How to charge the ProfiCare PCHSMR 3051 shaver?

Turn off the device (OFF position). Plug the adapter directly into the socket at the bottom of the device or place it on the charging stand. Then plug the adapter into a wall socket. The red light comes on during charging. The first charge takes 9 hours.

Can I use the shaver while it is charging?

Yes, if the battery is empty, you can use the device plugged into the mains. Connect the adapter directly to the device. The light turns orange when operating on mains.

How to adjust the cutting length?

Turn off the device. Attach the cutting head. Select a comb (3, 6, 9 or 12 mm). Slide the head blades into the comb housing and push firmly until it clicks. To remove, push the locking latch.

Is the shaver waterproof or can it be used in the shower?

No, the device is not waterproof. It must not be immersed in water or used near a bathtub or shower. Clean it only with the provided brush or a damp cloth.

How to clean the shaver?

Turn off and unplug the device. Remove the comb. Use the cleaning brush to remove hair. Never use a metal brush, sharp tool, or abrasive product. Do not clean under running water.

What does the green light mean?

The green light indicates that the device is operating on battery. If it is red, the device is charging. If it is orange, the device is operating on mains.

Handling Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries

Danger of explosion! Do not expose batteries to intense heat, such as sunlight, fire or similar.

Batteries can leak and lose battery acid. If the appliance is not used for long periods, remove the battery.

Charging the Unit

• Turn the unit off. "OFF" can be seen on the switch.
• Connect the power adaptor connector with one of the following jacks.
• The socket directly at the bottom end of the unit.
• Alternatively place the unit in the charging station. The socket is at the rear.
• Plug the power adaptor into wall outlet.
• The indicator light remains red during the charging process.
• Charge the unit before first use for 9 hours.

NOTE:

• The charge indicator does not indicate the state of charge of the rechargeable battery.
• If the rechargeable battery is empty, the appliance can be operated via mains power. In order to do so, connect the mains adapter directly to the appliance. The indicator lamp lights up orange during mains operation.

• After initial use, do not charge the battery for longer than 9 hours at one time.

CAUTION:

After 9 hours always disconnect from mains power supply.

NOTE LIFEFIME RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

You can extent the lifetime of the rechargeable battery by following these steps:

• Only charge after the battery is nearly exhausted.
• Do not charge for more than 9 hours.
• Charge the unit at temperatures between 0^ and +40^ .

Hair / beard trimmer

Adjust Cutting Length

1. Turn off the device. "OFF" can be seen on the switch.
2. Attach the shaving head to the appliance as described under "Cleaning and Maintenance".
3. Select a comb attachment. Each comb is marked with its cutting length.
4. Attach the desired comb: Also refer to figure ⓑ on page 3. Slide the blades of the clipper head into the jags of the comb. Firmly push the comb onto the clipper head until it locks into place.
5. In order to remove the comb attachment, push the locking catch out of its lock.

Cut Hair / Beard

• Select the cutting length.
• Switch the appliance on. "ON" can be seen on the switch. The indicator lamp lights up green during battery operation.

NOTE:

Start by using the biggest comb attachment and cut your hair/beard step by step to the desired length.

Outlining and Shaving the Neck

• The clipper head allows precise outlining the shape of the beard, even in difficult to reach places as well as a clean shaving of the hairline at the neck.
• Turn the device off with the switch.
• Remove the cutting length comb and turn the hair clipper on again.

Finish Operation

- Switch off the appliance. "OFF" can be seen on the switch.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Regular cleaning and maintenance ensures optimum results and long lifetime.
• Turn the unit off and disconnect from mains power supply, if necessary.

WARNING:

• Do not submerge the appliance in water for cleaning purposes.
• Disconnect the power adapter from the mains when cleaning.

CAUTION:

• Also do not clean the appliance under running water! The electronics could get damaged.
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasives.

• Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.

• Use the cleaning brush to remove remaining hair after use.

• Remove the attachment comb.
• Clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth, if necessary.

Attach / Remove Clipper Head

The clipper head is locked to the housing. Please refer to fig. ⓐ on page 3.

1. Push back the clipper head with your thumb in order to release the catch.
2. Regularly apply 1 - 2 drops acid-free oil to the clipper head.
3. Replace the clipper head after cleaning by first setting the catch into the housing. Then press the cutting area against the housing until it locks into place.
