How to charge the Flowclear 58482 robot?

Make sure the robot is turned off (switch on OFF). Connect the charging cable to the supplied external adapter, then to the robot. The indicator on the adapter turns red during charging and turns green when fully charged. Full charging takes 5 to 6 hours.

What to do if the robot does not pick up debris?

First check the battery charge. If the battery is low, recharge it. Then, check that the rotor is not blocked by debris. Clean the debris compartment and the filter. If the problem persists, consult online support.

Why does the robot stop in the middle of the pool?

The robot may be blocked by an obstacle or by the suction force of the bottom drain. Remove any obstacles and turn off the pool filtration system during cleaning.

How to clean the robot's filter?

Open the debris compartment, remove the filter and rinse it with fresh water. Make sure it is dry before putting it back. Do not use detergent.

How to store the Flowclear 58482 robot?

Clean and dry the robot thoroughly. Empty all water from the compartment. Fully charge the battery. Store it in a dry, ventilated place, away from sun, heat and chemicals, at a temperature of 10-25 °C. Recharge the battery at least once every three months.

The operating time is shorter than expected, what to do?

Clean the filter and debris compartment. Fully charge the robot for 5 to 6 hours. If the problem persists, the battery may be exhausted; contact support.

How to adjust the robot's path?

Use the locking pin on the wheel. In factory position, the path is straight. If it is too curved, remove the pin and insert it into the hole above to increase the curve. Follow the diagrams in the manual.

What to do if the swivel head does not turn properly?

Detach the swivel head and the bumper ring. Remove any stuck debris, check that the ring is not damaged and that the bottom plate is correctly installed. Replace the ring if necessary.

How to replace the side fin?

Detach the worn fin from its axle and clip the new one in place. Make sure it rotates freely. Replacement fins are available on the Bestway website.

The float is sinking, what to do?

If the float is damaged and water is leaking in, it must be replaced with a new one. Contact Bestway support for a replacement part.

When installing and using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

WARNING:

• Disconnect the pump from the supply mains before carrying out user maintenance such as cleaning the filter.
• The transformer is to be located outside zone 1.
• The appliance contains batteries that are only replaceable by skilled persons.
• Maximum water temperature: 35^ C ( 95^ F).
• The maximum operating depth in water is 3 meters (10 ft.).
• For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable supply unit (external adaptor) provided with this robot.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. (For EU market)
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or

- Battery installed is a rechargeable Li-ion battery pack. Never attempt to replace the battery pack.

• The battery must be removed from the pool vacuum before it is scrapped.
• The pool vacuum must be disconnected from the supply mains (electrical outlet) when removing the battery.
• The battery must be disposed of safely and properly.

The robot has a water propelling nozzle at the bottom of the top swivel head. Water is first sucked in from the suction mouth on at the bottom of the robot, goes through the filter and then discharged from the propelling nozzle. Water jetting from the nozzle propels the robot forward. Once the robot stops against an obstacle like pool wall, its side flap rotates and its swivel head turns 180°. The robot will start moving in the opposite direction. The robot moves in a generally straight pattern in one direction and in an arc pattern in the other direction. While moving, the robot vacuums the pool bottom capturing the debris inside the debris compartment.

Assembly and Operation

WARNING For Charging

• Use only the original external adaptor and provided charging cable.
  • Make sure the robot and the charger port are clean and dry before set-up.
  • Make sure that the robot is turned off by sliding the switch to OFF position prior to charging.
• Fully charge the robot (about 5-6 hrs) before using it for the first time.
  • Power indicator light: No light - Power off / no power

Light - Power on

Blinking light - Battery power will cease within 10 minutes.

Note: Once the robot begins charging, the indicator light on the external adaptor will turn red. When the robot is almost fully charged, the indicator light will turn green.

To increase the curve of the trajectory, remove the pin from the hole and insert it in the hole which is located above the pin hole as shown.

Note: 1. It's advised to turn off the filtration system as water circulation in pool may affect the robot movement pattern.

1. Move pool ladder, surface skimmer and other floating objects from the pool as it may obstruct the movement of the robot's float and, consequently, also the movement of the robot.
2. If you are using saltwater pool, make sure all salt is dissolved before placing the robot into the water.

Maintenance and Storage

1. Battery discharges on its own during storage. Make sure to fully-charge the robot before storage.
2. You must re-charge the battery at least once every three months when it is not in use.
3. Unplug the external adaptor from the socket and then unplug the charging cable from the external adaptor and robot.
4. Detach accessories from the robot. If necessary, rinse the robot and accessories with fresh water. DO NOT use detergent.
5. Be sure to drain the water from the robot before storing it.
6. Use a damp cloth to clean and dry the robot and its accessories.
7. Store them in a well-ventilated area away from sunlight, heat, ignition sources, pool chemicals and from children. Ambient temperature for storage should be 10^ - 25^ ( 50^ - 77^ ). NOTE: A higher storage temperature may reduce the battery life.

How to remove the battery pack

Recommended tools (not included): Screwdriver.

1. Release the top cover (preassembled with the swivel head). Turn the cover up side down and release the swivel head by turning its bottom locking plate counter-clockwise. Remove the swivel smoothing-ring.

1. Use the screwdriver to unscrew the 4 screws located on the bottom of the head to release the bottom plate at first. Use the screwdriver to unscrew all the screws on the base as shown. Remove the impeller and then pry up the base and remove it to expose head inside.

1. Remove the battery pack to expose the PCBA. To detach the battery connection wire, press the clip on the connector and then pull it out. NOTE: Wrap the connector immediately with insulating tape in order to avoid short circuit caused by contact of both wire terminals.

DISPOSAL

Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist.

Check with your local authority or retailer for recycling advice.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Robot does not capture debris.	Battery is low. Charge the robot again.
	Impeller is jammed.	Power off the robot and visually check the hole under the debris. For assistance, please visit the support section on our website, www.bestwaycorp.com.WARNING! Make sure the robot is powered off before servicing the device.

	Debris compartment is full.	Clean the debris compartment and filter cover.
Robot stopped moving in the middle of pool(swivel head still turning).	Robot stopped by obstacle.	Check to see that if there is object obstructing the cleaner. Remove the obstacle.
	Robot is stopped by suction force from main pool floor drain.	Turn off the filtration system (See instructions in manual).
Robot does not cover the entire pool / move along the pool wall.	Debris compartment is full.	Clean the debris compartment
	Operation time is shorter than expected.	Clean the filter compartment and recharge the robot again for 5 - 6 hrs
	Moving direction is interrupted by water circulation generated by filtration system.	Turn off the filtration system (See instructions in manual).
	Wheel is jammed.	Check and clean out debris from the wheel.
	Locking pin position is not correct / bumper is required.	Follow manual instructions to set up the locking pin position properly and apply bumper.
	Robot moves along the pool wall of round pool.	Make sure the bumpers have been installed (See instructions in manual).
Robot trapped in the narrow place of the in-ground pool.	Not enough space for robot to change directions.	Follow manual instructions to put bumper on both ends of robot.
Robot moves slowly.	Debris compartment is full.	Clean the debris compartment and filter cover.
Swivel head does not turn or turns noticeably slowly.	Swivel head bottom is jammed.	Detach the swivel head and smoothening-ring in accordance with instructions of section "How to remove the battery pack" from the manual, then:- Remove trapped debris- Verify the smoothening-ring and bottom plate are installed correctly (refer to below diagrams)- Inspect the smoothening-ring for potential damages and wear and tear. Replace with a new one if necessary
	Side flap is jammed.	Check and remove any debris that hinders the movement of the flap.
	Swivel smoothing-ring is broken.	Replace with a new swivel smoothing-ring.For assistance, please visit the support section on our website, www.bestwaycorp.com.
Debris escapes from the robot.	Suction mouth's flap (on cleaner bottom) is broken.	Suction mouth's flap works like a door to prevent the debris from escaping from the debris compartment.For assistance, please visit the support section on our website, www.bestwaycorp.com.
	Draining filter plate is broken or not in place.	Make sure the draining filter plate is in place and replace a new one if necessary before next use.

Float sinks.	Float is broken and water goes in.	Replace with a new float.For assistance, please visit the support section on our website, www.bestwaycorp.com.
