How to use the Kenwood JE290A citrus juicer?

Place the juice jug on the motor unit and turn it clockwise to lock. Then, put the sieve into the jug, then the cone. Cut a citrus fruit in half and press the half onto the cone: the appliance starts automatically. To stop, lift the fruit off the cone.

Can I wash the Kenwood JE290A parts in the dishwasher?

Yes, the dust cover, cone, sieve and juice jug are dishwasher safe. The motor unit should only be cleaned with a damp cloth.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

For safety reasons, the cord must be replaced by Kenwood or an authorized repairer. Do not use the appliance with a damaged cord.

How long can I use the juicer continuously?

Do not operate the appliance for more than 5 minutes at a time to avoid damage. Allow it to cool between uses.

Why does the cone change direction during use?

This is normal. The direction change allows maximum juice extraction from citrus fruits by optimizing pressure.

How to get more juice from my citrus fruits?

Before cutting the fruit, roll it gently on a hard surface to soften the pulp. While pressing, move the fruit sideways to facilitate extraction.

The juice jug has a spout: how to pour without spilling?

First remove the cone and sieve from the jug, then pour the juice directly through the spout. The jug is designed for easy pouring.

Can I use the appliance for fruits other than citrus?

No, this appliance is designed exclusively for citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits). Do not use it for other fruits.

How to store the power cord?

Use the cord wrap located under the motor unit to wind the required cord length. This keeps your worktop tidy.

1 Wash the parts: see 'cleaning'.
2 Wrap any excess cord around the bracket on the underside of the power unit 1.

to use your citrus juicer

1 Place the juice jug onto the power unit, hold the handle and turn clockwise until it locks ②.
2 Put the sieve inside the juice jug 3 then add the cone 4.
3 Cut the fruit in half. Then press each half down on to the cone and the juicer will operate automatically.
- During use the cone may change the direction it rotates. This is normal and ensures that the maximum amount of juice is squeezed out of the fruit.
- For best results hand roll the fruit on a worktop before juicing.
- To help with juice extraction move the fruit from side to side.
4 To stop the juicer lift the fruit from the cone.
5 To pour the juice, remove the cone and sieve from the juice jug and pour using the pouring lip.
- When juicing large quantities, empty the sieve regularly to prevent the build up of pulp and seeds. Empty the juice jug as required.

Always switch off, unplug and dismantle before cleaning.
- Replace the dust cover after use.
