Instructions for persons in the household

The appliance can be used by children age 8 and up and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lack of experience or limited knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed how to use appliance safely and have understood the dangers associated with using the product. The appliance is not a toy. Children may clean and care for the appliance only under supervision.

- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
Safety instructions for set-up and operation of the appliance
- Only switch the appliance on when it has been properly assembled.
- Ensure that there is sufficient space where the appliance is located. A minimum distance of 50~cm must be maintained between the appliance and other objects.

Do not use the appliance in rooms that are extremely dusty or in the vicinity of flammable substances.

Only connect the appliance to alternating current with voltage in accordance with the rating plate.
- This appliance may not be operated with an external timer or a remote control system.
- Never immerse the appliance or the power cord in water or other liquids - life-threatening danger!
- Do not open the motor housing under any circumstances, there is danger of electric shock!
- The appliance is intended for household use only, or for similar areas of use, such as,
- in kitchenettes in businesses, offices or other workplaces,
for use by guests in hotels, motels or other lodgings,
in private guesthouses holiday homes. - Ensure that the power cord is laid out in such a manner that there is no possibility of stumbling over it.
- To avo id damage to the cord, never wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- To avoiddama ge to the cord, always unplug the mains plug from the electrical outlet by grasping the plug, never pull the power cord to unplug the appliance.

Ensure that the electrical outlet used is easily accessible, in order to unplug the appliance in an emergency.

To avoid damage to the power cord, ensure that it is not pinched or pulled over corners.
- If possible, do not use an extension cord. If you must use an extension cord, completely unwind the extension cord and comply with the power limits of the respective extension cord.
- The appliance must never be used in wet/wet and cold rooms - danger of electric shock!
- Keep the appliance out of direct sunlight.
- Never stick objects such as fingers, needles, pins, etc. through the basket grille into the interior of the appliance - danger of injury!
- Ensure that long hair cannot be caught by the impeller.
o2. Regularly check the appliance, the plug and the power cord for wear or damage. In case of damage, please send the appliance for inspection and repair to our customer service department. Unauthorized repairs can result in serious hazards for the user and void the warranty. - If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manuafacture, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
- To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands.

- Do not place the fan in the vicinity of an open window. If it starts to rain there is danger of electric shock.

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

- Before assembling, ensure that you are assembling the appliance in a place that is level and dry.
- Remove all packaging materials and transport safeguards. Keep
the packaging material, such as plastic bags or Styrofoam away from small children - danger of suffocation!
- Check whether all needed parts are present.
- Have the support feet (12), the wind screws (13) and the connecting rods (14) ready.
- Slide one of the three holders over each of support foot.
- A connection rod (14) must be placed between each of the supporting feet and fastened with the wing screws (13) (see illustration).
- Slide the rubber ring (10) over the lower end of the support tube (9) and insert the support tube into the intended opening on the frame (12). In this process the recess on the support tube must point to the bore on the frame.
- Fix both components in place with the locking screw (11).
- Remove the screw from t he (5) motor.
- Fasten the lower basket cover on the motor housing; the carrying handle on the basket cover must point upward. Align the basket cover to the four openings on the motor. The holes provided on the
cover must be aligned precisely above the bores on the motor housing. Fix the cover in place with the screw (5).
- Remove the screw from the (4) impeller.
- Fit the impeller on the axle and fix it in place with the screw (4). In this process the impeller must not be fitted entirely over the axle but rather must seal flush with the axle on the front. Fasten the impeller with the screw, this must be fixed in place on the flattened side of the axle.
- Ensure that the impeller does not touch the basket cover, before you proceeding.
- Connect the front basket cover to the rear basket cover, by hooking the hook of the front basket cover into the groove on the rear basket cover, (groove and hook are each located at the bottom on the basket covers!)
- Fix the two basket covers in place by closing the clamps on the edge.
OPERATION
- Ensure that the appliance is standing on a suitable, level substrate, and has been set up so that it is safe and stable.
- Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
Setting the speed
- Switch on the appliance by selecting one of the three speed levels and setting the selected speed level via the speed regulator:
Level 1: Light breeze
Level 2: Moderate breeze
Level 3: Strong breeze
The regulator position "0" switches off the appliance.
- You can change between the different speed levels at any time.
Swing function/oscillation function
- Press the oscillation button on the rear of the appliance head downward (see illustration). The appli
ance now swings autonomously in a radius of 80^
- If you want to switch off the swing function, pull the oscillation button upward.
Setting the tilt angle

You can tilt the motor housing horizontally to a certain extent (approx. 20^ ). Slightly unscrew the knurled screw (see illustration). Tilt the basket cover to the desired angle. Caution: Only tilt the cover in the intended range and not beyond the point of tangible resistance, to avoid
damaging the appliance. Fix the fan in place in the set tilt angle by tightening the knurled screw.
Switching off
- To switch off the appliance, switch the speed regulator to "0". When you are no longer using the appliance, unplug the plug from the electrical outlet.
CLEANING AND CARE

To switch off the appliance, switch the speed regulator to "0", and unplug mains plug from the electrical outlet. Never immerse the appliance in water. The motor or electrical components of the appliance must not get wet.

Never use a nyabrasive scouring agents, steel wool, metal objects, hot cleaning agents or disinfectants.

Wipe off the stand tube and grille of the fan with a slightly damp cloth.
-
Store the fan in a dry, safe place so that it is protected from dust, impact, heat and moisture.
GUARANTEE CONDITIONS
We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs only in Germany and Austria. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal. Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products. By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment.
