How to install or reinstall the drive belt?

Remove the platter mat and the E-clip from the spindle. Lift the platter. Place the belt around the inner edge of the platter and feed it through the hole. Hold the belt and place it on the motor pulley. Replace the E-clip and the mat. Make sure the belt is not twisted.

How to switch between 33 and 45 RPM speeds?

Use the speed selector (8) on the front panel. Press once to switch from 33 to 45 RPM. The default speed is 33 RPM for 12-inch records.

How to connect the turntable to speakers or an amplifier?

Use the RCA output (15) on the back. If the PHONO/LINE selector (12) is set to LINE, connect directly to active speakers. If it is set to PHONO, you need to connect to an external phono preamplifier.

What to do if I hear no sound?

Check that the turntable is powered on (switch 16). Make sure the PHONO/LINE selector is in the correct position for your equipment. Check the cables and connections. If using PHONO mode, an external preamp is required.

How to clean the stylus and cartridge?

Use an anti-static brush or a special stylus cleaner. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers. Do not use liquid products. Replace the protective cap when not in use.

Can I play 45 RPM records with this turntable?

Yes, use the supplied 45 RPM adapter to center the record on the platter. Select the 45 RPM speed using the speed selector.

How to replace the cartridge (stylus)?

The cartridge is a standard Audio-Technica AT3600L. To replace it, remove the old one by gently unclipping it from the tonearm. Insert the new one by aligning the connectors. Refer to the manual for details.

The automatic stop does not work, what to do?

Press the Automatic Stop button (6) to disable the function if the record stops too early. For very long records, disable this function. If the platter does not stop at the end, press the button again.

How to maintain the turntable?

Clean the casing with a soft cloth. Never lubricate the parts. Protect the turntable from dust by using the cover. Avoid humidity and direct sunlight.

Getting started

Take the device out of the box
- Remove all the packaging from the product.
- Place the packaging inside the box and either keep or dispose of properly in compliance with the waste sorting instructions shown on the product packaging.

Safety warning and notice

You must read and understand all the instructions before using this device. The warranty will not apply if damage is caused by failure to follow the instructions.

1. Never remove the device casing.
2. Never place this device on other electrical equipment.
3. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at the plugs, sockets, and the point where it exits the device. Make sure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage shown on the rating plate at the rear of the device. Always pull the plug from the socket when disconnecting from the mains. Never pull on the cord. Ensure you have completed all the other connections before connecting the plug.

Precautions for use

• Once play has started you are free to lift and move the tone arm by hand, but always use the stop control to cease play.
• Do not put anything on top of the record player cover. Objects placed on the cover may generate noises caused by the vibrations, or they may fall, notably when the record player is in use.
• Do not move or lift the product during use. Effectively, during use, the vinyl disc turns and you may damage the record, the needle, the headshell or the unit, or even cause a malfunction. Always remove the vinyl disc before moving this unit.
• You can adjust the speed of 33 or 45 rpm vinyls underneath the product.

Features and functions

Drive belt:

The belt and the record player turntable (9) are installed in the factory, but the drive belt may loosen during transport. If this happens, follow the procedure below to install it yourself.

A. Remove the rubber mat from the record player turntable (9) and E-ring of the record player axis, then release the turntable from the axis.
B. Place the drive belt on the inner edge of the record player turntable (9) and pass it through the hole.
C. Hold the belt between your fingers and place it on the motor pulley, as shown in the diagram.
D. Attach the E-ring onto the rubber mat on the record player turntable.

Warning

1. Make sure that the drive belt isn't misshapen or twisted.
2. Avoid getting oil on the belt. Oil splashed could make the belt slip.

Connection:

1. Place the dust cover (10) on top of the device by gently inserting the hinges into the dedicated spaces.
2. Insert the power cable into the appliance's socket, then connect the other end to the mains socket.
3. Turn on the record player using the On/Off button (16) on the unit.

Phono/line selector:

• The phono/line selector (12) is located on the rear panel.
• By selecting "PHONO", the audio signal bypasses the internal pre-amplifier, without being processed. The record player must therefore be connected to an external pre-amplifier in order to play the music. Please also note that you may need to connect a separate earth wire to the earthing points on the turntable and the amplifier if you hear a noise.
• By selecting "LINE", the audio signal is processed by the internal pre-amplifier. The record player can be directly connected to active speakers to play the music.

Phono I Line out

Use:

• Place a record on the record player turntable (9) and select the appropriate playback speed: 33 or 45 rpm (8). (The default playback speed is 33 rpm for 12 inch (30.48 cm) records. Press the speed selector (8) to switch to 45 rpm for 7 inch (17.78 cm) records.)
• Remove the stylus protector and release the tone arm (4). Push the lever (2) up to raise the tone arm (4), then gently move the tone arm to the desired position on the record. The turntable will begin to spin as the tone arm approaches the record.
• The deck will stop automatically when the record has finished. Press the Turntable auto-stop button (6) if you don't want the record to stop automatically at the end.
  NOTE: this action is only necessary if your record is particularly long and stops automatically before the end of the playback. You will normally not need to use this function.
• Please also note that as soon as you press the Auto-stop button (6), the turntable will start rotating. This is completely normal. Press the Auto-stop button again to stop the rotation.
• When the record has finished playing, push the lever (2) back to raise the tone arm and gently place it back on the arm rest (3), then lock the tone arm to protect it from any unexpected movement.

Please note:

To avoid damaging the stylus, make sure the stylus protector provided is in place when installing, moving or cleaning the turntable.

When you play a 45 rpm record, use the 45 rpm adapter supplied with the device.

Line output:

• This system can be connected to an external device (e.g. amplifier or active speakers) via the RCA line output (15) which is located at the rear of the product.
• Use the double male RCA to double male RCA cable to connect to an external device.

• If necessary, use the Double female RCA to 3.5mm jack stereo cable to connect the 3.5 mm jack connector of the external device.
