How to charge the battery with the WA3743 charger?

Plug the charger into a mains socket. Insert the battery pack into the charger until it clicks. The green LED flashes to indicate charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the LED stays solid green.

Why doesn't the battery insert into the charger?

Check that the charger and battery are compatible (same brand and model). The battery only inserts in one direction; rotate it until it slides in freely without forcing.

What does a red LED on the charger mean?

A red LED indicates a faulty battery. If the LED flashes red, the battery temperature is below 0°C or above 45°C: let it cool down or warm up before charging.

Can I charge a battery from another brand with this charger?

No, only charge WORX batteries of the same model or recommended by WORX. Charging other batteries may damage the charger and pose a safety risk.

What is the charging time for a 2.0 Ah battery?

With the WA3743 charger (charging current 1.5 A), a 2.0 Ah battery charges in about 80 minutes.

Can the charger be used outdoors?

No, the charger is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to rain, water, or moisture.

What to do if the charger does not work?

Check the mains power and connections. Try with another compatible WORX battery. If the problem persists, have the charger checked by an authorized service center.

How to clean the charger?

Use a dry cloth to clean the charger. Never use water or chemicals. Ensure the ventilation slots are not blocked.

Can I leave the battery on the charger after charging?

Yes, the charger stops automatically when the battery is full. However, to extend battery life, it is recommended to remove it after charging.

Is this charger compatible with 20V batteries?

No, the WA3743 charger is intended for 12V batteries (12V nominal charging voltage). 20V batteries require a specific charger.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR BATTERY CHARGER

1. After charging, disconnect the battery charger from the supply mains. Then remove the chassis connection and then the battery connection.
2. Do not charge a leaking battery.
3. Do not use chargers for works other than those for which they are designed.
4. Before charging, ensure your charger is matching the local AC supply.
5. For indoor use, or do not expose to rain.
6. The charging device must be protected from

moisture.

2. Do not short out the contacts of battery or charger.

3. Respect the polarity "+/-" when charging.

4. Do not open the unit and keep out of the reach of children.

5. Do not charge the batteries of other manufactures or ill-suited models.

6. Ensure that the connection between the battery charger and battery is correctly positioned and is not obstructed by foreign bodies.

7. Keep battery charger's slots are free of foreign objects and protect against dirt and humidity. Store in a dry and frost-free place.

8. When charging batteries, ensure that the battery charger is in a well-ventilated area and away from inflammable materials. Batteries can get hot during charging. Do not overcharge any batteries. Ensure that batteries and chargers are not left unsupervised during charging.

9. Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries, as they can overheat and break.

10. Longer life and better performance can be obtained if the battery pack is charged when the air temperature is between 18^ C and 24^ C. Do not charge the battery pack in air temperatures below 4.5^ C, or above 40.5^ C. This is important as it can prevent serious damage to the battery pack.

11. Charge only battery pack of the same model provided by WORX and of models recommended by WORX.

CHARGING PROCEDURE

NOTE: Before using the tool, read the instruction book carefully.

1. CHARGING YOUR BATTERY PACK

The battery charger supplied is matched to the Li-ion battery installed in the machine. Do not use another battery charger.

The Li-ion battery is protected against deep discharging. When the battery is empty, the machine is switched off by means of a protective circuit: The tool no longer rotates. In a warm environment or after heavy use, the battery pack may become too hot to permit charging. Allow time for the battery to cool down before recharging.

Your battery pack is UNCHARGED and you must charge once before use.

3. HOW TO CHARGE YOUR BATTERY PACK (See Fig. A, B)

Connect the battery charger to the power supply. Slide the battery pack into the charger to make the connections. The light (1) will become green and flash to show charging has started. After charging, the light will not flash and stay green, which means the battery is full, and charging is completed

CHARGING INDICATOR

This charger is designed to detect some problems that can arise with battery packs. Indicator lights indicate problems (see table below). If this occurs, insert a new battery pack to determine if the charger is OK. If the new battery charges correctly, then the original pack is defective and should be returned to a service center or recycling service

center. If the new battery pack displays the same problem as the original Battery Pack, have the charger tested at an authorized service center.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

1. I CANNOT FIT THE BATTERY INTO THE BATTERY CHARGER. WHY?

1) Check if the charger and the battery pack are specifically designed for working together.
2) The battery can be inserted into the charger only in one direction. Turn the battery around until it can be inserted into the slot, the indicator light should be green and flash when the battery is charging.

2. REASONS FOR DIFFERENT CHARGING TIMES

The charging time can be affected by many reasons which are not defects in your product.

1) If the battery pack is only partly discharged it may be re-charged in less than rated charging time.
2) If the battery pack and ambient temperature are very cold then re-charging may take more hours.
3) If the battery pack is very hot you must remove your battery pack from the charger and allow your battery pack to cool first to ambient temperature and then recharging can be started.

MAINTENANCE

Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.

Your tool requires no additional maintenance. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store your tool in a dry place. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
