When passing this product on to others, please also include all the documents! This product is not suitable for children under 14 years. This product is a decorative product, not a toy. The product must be set up outside the reach of children. This product may be used by children age 14 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca- pacities, or lacking experience and/or knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks. Children should not be al- lowed to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision. Do not expose the product to weather effects. The product may otherwise be damaged.37 GB/IE Do not expose the product to direct sunlight. Do not place it above heaters. The product‘s wax may otherwise soften and lose its shape, resulting in malfunctions. The LED is not replaceable. If the LED fails at the end of its life, the entire product must be replaced. Do not place the unit on valuable or delicate surfaces without proper protection. Otherwise, the surface may be damaged by the product.

This product contains a coin/button battery. A coin/ button battery can cause serious internal chemical burns or death if swallowed. Dispose of used batteries immediately. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion.39 GB/IE DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non- rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/ rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheat- ing, fire or bursting can be the result. Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water. Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries. Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/ direct sunlight. If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention! WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs. In the event of a leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.40 GB/IE Only use the same type of batteries/rechargeable batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries/rechargeable batteries. Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period. Risk of damage of the product Only use the specified type of battery/rechargeable battery! Insert batteries/rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery/rechargeable battery and the product. Use a dry lint-free cloth or cotton swab to clean the contacts on the battery/rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment be- fore inserting! Remove exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries from the product immediately. Non-obvious symptoms that might occur because of battery ingestion Unfortunately, it is not obvious when a button or coin battery is stuck in a child’s oesophagus (food pipe).41 GB/IE There are no specific symptoms associated with this. The child might:
- cough, gag or drool a lot;
- appear to have a stomach upset or a virus;
point to their throat or stomach;
- have a pain in their abdomen, chest or throat;
- be tired or lethargic;
- be quieter or more clingy than usual or otherwise “not themselves”;
- lose their appetite or have a reduced appetite; and
- not want to eat solid food/be unable to eat solid food. These sorts of symptoms vary or fluctuate, with the pain increa- sing and then subsiding. A specific symptom to button and coin battery ingestion is vomi- ting fresh (bright red) blood. If the child does this seek immediate medical help. The lack of clear symptoms is why it is important to be vigilant with “flat” or spare button or coin batteries in the home and the pro- ducts that contain them.42 GB/IE Start-up Inserting/replacing the battery/batteries Slide the switch on the underside of the LED real wax candle to the OFF position (Fig. D). Loosen the screw on the battery cover and open the battery com- partment. If applicable, remove the old battery/batteries from the battery compartment and insert a new battery/new batteries. Only use a battery/batteries of the type specified under “Technical data” in these instructions for use. When inserting the battery ensure the correct polarity: This is shown in the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment. Tighten the screw on the battery cover. The product is now ready for use.43 GB/IE Usage The switch has three functions: The light is switched on. The light is switched off. timer function Blowing out/Blowing on With the switch in the ON/TIMER position, turn the LED real wax candle on or off by blowing on the draught sensor. Disposal The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.44 GB/IE
