What are the available lighting levels?

The NovaMaster 500 offers four lighting levels: Low (60 lm), Medium (120 lm), High (250 lm) and Boost (500 lm). To switch between them, press and hold the control button for 1 to 2 seconds to turn on, then click repeatedly to change modes.

How to charge the battery?

Remove the rubber cover on the side of the lamp, then connect a USB-C cable to a power source. The red LED indicates charging, and the green LED signals that the battery is fully charged (about 2 hours).

How long does the battery last?

Battery life varies by lighting level: 50 hours in Low mode, 10 hours in Medium mode, 4 hours in High mode. Boost mode has no specified battery life as it is designed for short use.

Is the lamp waterproof?

Yes, the NovaMaster 500 has a protection rating of IP65, making it protected against water jets. It is therefore suitable for outdoor use or in humid conditions, but should not be immersed.

Can I use the lamp while charging?

Yes, it is possible to use the lamp while charging. However, be careful not to cover the lamp during operation to avoid heat buildup.

How to adjust the beam?

Rotate the lamp head: clockwise to zoom in (narrow beam), counterclockwise to zoom out (wide beam). The head can also be tilted up to 90° for targeted lighting.

Is the lamp suitable for professional use?

Thanks to its robustness, IP65 waterproofing, magnets and clip, the NovaMaster 500 is ideal for professionals (workshop, construction site, mechanics, etc.). Its maximum power of 500 lm and beam adjustment offer great versatility.

Can I replace the battery myself?

No, the battery is built-in and not user-replaceable. In case of battery issues, contact Laserliner customer service. Do not attempt to open the lamp, as this will void the warranty.

What safety precautions should be observed?

Never look directly at the light beam, especially in Boost mode. Avoid pointing the lamp at people's or animals' eyes. Do not cover the lamp during operation to avoid overheating. Keep a safety distance of 30 cm from medical implants due to the strong magnets.

Completely read through the operating instructions, the „Warranty and Additional Information“ booklet as well as the latest information under the internet link at the end of these instructions. Follow the instructions they contain. This document must be kept in a safe place and if the laser device is passed on, this document must be passed on with it.

Function / Application

The NovaMaster 500 is a splash-proof, sturdy flashlight for use when camping or in the workshop. The head swivels by 90° for optimum illumination of the working area. Two magnets provide a wide range of mounting options. This device has four different brightness levels. The pocket clip makes it easy to carry around.

General safety instructions

• The device must only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and within the scope of the specifications.
• Modifications or changes to the device are not permitted, this will otherwise invalidate the approval and safety specifications.
• Do not expose the device to mechanical stress, extreme temperatures, moisture or significant vibration.
• Do not point the beam of light directly into the eyes of people, particularly those wearing glasses or contact lenses (high dazzling effect) or animals.
• Under no circumstances should you look directly into the light produced by this device or when it is reflected off specular surfaces.
• Close your eyes and move your head away from the beam of light if optical radiation hits your eyes.
• Avoid heat build-up during use, for example, due to the covering the device.
• When storing, remove the batteries from the torch.
• Do not place the torch in front of inflammable material when in use. It could ignite. It can reach temperatures of over 60 °C.
• Do not use the torch in traffic.
• Do not leave the torch unsupervised with children.
• The battery can also be charged while using the device.
• Disconnect the power pack from the power supply when the device is not in use.
• To avoid the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury never use extension cables as well as accessories not approved by the manufacturer in connection with the battery charger.

• Powerful magnetic fields can adversely affect persons with active medical implants (e.g. pacemaker) as well as electromechanical devices (e.g. magnetic cards, mechanical clocks, precision mechanics, hard disks).

2 Adjusting the light beam

Information on maintenance and care
