• This heat pad must not be used by persons who are not sensive to heat or by other vulnerable persons who may not be able to react to overheang (e.g. diabecs, people with skin alteraons due to illness or scarred ssue in the applicaon area, aer taking pain relief medicaon or alcohol).

• This heat pad must not be used by very young children (0-3 years old) as they are unable to respond to overheang.

• The heat pad can be used by children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age provided they are supervised. For this, the controller must always be set to the minimum temperature.

• This heat pad may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised and have been instructed on how to use the heat pad safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.

• Children must not play with the heat pad.

• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

• This heat pad is not designed for use in hospitals.

• This heat pad is only intended for domesc/private use, not for commercial use.

• Do not insert needles.

• Do not use when folded or bunched up.

EN - 14 Important safety instrucons - read carefully and keep for later reference! WARNING• This heat pad may only be used in conjuncon with the controller specied on the label.

• This heat pad must only be connected to the mains voltage that is specied on the label.

• The electrical and magnec elds emied by this heat pad may interfere with the funcon of a pacemaker. However, they are sll well below the limits: electrical eld strength: max. 5000 V/m, magnec eld strength: max. 80 A/m, magnec ux density: max. 0.1 millitesla. Please therefore consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heat pad.

• Do not pull, twist or make sharp bends in the cables.

• If they are not posioned properly, there may be a risk of becoming entangled in, being strangled by, tripping over, or stepping on the cable and controller of the heat pad. The user must ensure that excess lengths of cable, and cables in general, are safely routed.

• Please check this heat pad frequently for signs of wear and tear or damage. If any such signs are evident, if the heat pad has been used incorrectly or if it no longer heats up, it must be checked by the manufacturer before being switched on again.

• Under no circumstances should you open or repair the heat pad (including the accessories) yourself because faultless funconality can no longer be guaranteed thereaer. Failure to observe this will invalidate the warranty.

• If the mains connecon cable of this heat pad is damaged, it must be disposed of. If it cannot be removed, the heat pad must be disposed of.

• When this heat pad is switched on: – Do not place any sharp objects on it – Do not place any heat sources, such as hot water boles, heat pads or similar, on it.

• The electronic components in the controller warm up when the heat pad is in use. For this reason, the controller must never be covered or placed on the heat pad when it is in use.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION EN - 17 PRESCRIBED USE CAUTION! OPERATION CAUTION! Safety The heang pad is only intended for heang the human body.

• The heang pad has been provided with a SAFETY SYSTEM. This sensor technology prevents overheang of the heang pad on the enre surface through automac deacvaon in case of breakdowns. When the SAFETY SYSTEM has switched o the heang pad, the temperature levels in in acvated condion are no longer lighted.

• Do note that for reasons of safety the heang pad can no longer be used aer a breakdown and should be sent to the indicated service address.

• Never connect the faulty heang pad to a dierent control of the same type. This would also ensure a nal deacvaon through the safety system in the control. CAUTION! Use Make sure the heang pad does not fold or crumple during use.

• First connect the control to the connecon point in the heang pad by connecng the plug.

• Then insert the plug in the socket. 2 31EN - 18 Switching on Press the ON/OFF buon to switch on the heang pad. The display switches on - posion 1 - deacvaon me 90 minutes. To set the required heang posion, press the + buon. To lower the required heang posion, press the - buon. Seng the heang posion Posion 1: minimum heang - suitable for long-term use Posions 2-5: separately adjustable heang Posion 6: maximum heang

If the heang pad is used for several hours, we recommend seng the lowest heang posion (posion 1) to prevent the user's body part to be heated from overheang and prevent possible potenal burns to the skin or heat stroke. Switching o Press the ON/OFF buon to switch o the heang pad. The display no longer lights up. ATTENTION If the heang pad is not used for a number of days, you must switch it o with the ON/OFF buon and remove the plug from the socket. Then disconnect the control from the heang pad by removing the plug. ATTENTION The heang pad heats up the fastest when you rst switch on a higher temperature posion. The heang pad has been provided with turbo heang, which ensures quick heang within the rst 10 minutes. ATTENTION Automac deacvaon funcon This heang pad has been provided with an automac deacvaon funcon. This means that the supply of heat is stopped approx. 30, 60 or 90 minutes aer the heang pad was acvated. Repeatedly press the TIMER buon to set the automac deacvaon at the required me - 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Once the set me has expired, the heang pad is switched o. The display is o. To be able to use the heang pad again, the ON/OFF buon should be pressed rst in order to switch on the heang pad. Select the required heang posion and deacvaon me.EN - 19

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING Before cleaning the heang pad, always remove the plug from the socket. Otherwise you will run the risk of an electric shock. Then disconnect the control from the heang pad by removing the plug. Otherwise the heang pad could get damaged. CAUTION! The control may never come into contact with water or other liquids. It could get damaged as a result.

• Use a dry lint-free cloth for cleaning the control. Do not use chemical cleaning agents or abrasives.

• Small stains on the heang pad can be removed with a cloth or a damp sponge and, if necessary, a lile bit of gentle detergent liquid. CAUTION! The heang pad should not be dry cleaned, spun, dried in the machine, mangled or ironed. Otherwise the heang pad could get damaged.

• In case of a stronger level of contaminaon, the heang pad can be washed in the washing machine.

• Set the washing machine to a 30 °C program (wool program). Out of environmental consideraons, we recommend washing the heang pad at the same me as other items. Use a gentle detergent in accordance with the manufacturer's dosing instrucons. CAUTION! Note that excessive washing will wear out the heang pad. For this reason, the heang pad should only be machine- washed a maximum of 5 mes throughout its enre life.

• Immediately aer washing, pull the heang pad in its original size and form while sll wet, and leave it lying at on a drying rack.

• Do not use pegs or other clamps to aach the heang pad to the drying rack. Otherwise the heang pad could get damaged.

• Only connect the control to the heang pad when the plug connecon and pad are fully dry. Otherwise the heang pad could get damaged. CAUTION! WARNING Never switch on the heang pad in order to dry it in this way! You will run the risk of an electric shock.EN - 20 This symbol means that this product should not be disposed of with regular household waste (2012/19/EU). Observe the rules that apply in your country for the separated collecon of electric and electronic products. Correct disposal of the product prevents negave consequences for the environment and for public health. The packaging material of this product can be recycled 100%, return packaging material separately. RECYCLING STORING CAUTION!

• Please allow the heang pad to cool down rst. Otherwise, the heang pad may be damaged.

• To avoid sharp folds in the heang pad, do not place objects on top of it while it is being stored. If you do not use the heang pad for a longer period of me, we recommend storing it in its original packaging. For this, remove the plug of the control from the connecon of the heang pad.DE - 21
