3. Dangers emanating from
the tool Before each use, check the HAZET tool for full functionality. Do not use the tool if its functional efficiency cannot be ensured or if damage is detected. If the tool is used, when it is not in full working order, you risk severe injuries to persons and damage to property.
- Do not use tools with a defective On-/Off- switch. Tools that cannot be switched on or off with their ON/OFF-switch are dangerous and have to be repaired.
- All service or repair work must be carried out by qualified personnel only. In order to guarantee long term operational safety, only original spare parts must be used.
- Do not remove safety devices/guards and/ or housing parts.
- Never operate the tool if a protective cover is missing or if not all of the safety devices/ guards are fitted and in perfect condition.
- For safety reasons any modification of HAZET tools is strictly forbidden. Any modi
fication of the tool will result in immediate exclusion from express or implied warranty and liability.
- Wear working gloves. During load-operation vibra
tions are transmitted to the user. It is therefore absolute-
necessary to wear work- ing gloves.
- Wear eye protection. Pneumatic tools can raise chips, dust and other abrad
particles at high speed what may result in severe eye injuries. Compressed air is dangerous. The air flow may cause harm to sensitive parts of the body like eyes, ears, etc. Dust and objects being raised by the air flow may cause inju
Wear hearing protection. Long exhibition to the work
ing noise of pneumatic tools may result in a permanent hearing loss.
- Wear a face mask or breathing protection. Breathing in the steam of some materials like adhe
sives and tar that contain dangerous chemicals can cause serious harms to the lungs and respiratory tracts.
- Wear proper-fitting protective clothing. Tools with moving parts can get caught in the hair, cloth
ing, jewellery or other loose objects what may result in severe injuries. Never wear too large clothing and/or clothing with bands or loops which may get caught in the moving parts of the tool. During the work, take off jewel
lery, watches, identification tags, bracelets, necklaces etc. that could get caught in the tool. Never touch the moving parts of a tool. Long hair should be covered or tied together.
- Keep children away from pneumatic tools. Unattended tools or tools that are connected to the compressed air supply may be used by non-authorized persons and could injure them or other persons.
- Do not use the tool in explosive atmos
phere. Tools such as pneumatic chisels can produce sparks that may ignite com- bustible materials. Never operate tools in proximity to combustible substances like petrol, naphtha, detergents etc. Work in well-cleaned and well-ventilated areas only. Keep combustible materials out of the work area. Never use oxygen, carbon dioxide or other bottled gases to power pneumatic tools.16 Do not leave any pneumatic tool unattended if it is connected to a compressed air sup- ply. Always wear personal protective equipment!
- Do not point the tool at any person. Keep children and other persons out of the work area when operating the tool.
- Do not use the tool in no-load operation. Tools such as chisels etc. may break off and be hurled around and may cause severe injury to the user or to persons in the work area.
- Do not allow pneumatic tools to come into contact with sources of electricity.
- Pay attention to the working pressure! For the max. air pressure please refer to the respective operating instruction or application note. Exceeding the approved maximum pressure of tools and accessories can cause explosions and may result in severe injuries. The maximum pressure of the compressed air must be equal or inferior to the approved pressure load indicated for the air drill.
- Check tight fit of the air hose connec
tions. Do not use defective or worn pres- sure hoses or adapters of inferior qual- ity. Uncontrollably moving pressure hoses may cause severe injuries.
- Only disconnect pneumatic tools in an unpressurized state. Uncontrollably mov

- In the case of leakages or other malfunc
tions, the appliance must be immediately disconnected from the compressed air supply and the cause of troubles has to be eliminated.
- Do not use quick-release couplings direct
ly at the tool. There must be a pressure hose of at least 20 cm length between the tool and the quick-release coupling.
- Ensure air hose is disconnected when changing chisels, needles, sockets etc.
- Before lubricating or changing chisels, nee
dles or sockets always disconnect the pneu- matic tool from the compressed air supply.
- Regularly check the tools for functional effi- ciency.
Only use tools that are intended for the use with the respective device, i.e. chisels for pneumatic chisels, grinding wheels and abra
sive belts for pneumatic grinding tools etc.
- Please observe the reaction torque. Pay attention to the reaction moment and to a possible breakage of the tool. In confined spaces, reaction torques may lead to severe injuries. Countermeasures must be taken against unexpected reaction torques.

For your safety17 Do not leave any pneumatic tool unattended if it is connected to a compressed air sup- ply. Always wear personal protective equipment! Ensure that pneumatic tools are always used, inspected and maintained in compliance with the respective local, state, national or federal regulations.
- Always disconnect the device from the compressed air supply prior to carrying out maintenance work.
- Use a cleaning spirit to clean the tool or its individual parts.
- Never clean with solvents or acids, esters (organic compounds comprising acids and alcohol), acetone (ketone), chlorin
ated hydrocarbons or oils containing nitro hydrocarbons. Do not use any chemicals with a low burning point.
- Replace damaged or worn components such as O-rings and bearings.
- Only use spare parts recommended by the manufacturer, as any other parts will invalidate any express or implied warranty.
- Ensure that the relevant environmental protection regulations are observed when disposing of individual parts, lubricants and oils, etc.
- Drain the compressor tank and remove the condensate from the air lines. Carefully read operating instructions for the com
pressor. Lubricating:
- Pneumatic tools have to be lubricated throughout their whole serviceable life. The engine and the ball bearings require compressed air to operate the tool. As moisture of the compressed air corrodes the engine, the engine must be lubricated every day. We recommend to use an inte
- HAZET 9070-1 Oiler for mounting to the pneumatic tool. IMPORTANT: We recommend using air filters and a compressed air line lubri- cator. ATTENTION! Disconnect the compressed air supply prior to lubricating, con- necting or disconnecting the tool. Lubricating the pneumatic motor manually:
- Disconnect tool from the air supply and hold with the air inlet showing upwards. Put 1 or 2 drops of special pneumatic oil into the air inlet.
- Connect the tool to the air supply; cover the air exit of the tool with a towel and operate a few seconds.
ble liquids, e.g. kerosene, petrol, diesel, etc. to lubricate the tool. ATTENTION! Excess oil in the motor will be exhausted immediately through the air exhaust. CAUTION! Never point the air exhaust at any person or at any object.
- Only use the manufacturer’s original spare parts.
- Unsuitable or defective spare parts may cause damage, malfunction or total failure of the tool.
- The use of non-approved spare parts will void all warranty, service and liability claims as well as all claims for compensation against the manufacturer or its agents, distributors and sales representatives.
