How to prepare coffee with my Tomado TCM1501S?
Fill the water tank with cold water up to the desired level (do not exceed MAX). Place a filter (permanent or paper 1x4) in the filter holder, add ground coffee (5-6 scoops for 10 cups), close the filter holder and slide the glass carafe onto the hot plate. Press the ON/OFF button to start.
How to use the delayed start function (timer)?
First set the current time with the HOUR and MIN buttons. Press PROG once, the display flashes. Set the desired start time with HOUR and MIN, then press PROG again to confirm. The PROG indicator stays on. At the programmed time, the machine starts automatically.
What does the red light continuously on mean?
The red light indicates that the machine is in operation (coffee mode or keep warm). It turns off when you manually turn off or after the automatic shut-off after 40 minutes.
How to clean the coffee machine?
Before cleaning, unplug the machine. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth (no abrasive products). The glass carafe and filter holder can be cleaned with warm water and mild dish soap, then rinse. Do not put them in the dishwasher and never immerse the appliance.
How often should I descale my coffee maker?
We recommend descaling after about 40 coffee preparations (one box of filters). Use a descaling agent for coffee machines or white vinegar. After descaling, run at least 3 cycles of clear water to remove any residue.
What to do if the coffee does not flow or flows slowly?
Check that the tank is filled with water, that the filter is not clogged, and that the carafe is properly placed. If the problem persists, descaling may be necessary due to limescale buildup.
