How to charge the shaver?

Turn off the device, plug the adapter into the connector at the bottom, then plug into the mains. The first charge takes about 1 hour. The screen shows the charge level.

Can the shaver be used while charging?

Yes, but only if the battery is completely empty. In that case, charge for a few seconds and you can then use the shaver with the cable plugged in.

How to clean the shaving head?

After each use, remove the head by pressing the release button. Rinse it under warm running water (max. 60 °C). You can also clean it with the supplied cleaning brush. Do not clean the foils with the brush.

What to do if the device does not turn on?

Check if the transport lock is not activated. To deactivate it, hold the button for 3 seconds. If the problem persists, recharge the battery.

How to use the trimmer for long hair?

Slide the release downwards to open the integrated trimmer. To close it, push it downwards until it clicks into place. Use it to cut long hair in a controlled manner.

How to replace the shaving head?

It is recommended to replace the shaving head every 18 months or if worn out. Remove the old head by pressing the release button and install the new one by snapping it into place. Consult your dealer for replacement parts.

Is the shaver waterproof?

Yes, it is certified IPX5, meaning it is resistant to water jets. You can rinse the shaving head under water, but never immerse the device or the adapter in water.

How to activate the transport lock?

Hold down the button for 3 seconds. The screen then shows a countdown. To unlock, repeat the same action.

What does the '!' symbol on the screen mean?

The '!' symbol indicates a blockage due to dirt. The device automatically turns off. Clean the shaving head as described in the manual, then you can turn it back on.

How to lubricate the shaving foils?

After monthly cleaning, apply a few drops of light machine oil to the shaving foils to ensure optimal performance.

Special Safety Information Concerning the Rechargeable Built-in Battery

CAUTION:

• The appliance contains a lithium-ion accumulator, which may not be substituted by the user.
• Risk of explosion in case of improper replacement of the rechargeable battery. Replace only by the same or an equivalent type.
• Do not expose the rechargeable built-in battery to hard impacts or pressure. Do not drop the appliance!
• Do not expose the appliance to intense heat such as sunlight. Also keep the appliance away from heat sources like radiators, stoves, etc.!
• The ambient temperature should be between 0 °C and max. 35 °C. Heat damages the rechargeable battery. Increasingly lower temperatures reduce the capacity and the life of the rechargeable battery.
• Do not charge the rechargeable battery unsupervised.
• If the charging procedure has finished, remove the power adapter from the socket.

88	Remaining Term of the Rechargeable Battery:The minute indicator in the display provides information on the charging status of the battery.“60” indicates that the battery is fully charged.i NOTE:The displayed digits and the remaining term of the rechargeable battery depends on various factors. In certain circumstances the displayed digits may differ from the actual run-time.
	Charging the Rechargeable Battery:This symbol lights up when the rechargeable battery is being charged. The displayed minutes are increasing. The symbol will disappear once the appliance is fully charged.When the remaining term drops to 5 minutes during operation, the symbol starts flashing. When “90” is displayed the appliance turns off.
	Cleaning Required:Clean the shaving head as described in chapter “Cleaning” ⇔ “Shaving Head”.
!	Blockage due to Soiling:The appliance switches off automatically. Clean the shaving head as described in chapter “Cleaning” ⇔ “Shaving Head”. After cleaning, the appliance may be switched on again.
	Transport Lock:The transport lock protects the appliance against unintentional switch-on.Press and hold the ⏻ button for 3 seconds to enable the transport lock.In order to unlock the appliance, hold down the button again for about 3 seconds. A countdown (3, 2, 1) appears in the display. The appliance will then power on immediately.

Charging the Rechargeable Battery

1. Turn the appliance off by using the button.
2. Connect the power adapter plug to the adapter jack on the bottom of the appliance.
3. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. Prior to first use, charge the rechargeable battery for approx. 1 hour.
4. Disconnect the power adapter from the outlet once the rechargeable battery has been charged completely.

NOTE:

Even when switched off, the rechargeable battery discharges continuously. If the appliance is out of use for a longer period of time, charge the rechargeable battery at least once every 4 to 8 weeks.

NOTE: Mains Operation

Is the rechargeable battery completely empty and do you want to operate the appliance with the cord? Charge the rechargeable battery for a few seconds. After that, you may operate the appliance with the cord.

Shaving

1. Remove the protective cover.
2. Turn the appliance on by using the button.
3. Hold the shaver at a right angle to your face.
4. Follow the outline of your face, and continue to hold the shaver at a right angle to your skin. Small irregularities will be corrected by the flexible shaving head.

NOTE:

• Shave against the direction of hair growth.
• If necessary, stretch the skin with your free hand.

Using the Long Hair Cutter

With the long hair cutter, you can trim head hair or beard hair in a controlled manner.

• Slide down the unlocking to unfold the long hair cutter.
• In order to close the long hair cutter push it back down. It must audibly snap.

Stop Operation

Press the ⏻ button to switch the appliance off.

NOTE:

The display will go blank after approx. 5 seconds.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Before cleaning the handset with water, disconnect it from the connection cable.
• Disconnect the power adapter from the wall socket when cleaning.
• Do not immerse the appliance and the power adapter into water.

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasives.
• Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.

Shaving Head

Cleaning after each Use

You may clean the shaving head under running water.

1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Press the unlock button for the shaving head. Remove the shaving head.
3. Rinse the shaving head under hot running water. Clean the shaving head in soapy water once in a while.

NOTE:

Do not clean the appliance with water of over 60 °C.

1. Rinse thoroughly with clear water afterwards.
2. Let the cleaned parts dry.
3. Place the shaving head back onto the handpiece. It must audibly snap.

Alternatively, you may clean the shaving head with the brush provided.

CAUTION:

The shaving foils must not be cleaned with the brush!

Monthly cleaning

Thoroughly clean the shaving head once a month. If necessary, use special cleaning aids available in specialist shops.

1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Press the unlock button for the shaving head. Remove the shaving head.

The shear blades are sharp!

Disassemble the shaving head. Please refer to the overview on page 3. Proceed as follows:

3.1. Unscrew the unlocking of the shaving foil fixer in the direction of the arrow.
3.2. Remove the shaving foil fixer by pulling it up.
3.3. Remove the shaving foils and shear blades.

1. Rinse all parts of the shaving head under hot running water. Occasionally clean these parts in a soap solution.
2. Rinse thoroughly with clear water afterwards.
3. Let the cleaned parts dry.
4. Put the shaving head back together in reverse order.
5. Lubricate the shaving foils using light machine oil (a few drops are sufficient).

Cleaning the Hand-held Unit and Power Adapter

• You may wipe these parts with a damp cloth.
• Use slightly soapy water to remove spots.

Changing the Shaving Head

To maintain the shaving performance at 100 %, replace the shaving head at the latest every 18 months or when the shear parts show wear.

For replacement parts, please consult your dealer.
