Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
3. Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
4. If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.

Warnings for the Use of the Appliance

Read the instructions!

Do not use power supply with damaged plug! If the pins of the plug part are damaged, the plug-in power supply shall be scrapped. Read the instruction manual for the power supply unit you have selected before use.

WARNING of Electric Shock:

• Keep the appliance dry.
• Do not charge the appliance near bathtubs, shower trays or other vessels containing water.

WARNING of Electric Shock:

• If the appliance does fall into water, first unplug the power supply unit from the wall socket.
• Charge the appliance in a cool, dry place.
• Do not replace any parts. Do not make any modifications.

WARNING: Risk of Injury!

• Do not press the shaver head of the shaver too hard on the skin.
• Do not use the appliance if the shaving head is damaged.
• Never remove an attachment during operation!

CAUTION:

• Choose the place for charging so that the appliance is not exposed to direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
• Only use the USB-A to USB-C charging cable included in the scope of delivery. Other charging cables may not work. Use a suitable power supply unit with a USB-A connection to charge the appliance.
• Do not charge the rechargeable battery unattended.
• Always unplug the power supply unit from the wall socket after charging.

Charging the Rechargeable Battery

1. Turn off the appliance. "0" is visible on the switch.
2. Connect the supplied charging cable to the charging socket. Then connect the charging cable with a power supply unit.

3. Connect the power supply unit to a socket.

4. Mains-only operation is not possible.

5. Charge the appliance for approx. 1,5 hours before using it for the first time.

6. During the charging process, the LED display (6) displays the current charge status of the rechargeable battery in per cent. In addition, the last digit of the charge status display flashes.

7. When the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the display shows 100 for full charge.

8. Stop all further charging after reaching 100 per cent or after 1.5 hours at the latest.

9. Always unplug the power supply unit from the socket after approx. 1.5 hours of charging.

Using the Appliance

1. Remove the protection cover.
2. Push the switch upwards. "I" is visible.
3. Hold the shaver at a right angle to your face.

4. Follow the outline of your face, and continue to hold the shaver at a right angle to your skin. Small irregularities will be corrected by the flexible shaving head.

5. Shave against the direction of hair growth.

6. If necessary, stretch the skin with your free hand.

Using the Long Hair Cutter

With the long hair cutter, you can trim head hair or beard hair in a controlled manner.

• Use the slider to extend or retract the long hair cutter.

End of Operation

Stop the operation by sliding the switch downwards. " 0 " is visible.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Switch off the appliance before cleaning. Unplug the power supply unit from the socket.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water!

CAUTION:

• Do not clean the appliance under running water! The electronics could be damaged.
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

Shaving Head

CAUTION:

The shaving foil must not be cleaned with the brush.

Use the brush to clean the cutter block and the inside of the shaving head.

You may clean the shaving head under running water.

CAUTION: Cutter Block

Remove the cutter block as a whole only. Otherwise, the smaller parts may become lost. To do this, remove it from the appliance together with the white connector.

1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Press the shaving head buttons.
3. Pull the complete cutter block upwards out of the appliance.
4. Rinse the shaving head and the cutter block under hot running water. Clean the shaving head in soapy water once in a while.
5. Rinse thoroughly with clear water afterwards.
6. Let the cleaned parts dry.
7. Only put the cutter block and the shaving head back on the appliance once it is completely dry.

Cleaning the Hand-held Unit

• You can wipe the hand-held unit with a damp cloth.
• Use slightly soapy water to remove spots.

Maintenance and Replacement

• Clean the cutter block thoroughly once a month. If necessary, use special cleaning aids available in specialist shops.
• Lubricate the shaving foils and the long hair cutter using light machine oil (a few drops are enough). This lubrication keeps the shaving head running smoothly and prevents the blades from becoming blunt.

Replacement of Shaving Parts

For 100% optimum shaving performance, change the shaving head and the cutter block at least every 18 months or whenever the shearing parts show signs of wear. It is recommended to replace both parts at the same time.

For replacement parts, please consult your dealer.

Storage

• Clean the appliance as described.
• Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
• The storage temperature should be between 10^ and 20^ .
• We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of time.
• Rechargeable battery lifespan: Even when switched off, the rechargeable battery is constantly discharging. If you do not use the appliance for a longer period of time, charge the rechargeable battery at least every 4 to 6 weeks.
