The appliance is not suitable for vacuuming dust which endangers health.
- The Kärcher dry vacuum cleaner is the basic vacuum cleaner that is to be used.
- The electric suction brush is used for cleaning carpeted floors.
- This appliance is suited for the commercial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, offices, and rental companies.

Safety instructions
⚠️Danger
- Do not startup the machine if the inlet is damaged or the housing shows visible signs of damage.
– Pull out the mains plug before doing any maintenance or cleaning jobs. - Never pull the mains plug from the socket at the inlet end.
- Never drive over the inlet of the vacuum cleaner.
- Never touch the rotating brush with your fingers.

If the inlet is defective, please contact Customer Service or an authorised workshop and get the entire inlet replaced.

Never immerse the electrical suction brush in water or any other liquids while cleaning.
- After wet cleaning the carpets, use the machine only after they are completely dry; otherwise the machine can get damaged.
- Never use the machine to suck up match sticks, burning ash, cigarette butts or fluids. Avoid sucking in hard, pointed objects as they can damage the machine.
- Please keep children away from electrical appliances.
- Only trained technicians may carry out repairs to electrical appliances. Improper repairs can pose serious hazards to the users.
– In case of any malfunctions, please contact your dealer or the concerned Customer Service. - No liability for damages can be assumed if the appliance has been put to improper use or has been used wrongly.
- Please follow the safety instructions of your basic appliance.
Function
The rotating brush in the electric suction brush loosens the dirt in the carpet much better than traditional vacuum cleaners. This brings about a more intensive cleaning effect.
Start up
Assembly
→ Insert the telescopic suction pipe in the connection hub of the suction head.
Note: The safety pin must lock into the bore.
→ Insert the plug of the suction head into the socket at the telescopic suction pipe.
→ Insert the manifold of the electrical suction hose into the telescopic suction pipe and turn until the safety pin locks into the hole.
→ Insert the fast-on connection of the telescopic suction pipe into the socket at the manifold of the electrical suction hose.

→ Only for vaccum cleaner T201: Replace the yellow safety ring at the suction connection of the vacuum cleaner with the enclosed black safety ring (item 5). Push the cover (item 4) over the suction connection.

→ Insert the electrical suction hose into the suction connection of the vacuum cleaner.
→ Only for vaccum cleaner T201: Push the cover on the safety ring and secure the electronic suction hose. Check and ensure proper fitting of the electronic suction hose.

→ Insert the plug of the electrical suction hose into the socket at the front side of the vacuum cleaner.
Note: The appliance is now ready for operation. The appliance is switched on through the startup; please read the operating instructions and the catalog "Safety instructions for dry/ wet vacuum cleaners".
Operation
⚠️Danger
Do not drive the rotating brushes over the mains cable! Carry the appliance over steps and high thresholds!
→ Pick up the larger parts such as cloth pieces, paper, etc. from the floor prior to cleaning. This will prevent the brush roller from being blocked.
→ Switch on/off the electrical suction brush using the switch at the handle.
Note: You have to work with the brush roller switched off if you want to vacuum clean high-flounce carpets, carpet edges, animal skins, etc.
Note: If the suction head is hard to push, decrease the vacuum cleaner power. The appliance function is not significantly impaired by this.
Transport
Caution
Risk of injury and damage! Observe the weight of the appliance when you transport it.
→ When transporting in vehicles, secure the appliance according to the guidelines from slipping and tipping over.
Storage
Caution
Risk of injury and damage! Note the weight of the appliance in case of storage.
This appliance must only be stored in interior rooms.
Maintenance and care
⚠️Danger
Before working on the appliance, switch it off and pull out the plug of the vacuum cleaner!
Caution
Risk of damage! Never immerse the electrical suction brush in water or any other liquids while cleaning.
Cleaning the brush roller

→ Cut hair and threads that have got wound on the brush roller using a pair of scissors or just remove them.
Cleaning the rollers
If the rollers of the electric suction brush become difficult to move:

→ Insert a screw driver into the inlet inclination and prise out the rollers.
Note: While prising, hold your had over the roller so that the roller doesn't jump off.
→ Remove hair or threads that have wound over the axes of the rollers.
→ Re-insert the rollers and ensure that both the axes have locked in properly.
Replacing the brush roller

→ Loosen the locking hook using a screw-driver and remove the front hood.

→ Turn the electrical suction brush and remove the housing lid.
→ Dismantle the brush roller.
→ Pull out the roller bearing and clean it.
→ Insert the roller bearing.
→ Assemble the brush roller. Ensure that the gears of the toothed belt match with the cogs.
→ Replace the housing lid.
→ Replace the hood and press it evenly until it locks in.
Troubleshooting
⚠️Danger
Before working on the appliance, switch it off and pull out the plug of the vacuum cleaner!
The mechanism for protection against overheating switched off the motor when it is overloaded, for e.g. because the brush roller is blocked.
→ Pull out the mains plug.
→ Check the brush roller for impurities and remove any objects that may be blocking its movement.
→ Allow device to cool down.
Wait for approx. 2 minutes before restarting the appliance.
Warranty
The warranty terms published by the relevant sales company are applicable in each country. We will repair potential failures of your appliance within the warranty period free of charge, provided that such failure is caused by faulty material or defects in manufacturing. In the event of a warranty claim please contact your dealer or the nearest authorized Customer Service centre.
