underblanket.
• Do not pull, twist or sharply fold the cords.
• Regularly check this electric underblanket for signs of wear and tear. If there are signs of wear and tear, or if the electric underblanket has not been used as intended, or the underblanket no longer gets warm, have the electric underblanket checked by the manufacturer prior to use.

CAUTION!

• The electric underblanket has been provided with a SAFETY SYSTEM. This sensor technology prevents overheating of the electric underblanket on the entire surface through automatic deactivation in case of a breakdown. When the SAFETY SYSTEM has switched off the electric underblanket, the temperature levels in activated condition are no longer lighted.
• Do note that for reasons of safety the electric underblanket can no longer be used after a breakdown and should be sent to the indicated service address.
• Never connect the faulty electric under blanket to a different switch of the same type. This would also ensure a final deactivation through the safety system in the switch.

Use

Evenly spread the electric underblanket over your mattress, starting at the foot end. Fasten the electric blanket with the elastic bands around the corners of the mattress. Approximately, the cord should be at shoulder height. The electric underblanket can be used on both sides. Then, as usual, lay the fitted sheet over the bed, so that the electric underblanket is between the mattress and the fitted sheet. Each time you make the bed, check that the electric underblanket is flat and properly spread, before you switch it on.

CAUTION!

Make sure the electric underblanket is spread out fully flat and does not fold or crumple during use. We recommend switching on the electric underblanket about 15 minutes before you go to sleep and covering it with a duvet to prevent the heat from escaping.

• First connect the switch to the connection point in the blanket by connecting the plug.
• Then insert the plug in the socket.

Switching on

Slide the position button for ON/OFF and the heating positions to position 1, 2 or 3 to switch on the electric underblanket. In activated condition, a heating position is lighted - 1, 2 or 3.

Position 1: minimum heating

Position 2: medium heating

Position 3: maximum heating

WARNING: If the electric underblanket is used for several hours, we recommend setting the lowest heating position (position 1) to prevent the user from overheating.

ATTENTION

• The electric underblanket heats up the fastest when you first switch on the highest temperature level.

Automatic deactivation function

This electric blanket has been provided with an automatic deactivation function. This means that the supply of heat is stopped approx. 180 minutes after the electric blanket was activated. In order to use the electric blanket again, you must first switch the position button OFF. After approximately 5 seconds you are able to switch the electric blanket on again.

Slide the position button downwards to switch off the electric underblanket. The heating position no longer lights up.

ATTENTION

If the electric underblanket is not used for a number of days, slide the position button downwards to switch off the electric blanket and remove the plug from the socket. Then disconnect the switch from the electric underblanket by removing the plug.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING

Before cleaning the electric underblanket, always remove the plug from the socket. Otherwise you will run the risk of an electric shock. Then disconnect the switch from the electric underblanket by removing the plug.

CAUTION!

• The switch may never come into contact with water or other liquids. It could get damaged as a result.

Use a dry lint-free cloth for cleaning the switch. Do not use chemical cleaning agents or abrasives. Small stains on the electric blanket can be removed with a cloth or a damp sponge and, if necessary, a little bit of gentle detergent liquid.

CAUTION!

The electric underblanket should not be dry cleaned, spun, dried in the machine, mangled or ironed.

In case of a stronger level of contamination, the electric underblanket can be washed in the washing machine. Set the washing machine to a 30^ programme (wool programme). Out of environmental considerations, we recommend washing the electric underblanket at the same time as other items. Use a gentle detergent in accordance with the manufacturer's dosing instructions.

CAUTION!

• Please note, the electric underblanket will wear if washed too often. For that reason, the electric underblanket may be machine-washed for a maximum of 5 times during its lifetime.

Immediately after washing, pull the electric underblanket in its original size and form while still wet, and leave it lying flat on a drying rack.

CAUTION!

• Do not use pegs or other clamps to attach the electric blanket to the drying rack. Otherwise the electric underblanket could get damaged.

• Only connect the switch to the electric underblanket when the plug connection and underblanket are fully dry. Otherwise the electric underblanket could get damaged.

WARNING

Never switch on the electric underblanket in order to dry it in this way! You will run the risk of an electric shock.

STORING

If you do not use the electric underblanket for a longer period of time, we recommend storing it in its original packaging. For this, remove the plug of the switch from the connection of the electric underblanket.

CAUTION! Allow the electric underblanket to cool down first, before storing it. Otherwise the electric underblanket could get damaged. During storage, do not place objects on the electric underblanket in order to prevent sharp kinks in the wiring.

RECYCLING

This symbol means that this product should not be disposed of with regular household waste (2012/19/EU). Observe the rules that apply in your country for the separated collection of electric and electronic products. Correct disposal of the product prevents negative consequences for the environment and for public health. The packaging material of this product can be recycled 100% , return packaging material separately.
