How much water should I put in the outer casing?

About 600 ml of water. Adjust if the container floats: remove a little water until it no longer floats.

How long does it take to reheat cold soup?

Up to 90 minutes at full power (thermostat at maximum). For keeping warm, reduce the thermostat to minimum.

How do I adjust the temperature?

Turn the thermostat from 1 (lowest temperature) to 12 (highest). Position 0 turns off the appliance.

Can I clean the container and lid in the dishwasher?

Yes, the removable container and magnetic lid are dishwasher safe.

What should I do if the soup is not heating?

Check that the thermostat is not at position 0 or too low. Increase the setting. If that doesn't work, check the power supply and appliance condition.

Can I move the appliance while it is on?

No, never move or transport the soup kettle when powered or full of hot liquid. Turn off and unplug first.

How do I install the lid?

Slide the lid onto the top of the pot. The center of the lid is a hinge: lift one half to access the contents.

Installation

Position the soup kettle on a flat, stable surface.

Fit the Lid

I. Slot the lid on top of the appliance

Note: The lid is hinged in the middle. Lift one half of the lid to access the container.

Attaching Labels

1. Slide the relevant label into the magnetic label holder.
2. Attach the holder to the side of the appliance.

Note: If the desired label is not included, simply write the name of the product on the reverse of one of the labels.

Operation

I. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
2. Fill the outer container with approximately 600ml of water.
3. Carefully place the inner container into the appliance.

Note: The inner container must NOT float, even when empty. If the container floats reduce the amount of water in the outer container.

1. Fill the inner container with hot soup and close the lid.

Note: If necessary, remove any excess water from the outer container.

1. Set the temperature control. The temperature ranges from 1 (lowest) to 12 (highest).
2. The Power light will come on and the kettle will begin to heat up.

Note: Kettle is not designed to heat food from cold.

1. Reduce the temperature to maintain heat levels. To maintain temperature, BUFFALO recommend the lowest heat setting possible.
2. Use a suitable implement to remove the contents of the kettle. DO NOT tip the kettle to remove the contents.
3. To turn the appliance Off, set the Temperature Control to '0'.

WARNING: Never move or carry the appliance when it is switched on or contains hot liquid.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance

• Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning.
- Clean any spilt food on the appliance immediately.
- Use soapy water and a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the appliance.
- The inner container and lid are machine washable.
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Electrical Wiring

This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 13 amp fuse as standard.

The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.

This appliance is wired as follows:

• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
- Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
- Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E

This appliance must be earthed, using a dedicated earthing circuit.
